Chapter 2425: Chapter 2425: The Crying of a Newborn
Luckily, the nurse told her it was no longer dangerous, otherwise, she wouldn’t know how to explain to Mr. Cheney.
Nevertheless, the little girl still had to endure ten hours of pain inside.
Thinking of this, Butler Santana’s heart tightened, a feeling of unbearable pain spreading throughout her body, like being pricked by needles. She knew that Jasmine Yale in the delivery room was in a hundred, no, a thousand times more pain than she was.
Butler Santana took out her phone, trying to find Sylvan Cheney’s contact information, but after searching through her phone, she couldn’t find anything related to Sylvan Cheney.
Mr. Cheney was now highly successful, way above her reach.
However, she couldn’t bear to see Jasmine Yale suffering alone.
After thinking for a long time, she couldn’t come up with a solution.
Butler Santana leaned against the wall and had to give up.
Forget it...
Perhaps Jasmine Yale didn’t want her to contact Mr. Cheney either.
Even if he came, he couldn’t alleviate any of Jasmine Yale’s pain.
So, forget it.
All day long, Butler Santana was restless.
Today was New Year’s Day, and even the hospital was bustling. The streets were lined with many flowers and potted plants, as well as beautiful balloons.
The balloons danced in the wind, colorful and full of festive atmosphere, much to the children’s delight.
It was a joyful festival, even Mrs. Kimberley and Mrs. Connor were happily eager to take the babies out to play.
Butler Santana stood alone at the hallway window, silently looking into the distance.
Time ticked away.
The once clear sky gradually darkened, the sun slowly moved from east to west, turning from morning to evening, light shifting, never stopping for a moment.
The sunset was orange, dyeing the white clouds like a fiery cloud, golden light breaking through the clouds and shining on the earth.
The sunset was gentle.
The evening wind was cold, blowing against the windows, making a "whoosh" sound.
"Aunt Santana, you’ve been standing here all day, your body can’t take it. I have some food here, would you like to eat?" Mrs. Connor said as she saw Butler Santana still standing in the same spot.
Butler Santana turned her head: "Thank you, Jasmine hasn’t come out yet, I have no appetite."
"Didn’t the nurse say everything’s okay? No need to worry now! Even Mrs. Kimberley took ten hours, and everything was fine, plus natural birth recovers quickly."
"It’s okay, I’ll keep watching, she should be out by seven or eight tonight."
"Alright then." Mrs. Connor didn’t persuade any further, thinking this lady was too persistent.
Butler Santana was anxious and uneasy, her whole body cold.
No matter who tried to persuade her, it was useless, she only wanted to stay by Jasmine Yale’s side, at least that way she would feel a bit better.
Night fell.
The once lively hospital during the day grew quiet.
New Year’s Day came to an end just like that.
Anxiety, pain, and unbearable feelings all rushed to Butler Santana’s heart. She paced back and forth, helpless.
She sat on a bench, burying her head in her hands.
She didn’t know how much time had passed, it felt as if a century had gone by.
Suddenly, the cries of a baby broke out.
"Waaa waaa..."
Butler Santana was stunned, the baby was born...
A young nurse came out, holding a lively and adorable little one, smiling brightly.
Inside the delivery room, Jasmine Yale was exhausted, drained of energy, her face pale, without the strength to open her eyes or say a word.
Her mind was foggy, with only the sound of the baby’s cries in her ears, her heart finally at ease, her hands still clutching the bedsheet tightly.
Her breathing gradually steadied, and her heartbeat returned to normal.
