Chapter 2333: Chapter 2333: Wants Her Tonight

Sylvan Cheney helped her into the passenger seat.

Throughout the ride, Jasmine Yale was listless, lacking energy, and not talking much. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶

Sylvan Cheney didn’t quite understand what was going on with her. She had been so cheerful in the morning. Perhaps it was just a pregnant woman’s mood swings, and he didn’t think much of it.

After returning home, Jasmine Yale didn’t want to eat anything.

Sylvan Cheney peeled an apple for her, and only then did she take it.

"Jasmine, I still need to rush to the company for a meeting, so I can’t stay with you. If you need anything, just call me. If you’re feeling down, I can ask Aunt Santana to keep you company." Sylvan Cheney poured her a cup of hot water. "I’ve left lunch for you. If you’re hungry when you wake up, just heat it up."

"Eat before you go," Jasmine Yale said as she looked at him.

"Hmm, I’m not in a hurry," Sylvan Cheney replied, looking at her. "Are you sure you don’t want a bite? You might get hungry."

Jasmine Yale shook her head, still having no appetite, quietly gnawing on the apple.

Sylvan Cheney didn’t press further and had lunch himself.

After eating, he patted her little head, "I wish I could tie you up and take you to work with me."

Jasmine Yale was amused by his words, "I’m not a puppy."

"Not a puppy, huh? Should I show you the teeth marks on my shoulder?" Sylvan Cheney raised an eyebrow.

These past nights when he wanted her, he had been very gentle and careful. Yet, she would still bite him, sometimes on the shoulder, other times on the chest.

"I’m heading back to the company. Take a nap. If you feel bored, you can come to the company to find me."

"I’m not going," she retorted dismissively.

"Don’t be so childish. I know you can’t stand Erin Janus, but doing business isn’t child’s play. You can’t just avoid someone you don’t like; that’s a childish rule and doesn’t apply to adults. When you work later, you must remember this. Even if you don’t like someone, you can’t show it. The workplace isn’t a game."

"Who can’t stand her? Why would I dislike her? Are you saying I’m jealous of her?" Jasmine Yale huffed.

"She’d probably be jealous of you," Sylvan Cheney actually liked seeing her puffed-up expression, "She’s not as pretty as you and not as charming either."

"Do you really think I’m better than her?"

"Idiot," Sylvan Cheney glanced at her.

Jasmine Yale seemed to be in a much better mood, pulling his arm and asking, "Then, in your eyes, what about her is better than me? Tell the truth."

"The truth? The truth is her family background, figure, status, and wealth are all better than yours. But those are the things I value the least because I believe that what she has, I can also provide for you in the future." Sylvan Cheney patted her little head, "So, there’s no need to compare yourself to her."

"But everyone says she’s beautiful, that she’s half-blood, and has great skin."

Sylvan Cheney lifted her chin, "I don’t like half-bloods; I like Jasmine Yale."

Jasmine Yale blushed, flustered by his tone and gaze.

His voice, soft and seductive, tugged at her heartstrings, making her heart flutter.

Looking at her expression, Sylvan Cheney suddenly understood why she had been feeling down.

He planted a kiss on her cheek, "Jasmine Yale, don’t compare yourself to anyone. In my heart, no one compares to you."

"But everybody says men are the most fickle creatures."

"Who says that? Hmm?"

"It’s what they say in TV dramas."

"You just watch those silly dramas all day," Sylvan Cheney coaxed her, "Be good, eat your meal?"
