Chapter 2424: Chapter 2424: She Can Only Save Either Herself or the Child

"Aunt Santana, it’s fine. My cousin was in labor for three days and nights, and she still gave birth to a healthy and lively son. Don’t worry," Mrs. Connor consoled continuously.

She had a natural birth, recovered quickly, and with her husband’s excellent care, she’s already quite nimble.

"The nurse just said her baby’s position is not right, making it difficult to give birth," Butler Santana’s brow was heavy with worry.

"Even so, with medicine being so advanced nowadays, at worst she can have a cesarean!"

"I don’t understand. Logically, she could have a cesarean, so why hasn’t it happened yet..." Butler Santana was too worried.

"Maybe Mrs. Yale herself doesn’t want a cesarean, or perhaps it’s not suitable for her. There are many reasons, but the doctors will surely find the most appropriate way."

"Is that so." Butler Santana stopped overthinking.

She took a few more sips of warm water, feeling as though a huge stone was pressing on her chest, making it hard to breathe.

Her mind felt tangled like threads, messy, and she didn’t really know what she was thinking, her expression was dazed.

At this moment, Butler Santana’s hands and feet were icy cold, and she felt quite sad.

She even felt a bit scared to wait outside the delivery room, afraid to see Jasmine Yale’s pale face and lifeless eyes.

Why does it have to be like this...

After a long time, she finally walked out of the room.

The corridor was still empty, with no noise.

She rubbed her hands, looking sadly at the delivery room door.

Soon enough, the door opened again!

Butler Santana immediately stood up, looking anxiously at the nurse approaching her: "How is the mother?"

"The mother had a history of miscarriage, compounded by poor blood clotting, and her blood type is also rare. A cesarean could easily cause severe bleeding. After careful consideration, we decided to let the mother deliver naturally; it may take a while," the nurse came to explain.

Butler Santana was so tense that her blood seemed to stop flowing: "What’s her current condition?"

"The mother is currently in a relatively stable condition, don’t worry. It’s nine-thirty in the morning, and we estimate it might take another ten hours."

"That long?!" Butler Santana’s eyes widened, "How can she endure that."

"Rest assured, we will do everything to ensure the mother’s safety," the nurse remarked, "The mother might have been emotionally affected before labor, hence she lacked strength during childbirth. When the baby’s position was corrected, she kept saying that if only one could be saved, she wanted it to be the child."

"Is it that serious?"

"It was quite dangerous around midnight, but we’ve passed that danger now, no need to worry."

"Does she really care more about the child than her life?" Butler Santana thought Jasmine Yale was foolish, thinking she could always conceive again if she lost this child!

"That’s what the mother said, but legally, we can’t allow that. No matter what, we first ensure the mother’s safety," the nurse patiently explained, attempting to reassure her.

"That’s good, that’s good."

"Rest assured, both the mother and the baby are out of danger now."

"Thank you," Butler Santana expressed her gratitude repeatedly.

"No need to thank me, we’re just doing our job, and you don’t have to keep waiting here. If there’s any news, we’ll inform you immediately."

After speaking, the nurse returned to the nurse’s station.

Butler Santana stared blankly at the delivery room door.

This silly girl is indeed too foolish. No matter what, you mustn’t give up your life!

She’s so young, in perfect health, so why worry about not having children in the future?

Jasmine Yale, truly so foolish.
