Chapter 2466: Chapter 2466: The Man Stands Tall and Steady-Faced

After the interview, Jasmine Yale headed towards the elevator.

The elevator happened to arrive on this floor, and as the doors opened, Jasmine’s eyes lit up. She immediately rushed towards the elevator, fearing the doors might close!

As a result, once she stood inside the elevator, all the documents in her hands fell to the floor with a rustle!

"Sorry, sorry." Jasmine bent down to pick them up, neatly stacking the scattered papers.

The elevator descended slowly.

When she finished gathering the papers and looked up, she saw the owner of the Bentley.

The man stood upright, with a calm and steady expression, but upon seeing her, he slightly nodded to acknowledge her, his eyes projecting a composed and collected gaze.

His hand was casually tucked in the pocket of his trousers, and his immaculate suit was spotless.

Jasmine also smiled and greeted him.

He was still wearing the same suit, but there was a blue badge from ZR Group hanging on his chest. So, he was an employee of ZR?

Jasmine glanced sidelong and saw the name on his badge—Will Caddel.

"Here for an interview?" Will Caddel spoke first.

"Yes, an interview. What a coincidence."

"It is quite a coincidence. What department?"

"Market assistant. It seems this position is hiring a lot."

"Oh, right." He nodded, "But it’s not very suitable for girls. It requires frequent business trips, handling business deals. The work intensity is pretty high. You could try copywriting, planning, or promotional jobs. Our company is hiring for those too."

He wasn’t the type to be very reserved, yet his demeanor remained steady, his speech unhurried.

"I can do well in it. A market assistant position offers more personal growth, right?"

"Not interested in the others?"

"No, as long as it’s work, I’m patient and passionate. But I still want to challenge myself," Jasmine said softly.

Will Caddel remained silent, but a middle-aged man standing behind him chuckled: "Young lady, don’t bite off more than you can chew. Just don’t complain about hardships later. I’ve seen people quit marketing after just one day. Being young, don’t be overly confident."

Jasmine laughed, "Not confident at all. What I’m lacking most is confidence. Like now, I don’t even think I’ll pass the interview."

Will Caddel also laughed, "I can put in a good word for you to get in."

"I never thought about using shortcuts."

"No, being able to use shortcuts is a kind of skill," Will Caddel said casually, his demeanor tranquil.

Before Jasmine could grasp the meaning behind his words, the elevator arrived.

The group, including Will Caddel, reached the ninth floor.

Will Caddel led the way, followed by several middle-aged men in suits.

As the elevator doors closed, Will Caddel’s tall figure gradually disappeared, and so did the group.

Jasmine was left alone in the elevator.

The first floor arrived quickly.

It was still raining outside; the rain cascaded endlessly.

Jasmine stood at the brightly lit building entrance for quite a while. Finally, she packed the documents into her backpack, opened her umbrella, and walked into the rain.

The wind was stronger than she anticipated, nearly causing her to struggle with the umbrella.

The sky was gloomy and overcast, seemingly signaling an even heavier downpour.

Jasmine wrapped her scarf tighter and buried her head deep within it to shield herself from the biting cold.

In the coat pocket was Will Caddel’s handkerchief, which she planned to return if given the opportunity, still clean and immaculate.

The rain hit the umbrella, quickly spreading a misty haze.

Outside, the chill was intense. Jasmine hurried her pace, paying no heed to her hair being tousled by the wind, as she headed toward the subway entrance.
