Chapter 2419: Chapter 2419: The Ends of the Earth, No Way Home
The evening before New Year’s Day, even the hospital became bustling and lively.
The new year was approaching, and everything was once again a brand new beginning, as if a completely new starting point. At this moment, one could eagerly look forward to the new year.
Around six or seven in the evening, fireworks began to be set off continuously.
Jasmine Yale stood on the rooftop of the hospital’s high-rise, looking out from the floor-to-ceiling window.
She was looking at the fireworks, but she was even more looking forward to the future.
The fireworks were truly beautiful, bursting in groups, in bunches, colorful, like spring flowers, or like a painting splashed with oil colors, rich and vibrant, dazzling beyond compare.
Jasmine Yale knew that fireworks were a fleeting beauty, but she still liked to watch them.
"Bang," one after another, the fireworks bloomed in the sky, turning the night into day.
Jasmine Yale just stood like that at the window, looking up at the fireworks outside.
"Today is really a good day, there are many fireworks," Butler Santana sighed.
"There should be many shows in theaters tonight!" Jasmine Yale said, "It should be very lively."
Outside the window was a layer of light white mist, the window was clear and clean, and everything was warm.
"There should be."
"I just saw the news, our department is having a New Year’s Eve party too, just tonight. I heard it’s quite lively. But, after all, in six months everyone will be going their separate ways. Unfortunately, I can’t go watch."
Jasmine Yale’s voice was faint, without much regret, as if she was talking about something quite ordinary.
Whether to go or not, it was fine either way.
A while ago, someone had said that in the future, if she went to school, they would accompany her.
He had made so many promises, she couldn’t even remember them all.
Promising was just a matter of moving lips, yet she took them seriously.
"Miss Yale, it’s so high up here, aren’t you uncomfortable? How about we go back?" Butler Santana was a little frightened.
This high-rise, so high up.
"No, the fireworks seen from here are beautiful."
Butler Santana said nothing more, but she always felt that Jasmine Yale seemed to have something on her mind, even her eyes looked lonely.
Having worries before giving birth is not a good sign, it could easily lead to postpartum depression.
Butler Santana was quite worried.
Mr. Cheney was still abroad on a business trip and couldn’t make it back in time.
She could only stay with Jasmine Yale every step of the way.
"Miss Yale, do you want to call Little Chale?"
"Butler Santana, let me use your phone, I’ll send a message to Chaley."
"Sure, sure."
Jasmine Yale entered Chale Cheney’s number and sent a blessing message: Chaley, the new year is coming soon. In the new year, you must be happy every day. Jasy hopes you’ll always be happy.
Butler Santana looked down at Jasmine Yale sending the message, and for some reason, felt a pain in her chest.
It was a sour feeling.
Outside the window, the fireworks were still being set off in succession, fiery and red.
A layer of white mist formed on the window.
Jasmine Yale raised her hand and wrote a few words with her fingers: Happy New Year.
Happy New Year, everyone should be happy.
In the past, when she raised her hand to write, it was his name. She didn’t know when she had stopped writing his name.
To the ends of the earth, there was no way back.
Even so, it was still quite good.
Jasmine Yale grasped the handrail, overlooking the cityscape at night.
There were no dramatic waves, but the lights twinkled, beautifully bustling.
In the distance on the road, the cars flowed like water, horses like dragons, bustling and endless.
In Jasmine Yale’s eyes was a shimmering glow, where the light of the lamps and the fireworks intertwined, sparkling like tiny stars.
