Chapter 111: 111. Live separately
Ezra and Mateo sat as spectators, watching the drama unfold without speaking. They wondered what their mates’ parents would be like when they found them, would they be sweet and welcoming, or would they be like Emily’s parents, or maybe different?
"Do you all agree to this?" Lazarus asked. Everyone nodded at him and he made a call through the link to both of Emily’s parents.
A few minutes later, they walked into the pack house. they turned surprised at the sight of the people sitting inside. They did not know why the alpha had called for them but they came as quickly as they could. Their eyes fell on their daughter who was seated next to Ezra.
"You sent for us, Alpha," They bowed noin respect to Lazarus and Dana before turning to Darrem and doing the same. They have a polite and respectful smile to Kora.
"We did," Lazarus said. He gestured to an empty seat. "Have a seat and we will continue."
They both sat stiffly. In the whole room, they were of the least rank and the pressure of the people who were seated was a bit too much to handle. Their daughter, being mated to a supreme gamma moved her higher and Kora has always been unapproachable. Her presence and the air around her had always been heavy.
"You don’t mind if a join you, Alpha, do you?" Stella asked as she walked through the door. "I believe this meeting is about my granddaughter, I would like to be a part of it, with your permission."
"Stella," Dana said with a smile and walked over to the woman to help her to a seat. Emily’s mother followed her, taking her other hand as they led her to her seat. "You are always welcome in here, you know that Stella."
"That is very nice of you," Atella said with a smile. "But I know my place, Luna." The woman sat and Dana left to ain’t where she was sitting beside Lazarus and Emily’s mother did the same, sitting beside her mate.
Emily tried to hide the smile that jas appears on her face as she looked at her grandmother. Other father fails to convince her mother, she is certain that her grandmother would do the job just fine.
"Am I permitted, Alpha?"Stella asked and Lazarus smiled.
"You are Stella," Lazarus said.
"Thank you, Alpha." Said, Stella. Her eyes moved to look at where Kora and Darren were seated. "It is a pleasure to finally meet you in person, Supreme Alpha."
Darren looked at the woman who had just come in on her own and was welcomed personally by Luna of the pack and a warm. Smile from Alpha. If he didn’t know any better he would have thought she was the mother to either of them. "Likewise." He replied and she smiled at him.
"How are you, child?" She asked looking at Kora now. Kora gave her a mod and the woman smiled at her without speaking again.
Silence enveloped the room, everyone was waiting for either Darren or Lazarus to speak. Darren did not speak as he thought it was proper that Lazarus should be the one talking as the couple in front of them being to his pack. Understanding this, Lazarus spoke.
"James," He addressed her father first. "Do you know that your daughter found her mate?"
"Yes, Alpha, I know," James answered. He looked at his aloha and Luna before looking at the man who was mated to his daughter. "I will support my daughter’s decision, whichever it is."
Lazarus nodded to him before looking at the woman. "What is your take on this, Scarlett?"
"She is still too young to go with a man." She stated. Scarlett said and everyone raised a grow as if that has ever stopped a shifter from being mated. While everyone raised their brows, Darren frowned. If Emily was too young and should leave with her mate, then what about Kora his mate? She was a few months younger than Emily.
"Do es that matter to us, the shifters?" Levi asked and the woman glared at him.
"What you are saying is you are against it beacaysebifbher age and not the one to whom she is mated. Am I correct?" Darren asked. Scarlett didn’t accept or refuse his words. "If that is the case, then they can live separately from each other. In different rooms."
Levi felt offended by his Alpha’s words. WhileEkiky blushed. A mischievous blunt flashed across Dana’s eyes and she asked, "Alpha Darren, are you saying that you will stay in a different room from Kora because she is eighteen?"
Darren’s head snapped in the direction of Dana and halted at her with his now red eyes and a growl left his throat.
Raven and Ezra laughed audibly while Rosie and Mateo tried to muffle their laughs. Levi felt vindicated. Lazarus had a smile on his face and slowly shook his head at his mate. Korahad a smile on her face after seeing Darren’s reaction and Emily looked away so they don’t see her laughing at the alpha. While James and Scarlett didn’t know how to react.
Stella chuckled and called to their attention. "Children." She said. Everyone turned to face her now. "The only important thing here is what these two people think and want. We can’t stop them from being together because the goddess has approved of their union by creating a bond between them. They are each other’s souls." She said and looked at Scarlett. "Scarlett, you were her age when my son found and brought you home. Let the children decide for themselves what they want, if they feel they are not meant to be or are incompatible, let them reject each other."
"But mother..." Scarlet was about to protest but James stopped her. "Mother is right. The goddess allowed it, we have no right to interfere."
"Emily, do you accept gamma Levi as your mate or do reject him?" Lazarus asked. The room went into silence after his question.
Emily’s eyes met with her mother’s who looked like she has a lot of things to say but was unable to. "Yes, I accept him."
