Chapter 132: 132. Ready yourselves
Kora and Darren drifted away from the others and deeper into the battle with many Alphas and Lunas leading different groups of warriors as they fought with the Abominations and rogues. Now even the vampires had joined in on the fight and they seem to be more of them coming the fight became more tense.
Kora was using her hands to fend off the rogues that attacked her because she was more experience combating in her human skin than her beast skin. Although Gaia was experienced in it, Kora didn’t want to tire her out so early into the fight they all knew would take longer before it comes to an end.
The Warriors from Ghora were around Kora to make sure the Luna was alright. They didn’t bother much about the Alpha as they all knew he was more than capable of handling himself well. They barely let her fight because they looked at how young she was. Even though she was their Luna, she was still young and they thought of her as inexperienced.
That was until an Abomination went passed them and got her. She held two silver blades and fought with them rather than shift and she was like an assassin trained to kill Abominations.
Using her smaller size compared to the big creatures that attacked her and her speed, she was quick to send it lying still on the ground before moving to another. She moved so fast that they were not able to stop her and before they knew what was happening, she was surrounded by those Abomination creatures.
["Are you alright?"] Darren asked her through the link. He was worried but he also knew she could handle herself just fine and didn’t want to be like an overbearing mate.
["Mhm, I am alright."] She replied looking in his direction. Her eyes glowed red and green. ["Don’t worry about me."]
["That is impossible, love."] He replied to her while looking at Abiminatiins around her. ["But I’ll try."]. The link was cut when he saw her nod.
Kora stood in the middle of a circle created by the Abominations. She stood there unmoving. Not even attempting to shift which made some of the Alphas sand warriors who saw her warry and thinking she was frozen in fear. They turned to look at the alpha who gave a glance at her but did not make the attempt to come to her aid and they began to wonder why. They knew he was possessive and something like this should have driven his possessiveness and urge to protect her to it peek but it did no such thing and they all decided to wait and see and only help her when necessary.
In the circle, the Abominations came at her all at once but before they could touch her, they all burned up and turned to dust within seconds. This incident left them once again with wide eyes and dropped jaws.
For a moment the fight around her ceased as they stared at her wondering what she was. Why were the women from the Blood Moon pack having other abilities that shifters didn’t possess? They wondered only coming out of their dazed state when she moved forward and further into the heart of the battle.
Alphas Julio and Zeke Followed her with some of the other Alphas and warriors whom they did not know where they came from only that they belonged to the Alpha and only showed up now because he had asked them to come and take over the security of the ceremony.
They made the fight fairly easy as they seem more trained than most other warriors. Together, they moved with Kora clearing the path. They didn’t know where she was heading but they followed her nonetheless.
Kora heard Gaia tell her to go in the direction of the hills. There was something or someone there whom she wanted to meet and Kora was also eager to know who that person was.
When the vampires joined in the attack, it became more difficult to go past all three different creatures and everyone shifted including Kora. Her beast also came as a surprise to most of the shifters but there was no time to waste staring and asking themselves questions that they wouldn’t get the answers to.
["Ready yourselves,"] The voice of Gaia resounded in the heads of the shifter with her. They were once again surprised at the different voice that spoke to them through the link but they did not break the focus as it would be the end of them if they did so. ["Dmitri is close."] She warned them.
The shifters nearly paused to take a second to digest what she had just said. They all knew that name but have never met him before. That was the name of the Vampire lord who was the man behind the scene of the rogue and vampire attacks.
["Understood, Luna,"] They said in unison.

Away from them to where the three humans stood.
David held a gun which was given to him by Hunter with silver bullets in it, he was reloading the bullets. He looked around and cursed under his breath. When he came he never expected something like this to happen they were unprepared and would have died had Hunter not come prepared. Even at that, they should find a way to get out as soon as possible because they war quickly running out of ammunition and means to defend themselves.
He looked at the distance and saw what two of the shifter women could of and that was something even Hunter said he had no idea of. He had even seen witches, creatures he never thought existed. But coming to think of it now, he never thought any of these creatures existed before a few weeks ago.
He raised the gun and shot a rogue that had just found him in the head and he dropped to the ground. " How far unto we are out of the hell hole?" she asked Hunter. They were not prepared for this at all.
"A bit longer," Hunter replied and turned to shout at an Abomination, another creature that he had missed during his study of the nonhumans and they were harder to kill even with the silver bullets making him empty a lot more bullets at them.
"This weapon is good," Jack said seemingly the only one who was having fun in all the mess around them. He was in a relatively good mood.
"You are enjoying this too much, Jack," David said with a glare and irritation. He did not like how high-spirited Jack was in the current situation.
"I told you, I am doing this for the fun of it." He replied with a grin
"Try not to get killed," Hunter said coming between them to get their heads back at what was happening around them.
