Chapter 2418: Chapter 2418: Sent to the Delivery Room
In the evening, Butler Santana casually accompanied Jasmine Yale as they strolled through the hospital.
Because she had thrown away the phone card, her phone was silent, finally providing some tranquility.
During the night, Mrs. Connor, who had shown no signs of labor, began experiencing abdominal pain and was taken to the delivery room.
Jasmine Yale was sleeping lightly and woke up startled.
Checking the time, she realized it was already past two in the morning.
Mrs. Kimberley also woke up, nervously patting her chest, "We were chatting and laughing just last night, and now she’s going into labor out of the blue; it’s making me nervous. Mrs. Yale, do you think I might be next?"
"It’s good to give birth early; then you can see the baby," Jasmine Yale said with a smile.
"You know? I’m worried to death every day, always thinking, what if I give birth to an ugly one? I’d really want to shove him back in."
"Mrs. Kimberley, you’re so good-looking, and your husband is handsome, so your son will definitely be attractive."
"My husband is staying at a hotel near the hospital. I’m really tempted to call him and ask him to come over; I’m so anxious."
"Don’t be nervous; maybe it will be another two or three days before you give birth."
"Aren’t you nervous? Isn’t this your first baby too?" Mrs. Kimberley noticed Jasmine Yale was quite calm.
"Me? I’m nervous, but it’s something we must go through, so it’s better to stay relaxed."
"You’re much calmer than us. What about your husband? Isn’t he coming back?"
"He’s on a business trip far away and can’t get back in time."
"Oh, well, it’s fine; we’re here for you. If you need anything or are missing something, just let us know." Mrs. Kimberley was very warm-hearted.
"Thank you."
"No need to be polite. Are you unable to sleep too? Why don’t we chat? Maybe soon we’ll hear about Mrs. Connor’s daughter."
Outside, the world was silent and cold, but the room was warm like spring.
The lights were bright, and the room was filled with the soft and fragmented voices of the two women. Occasionally, the wind blew outside, rustling the tree branches, and the sound of foliage swaying could be heard in the quiet night.
A bright moon hung in the sky, its light as clear as day, shining like a ribbon.
The silhouette of the moon was imprinted on the curtains, making time feel as fleeting as flowing water.
Mrs. Connor’s husband arrived quickly and stayed outside the delivery room the whole time.
Jasmine Yale, unable to sleep, would come out for a walk, gently caressing her large belly as she gazed lonely at the long corridors of the hospital.
Sometimes, she would sit by the bedside, holding the baby’s little clothes, eyes calm and serene, often sitting for a long time.
That night, just before dawn, Mrs. Connor’s little daughter was born.
Mrs. Kimberley, probably due to anxiety, began experiencing labor pains by the afternoon and was taken to the delivery room.
Jasmine Yale touched her round belly, wondering when her little one would arrive.
The room suddenly became more lively.
The cries of the newborn were loud, and apart from crying, it was either eating or sleeping, making it hard to soothe.
Mrs. Connor, having a fiery temper, would often get so frustrated she’d put her hands on her hips, threatening to throw the little one out.
But as soon as she saw the little one smiling at her, she would happily hold her close and cradle her with love.
Now with a child, Mrs. Connor hardly had time to chat, and Jasmine Yale would occasionally go to see her baby.
After Mrs. Kimberley’s son was born, the room became even livelier, with more people coming and going.
Butler Santana, fearing Jasmine Yale didn’t like the bustle, several times suggested booking her a private room, but she always refused.
She wasn’t very talkative, but she loved the lively atmosphere and didn’t find it noisy.
