Chapter 154: 154. Having a bad feeling
"Promise you won’t do anything that will harm you." Levi said. Mateo was often a man of his word and he would do whatever it takes to keep a promise and that was what he wanted from him. A promise.
"Alpha wouldn’t let even if I wanted to do something that stupid." He said and Levi smiled. It was true that Darren wouldn’t allow it.
"Okay, then I will leave you now, I hope to meet you in a better state next time." He said and turned to leave the house and go find his mate in the Alpha’s house.
"Take care of yourself," Mateo said before Levi could close the door.
"I will, and I hope the seat for you too." Mateo nods and Levi finally closes the door.
He did not like the state at which his brother was but there was nothing that he could do other than to hope and pray to the goddess that she helps him recover and even bestore on him a second chance mate who will help him heal completely and bring back the Mateo that they all knew and loved.

At the Alpha’s mansion,
Kora had worn a loose shirt that covered her up to her thighs and descended the stairs the moment she heard Emily push open the front door and the sound of the servants greeting her.
"Are you still in bed?" Emily asked when she saw her disheveled hair. "I wish I had as much time as you do right now."
"Good morning to you Emily." Kora said and Emily pouted. "Why did you run all.the way here?"
"To see an ungrateful friend," Emily said and sat on the couch.
"Luna," aaid walked in with a tray filled with biscuits and tea. Kora turned to look at the maid, she nodded and. They dropped the tray on the table and left after being dismissed.
Emily picked the teapot and poured the tea into the cups and gave one to Kora and one for herself, "This is for you, Luna." Emulh said with a playful smile.
Kora took and asked, "What brought you here so early, gamma female?" Emily’s smile dropped after being called gamma female. It was because of that title that she couldn’t even spend some time with her best friend anymore.
"I missed you, Kora." Emily said, her eyes were on the cup of tea in her hands. "I wish to spend some time with the people I love,"
"That will be possible soon,": Kora said and took a sip of her tea. "Nothing has been or will be the same as before we met our mates, Emily, but we can always make time for each other, like right now."
"I guess that is true." Emily said with a nod of the head. "Levi would be here soon if I don’t go back," she said and drank all of the tea. "I just hope we finish this soon."
"Be careful, Emily," Kora said and Emily frowned. Kora wouldn’t tell anyone ’be careful if there was nothing wrong.
"What is wrong?" She asked and moved to sit next to Kora and held her left arm.
"I just have a bad feeling about everything, nothing is certain." Kora replied. The feeling of something going wrong with someone she knew was strong but she was not sure what would go wrong or who it would affect. "I just want you Levi to be alright."
Emily threw her arms around her and engulfed her in a tight hug. "We will make sure we are alright." She said and Kora nodded.

At the Shadow Moon pack
Dana walked down into the office of Lazarus and stood in front of his desk with her folded across her chest. She looked angry and he didn’t know what he had done to upset his mate. She stood there and stared at him without saying a word until it became uncomfortable. "My love..."
"Why didn’t you or anyone tell either Rosie and me about Ezra’s decision to go out there in his current state of mind?" She said, cutting him off. She didn’t want anything to happen to him, there was no telling how he would cope after the change that had occurred in his life. It was so visible to everyone that he was not the same.
"Dana," Lazarus called end and stood up. He walked and stood behind her and hugged her from behind. He pressed a kiss on her temple and said, "It was his decision to do so,and we can’t keep him locked up in the pack always, he needs to go out there and do what will make him happy again."
"I don’t like it, Lazarus, my sixth sense tells me that something will go wrong." Dana said, she let herself relax in her mate’s arms.
"He has been out for quite some time already and he is doing fine," Lazarus assured her but she just couldn’t shake off the feeling of something going wrong.
"You can’t be too sure," Dana said and turned to look at his face, she cupped his cheek while the other hand was placed on his chest, "I have a bad feeling about it and I can’t shake it off."
If there was anything that Laarus had learned was not to take a woman’s worry and concern lightly, especially that of mother. Dana may not be Ezra’s mother, but she was a mother to the Blood Moon Pack which Ezra was a part of. "I will send someone to check up on him, and stay with him until they return." He said only to ease her worry but because he was now starting to feel the same.
"Okay," Dana said, the frown on her face easing up. "I missed you last night," She said and he smiled and leaned in to kiss her.
"Sorry I was held up." He said and ruffled his hair. "We can carry whatever activity you had planned for tonight, if you don’t mind." he said with a smirk playing on his lips.
"It almost noon, we are needed." She said and tried to get away from his arms. "I just want to make sure that Extant is okay, we can do this at night when there is no one to disturb us."
"As you wish." He said and kissed once more before letting her go. "I will let you know once I receive information on Ezra.
"I wouldl be expecting words from you soon," She said and walked out of the office. Lazarus mind-linked a warrior and asked him to track down Ezra and report to him.
