Chapter 139: 139. I am sorry
The place cooled down speedily and the lava turned solid. Everyone wondered what had just happened because they did not expect everything to be over so soon.
Looking around them, they saw the alpha walking towards his mate very alive they thought that they were all seeing things now. He was dead and they felt the don’t snap,
So what was going on now?
Darren reached where Gaia stood and to hub her and she shifts. Her hair covered her back as she remained squatted down. All the men around turned to look in the opposite direction not wanting to get the alpha riled up for staring at his mate while she was without clothes.
"I am sorry," He whispered into her ear while his hands went around her. "I am so sorry." Kora Buried her face in his chest and let him hold her. Tears of relief streaked down as she hugged him and he kept her safe.
Lucinda came over with a loose dress for her which Darren took from her and gave to Kora. He picked her up after she had with the dress and headed for his mansion. Whoever was left behind by the head Whitch had already been killed.
And Kora needs to rest even if it was just a little. The night was brightening up as a sign of the coming sun. The night has been long and eventful for everyone and they had also lost pack members.
The warriors from Ghora had helped them but even they too could be killed and some of them bid farewell to life tonight.
Led by the Alpha supreme with the Luna in his hands, everyone found a place to stay for the moment while the severely injured were all sent to the pack’s hospital for treatment.
Behind them were Levi and Mateo. They were just like everyone else, confused at Darren’s return to life but unlike some of them, they were truly happy to have him back. No one questioned him and they all just walked back to the pack house or where ever they will be spending a moment to sleep.
Dana and Lazarus followed Darren and Kora to the mansion where a room was prepared for them. They got into their room and Dana mind-linked Rosie. There was no time before there is time now. They could come back.
On The other side, in the Alpha’s bedroom, Darren carried Kora who had her head between his shoulder and neck as she reached in his scent. Her hands around him were firm as if she didn’t want to let go and just clung to him.
He did not question and held her in his arms. If it were he who had lost her, and then got her back like this, then he wouldn’t want to let her go, ever. He sat at the edge of the bed and cradled her.
"My love," Darren called to her. He strokes her hair climbing it with his fingers. The red color that was at the tips was slowly changing back to blue. "I am sorry you had to go through that, I promise it won’t ever happen again."
Kora looked broken and vulnerable as tears came running down her face not able to hold back her emotions anymore. "I thought I lost you." She said between sobs.
"I am sorry," He repeated his words. He didn’t know how to make it up to her neither did h have the right words to console her. He felt bad and he was bit there for her and she had to go through the pain of losing her mate. "I am here now."
"I know," Kora said and raised her head to look up at his face. Her hands went to his face and she stared into his dark eyes, she then turned to straddle him. She then leans and pressed her lips against his with her eyes closed. Darren let her do whatever she wanted and she kissed and tasted him like she wanted to confirm that it was him who jed her right now and not an illusion. "Thank you for coming back." She whispered after breaking the kiss.
"I won’t ever leave you again," He said. His hand under the dress held and caressed her bare back in a soothing motion. Lens for another kiss and she closed her eyes with her lips slightly parted to give access to him. "I love you."
"I love you too." She said and placed her head on his shoulder again. "What happened?" She asked and Darren took a second to understand what she was asking.
"Let’s take a bath, u will tell you everything once you are well rested." He said standing up with her in his hands again and then walked into the bathroom.
"Okay." She said and wrapped her hands around his neck. Together, they entered the bathroom and he placed her inside the bath and turned the water on before taking off his pants and joining her inside. He helped take off her dress and threw t to the floor.
The water increased in quantity with them soaked in it. Darren had decided to bathe her and she let him without any complaints.
He played with her sensitive parts while she leaned on him, their chests touching and her face on the nook of his shoulder as she straddled him in the tub and his hand between her legs. She felt the heat building up in her body and her need for him stayed building up inside her.
She could also feel his body heating up but he stopped and made her look at him, "Should we continue?" He asked. He wanted to make sure that she was up for it before moving further into pleasure.
"Yes," She replied and he smiled at her. Pushing her hair behind, he captured her lips. He kissed and sucked on her tongue while she moaned into his mouth. While his hand continued to play with her folds, measuring her and she pressed her body more into his. He supported her with a hand around her waist.
He trailed kissed down to her neck and sucked in where his Mark was. A sigh escaped from her when his lips touched his mark on her.
