Chapter 2420: Chapter 2420: If It’s a Natural Delivery, It’ll Be Quick
After nine o’clock in the evening, shortly after Jasmine Yale finished watching the fireworks, she began to feel discomfort in her stomach, her heart pounding wildly.
Butler Santana quickly called for a doctor.
The doctor understood immediately and said to Butler Santana, "The patient is going to give birth, please wait outside the delivery room."
Butler Santana was surprised and caught unprepared; Jasmine Yale was going to have a baby.
But... this... Mr. Cheney still hadn’t arrived.
Jasmine Yale’s face was pale, large beads of sweat dripping down her forehead, she frowned in pain and clenched her teeth.
Butler Santana hurriedly said, "Miss Yale, hang in there, don’t be afraid once you go inside, it’ll be quick, the baby will be born soon, don’t be afraid."
As soon as he finished speaking, Jasmine Yale was wheeled into the delivery room by the nurse.
Butler Santana had no clue that Jasmine Yale would give birth tonight; there had been no signs during the day.
She had never given birth herself; she didn’t quite understand, only knew that giving birth was very painful.
It was Jasmine Yale’s first time having a child, and there was no one around to help, but she believed that Jasmine Yale would surely get through it.
Butler Santana stood outside the delivery room, at a loss, and could only pace back and forth, waiting quietly.
She didn’t have Mr. Cheney’s phone number and had no way to contact him.
She had Yukon Carbon’s phone number, but Jasmine Yale had instructed her not to disturb Mr. Carbon. She agreed.
What about Miss Yale’s father and brother?
They were in Samme Francisco and couldn’t come back in a short time.
Moreover, Miss Yale didn’t have a deep relationship with her father and brother; although there was blood relation, after all, more than twenty years had been missed, and men couldn’t really help much.
Butler Santana kept pacing back and forth.
How could it be that Mr. Cheney wasn’t in Cakago at such a critical time?
What puzzled her was that Jasmine Yale hadn’t called Mr. Cheney after being hospitalized; she said her phone was broken.
Soon, a nurse came out asking Butler Santana to sign.
Butler Santana quickly signed her name.
Fortunately, this hospital wasn’t so strict about requiring family members to sign for the patient.
The hallway was very quiet at night, especially near the delivery room, with few people walking around; Butler Santana could hear her own footsteps clearly.
She paced back and forth, unable to stop moving.
Mrs. Connor came out just in time to see her and comforted her, "If it’s a natural birth, it’ll be quick, there’s no need to worry."
"Isn’t it said that giving birth is like walking through the Gate of Ghosts? I’m still worried," Butler Santana said, her face full of anxiety.
"With modern medicine, it won’t be like that. It’s very cold here; you should wait in the room. It won’t be over anytime soon."
"No, no, in case the doctor needs something from me, I have to be ready."
"Where are Mrs. Yale’s family members? Is it just you here? At a time like this?" Mrs. Connor couldn’t help but ask.
"They are all very busy; after all, the due date hasn’t arrived yet, and no one expected it to be now."
Mrs. Connor knew it was an excuse, but she didn’t expose it, just thought that a patient without company was truly pitiful.
She sighed, "Then I’ll head back first. If you need any help, you can call us; my husband and Mrs. Kimberley’s husband are also here."
"Alright, alright, thank you," Butler Santana nodded.
She looked towards the delivery room.
She had no idea about the situation inside, but childbirth was surely very painful.
Miss Yale was someone who really feared pain and didn’t like going to the hospital, and she didn’t know if she was afraid inside.
But, in circumstances like these, there’s no one who can really help.
