Chapter 2332: Chapter 2332: Why Did She Suddenly Change Her Mind?

Jasmine Yale always felt that the good atmosphere was ruined.

She had no choice but to order another vanilla milkshake and sit alone by the window, eating.

A little sweet treats can greatly improve one’s mood.

The sunlight peacefully filtered through the window, spilling onto her table. The corner was bright, and she extended her hand, letting the sunlight fall onto her palm.

It was calm outside, with no wind.

The owner of the tea shop was quite the romantic, placing several pots of flowers outside, which looked particularly vibrant in this sudden season.

The group of women had long gone, and Jasmine Yale remained seated, waiting for Sylvan Cheney.

Perhaps due to the warmth, while waiting, she lay down on the table and closed her eyes.

A little sleepy.

Time passed with a "tick-tock."

Jasmine Yale dreamed of her school days, doing homework at home on the weekends, when she liked to sleep on the table whenever she got sleepy.

Her lips moved, and she smacked her tongue.

"How did I fall asleep here?"

When Sylvan Cheney came in, he saw Jasmine Yale lying on the table and frowned, unable to resist taking off his suit jacket.

As soon as he draped the jacket over her, Jasmine Yale woke up.

"You’re here? How did I fall asleep?" she mumbled groggily.

"That’s a question for you. Can you fall asleep anywhere? Hm?"

"Seems like it."

"Didn’t you go to bed early last night? Why are you still so sleepy?" Sylvan Cheney sat down opposite her, giving her a meaningful look.

He hadn’t bothered her last night; she said she was tired, and he took care of her, allowing her to sleep early.

Jasmine Yale took hold of Sylvan Cheney’s jacket and sat facing him: "Pregnant and sleepy, maybe. Do you want to drink anything? I’ll order for you."

"No need, let’s go to a restaurant."

"What restaurant? Is it one I love?"

"It’s one you love," Sylvan Cheney said, "Why do you look so listless? Unhappy? Is the milk tea not tasty?"

He squinted, studying her closely.

Her complexion was alright, but her eyes seemed dazed, as if still waking up or not having slept enough.

People came and went from the shop, but Jasmine Yale remained seated there.

"Suddenly don’t feel like eating, maybe too sleepy. I want to go home and take a nap," Jasmine Yale said, her head bowed, long eyelashes drooping.

"I’ll take you home after you eat. You have to eat. If you think going to a restaurant is too much trouble, I’ll just get you a simple meal," Sylvan Cheney frowned.

"Mr. Cheney, go ahead and quit your job," she said softly, not looking up at Sylvan Cheney.

"What’s wrong? My work is not your concern. I have no intention of resigning, so you don’t need to mention it again," Sylvan Cheney said, his voice unusually calm.

"Okay," Jasmine Yale responded briefly and said no more.

"Come on, sitting alone makes it easy to overthink. I’ll take you for a walk, and you’ll feel less sleepy," Sylvan Cheney suggested.

Jasmine Yale shook her head: "Don’t want to walk, don’t want to eat, want to go home."

"You..." Sylvan Cheney was at a loss, "Fine, I’ll take you home. I’ll grab something to eat on the way, and we’ll eat at home."

Sylvan Cheney couldn’t figure out why she suddenly changed her mind. He didn’t plan to overthink a pregnant woman’s whims, knowing he’d probably guess wrong.

"I don’t want to eat," Jasmine Yale said, propping herself up from the table before turning to leave.

She grabbed her bag and headed for the tea shop’s door.

Sylvan Cheney followed and took her hand.

Jasmine Yale didn’t resist, allowing him to hold her hand.

His car was parked just a few steps away.
