Chapter 2465: Chapter 2465: He Doesn’t Need to Keep Apologizing to Her

The milk tea shop is not far from ZR Group, just a ten-minute walk.

As it was almost time, Jasmine Yale packed her things into her backpack, opened her umbrella, and stepped into the rain.

The wind was strong and the rain heavy, the cold wind pierced straight into her neck, even wearing a scarf was useless, the chill cutting like a knife.

Jasmine Yale looked up and gazed at the misty rain ahead.

The last time she looked for a job, it was under a scorching sun; this time it was the dead of winter. Thankfully, her baby had been born, making her movements much easier.

The wind was strong, and she struggled to hold her umbrella.

Amidst the misty rain, she could barely see the ZR Group building through the curtain of rain.

With her backpack on, Jasmine Yale walked briskly towards the building.

In this weather, there weren’t many pedestrians on the street.

Jasmine Yale hurried along.

Suddenly, a black Bentley sped by her!

The car splashed a puddle of muddy water!

"Ah." Jasmine quickly dodged, but she was still a step too late.

The hem of her coat, her pants, and her shoes were splattered with black muddy water!

Jasmine quickly looked down, checking the muddy water on her clothes under her umbrella.

How careless of the driver.

Jasmine could only frown and pout in dissatisfaction.

"I’m sorry." A pair of clean, pale hands retrieved a handkerchief from a suit pocket and handed it over.

Jasmine looked up to see a young man who had just stepped out of the car, tall, in a crisp black suit, his tie neatly arranged.

He was followed by a bodyguard holding an umbrella for him.

Jasmine shook her head: "No need, I have tissues myself."

"The driver drove a bit hastily, my apologies, it’s my responsibility." The man spoke very politely.

"It’s fine, I can just wipe it off myself."

The man stuffed the handkerchief into her hand: "I’m truly sorry."

Jasmine felt a bit guilty; her resentment faded away. There was no need for him to keep apologizing to her.

"It’s really okay, really."

"Where are you headed? Why not get in the car, I can give you a lift."

"No need, I’m just going nearby, sir, you must be busy."

"Alright, sorry." The man nodded and turned back to the car.

His subordinate followed closely, the car door closed, and the Bentley quickly drove off.

Jasmine looked down at the clean, male cologne-scented handkerchief in her hand and then helplessly at her own clothes.

She dealt with the muddy water a bit before hurrying towards the ZR Group building.

She was pressed for time too.

There were many people here for the interview, filling the entire waiting room.

Jasmine stood silently in the crowd, took out her files and resume, and focused on them.

The rain outside was still falling, and from the window, the surroundings looked like a foggy haze.

ZR Group was located on a picturesque street, with tall buildings and a pleasant environment. The office building was somewhat Chinese-style, since, as Jasmine had learned, the founder of ZR Group was a Hong Konger.

Hong Kongers are very business-savvy; despite the small size of the place, there are many wealthy businessmen with industries spread worldwide.

The waiting room was crowded and noisy, with many people chatting while waiting for their interviews.

Jasmine chose a spot by the window and quietly focused on her materials.

She was interviewing for a marketing assistant position. Many people were being recruited, and the requirements weren’t too high. It was a performance-based job, and how much one earned depended entirely on their own capabilities.

People went into the interview one by one, and soon it was her turn.

Like all interviews, it involved a self-introduction, answering a few questions from the HR, going through the motions.
