Chapter 2467: Chapter 2467: I’m Not in a Good Mood Today
Home is still the warmest place.
As soon as she got home and changed her shoes, Little Clementine, held by Butler Santana, leaned toward her.
"Baby, Mommy hug!" Jasmine Yale happily ran over, reaching to hold Little Clementine.
After a day apart, she really missed Little Clementine.
She didn’t know how to manage work in the future.
Little Clementine danced with joy.
Jasmine Yale held the soft little one in her arms, looking down at the little one’s face: "Have you been good? Slept well?"
Little Clementine’s face nestled against Jasmine Yale’s chest, with bright, shiny eyes.
Jasmine Yale loved the soft, cute little one, and kissed her several times.
Whenever she kissed Little Clementine, Little Clementine got even happier.
"Miss Yale, it’s quite cold outside, isn’t it? How did the afternoon interview go?"
"It was okay, the usual routine, waiting for notification."
"Oh, oh, that’s good, no rush."
"What are we having for dinner? I feel like having sweet and sour fish," Jasmine Yale said with a smile.
"Sure, I’ll go out to buy groceries later. You stay home and play with Little Clementine."
"Okay!"
Jasmine Yale liked taking Little Clementine to the balcony.
Little Clementine was very curious about the outside world, and she liked to reach out her little hands to touch the window glass, where there was a layer of hazy white mist. The little one loved leaving her little paw prints on the mist, playing enthusiastically.
Butler Santana made her a cup of green tea, and Jasmine Yale sat on a chair playing with Little Clementine.
In the corner were neatly stacked newspapers, but she’s been too busy lately to have time to read many of them.
When Little Clementine lay on her lap, she would casually flip through the newspaper, skimming.
The entertaining news wasn’t much, and Jasmine soon found it boring, discarding the newspaper and no longer flipping through it.
"Baby, should we watch TV? Do you like watching it?" Jasmine Yale used the remote to switch to a cartoon.
Little Clementine didn’t show interest either way, but with the TV on, the bedroom became much more lively.
Jasmine Yale disliked quietness.
She herself quite enjoyed watching cartoons. Most cartoons were carefree, simple to understand, and didn’t require much thought.
She couldn’t appreciate sophisticated things, much like she didn’t enjoy concerts or operas.
Little Clementine played on her lap, seemingly very happy.
Jasmine Yale knew that when this baby was in a good mood, she was better behaved than anyone else, but when she was in a bad mood, she could become quite wild.
She had to go along with Little Clementine, trying not to incite her temper.
Just as she was playing with Little Clementine, Jasmine Yale’s phone rang.
It was Kade Yuvan.
"Assistant Yuvan."
"Jasmine, what are you up to, do you have time? Let’s go out for a meal; last month we said we’d meet up."
"It’s pouring rain, let’s do it another day."
"I’m not feeling great today, want to find someone to have a meal with." The voice on the other end sounded really down.
"What happened?" Jasmine Yale patiently asked.
"I can’t explain over the phone, let’s find a place to sit; I’m really not feeling good today."
"Is it because of the rain?" Jasmine Yale couldn’t think of any other reason; it couldn’t be heartbreak, as Kade didn’t even have a girlfriend!
"No."
"Are you alone?"
"Yes, alone."
Jasmine Yale pondered for a moment, then nodded: "Alright, let’s go to that Southeast Asian restaurant we visited last time. I’ll take a cab over. Seven o’clock, be on time."
"I’ll come pick you up; it’s raining."
"No need, you’d have to detour from the office. No need to pick me up."
