Chapter 483: Lord Demon of Fear
The five Archdemons radiated a pitch-black mana of prodigious density, triggering a seismic shock that brought the surrounding ruins crashing down. The metaphysical pressure became instantly unbearable; several human warriors collapsed to their knees, their lungs seared by the toxicity of pure demonic energy. These were Archdemons, but their stature and the aura they exuded were several times greater than those Sulyvhan had just cut down. Their skins were no longer simple obsidian but seemed forged from abyssal metal that absorbed Loriel’s light, and their eyes, a deep crimson, fixed the Emperor with murderous intent.
Sulyvhan gripped his twin swords, already analyzing the force vectors of these new threats. The blades in his hands vibrated as if eager to bathe in demon blood.
"Emperor Sulyvhan..." Loriel murmured, his usual nonchalance replaced by a sharp vigilance as his sapphire wings hummed with divine intensity. "These ones are different... Do not let yourself be overwhelmed by their numbers."
"Handle those on your flank, Loriel..." Sulyvhan ordered, his voice an icy whisper that cut through the clamor of carnage. "I will deal with the other three... with the brutality they deserve."
Loriel sketched an enigmatic smile, his eyes gleaming with a fascination laced with cruelty. "What arrogance for a mere mortal... go ahead, Alexander Sulyvhan, show me the power of the human that we angels have blessed~"
Without waiting another second, the three lead Archdemons charged Sulyvhan in perfect coordination. The first, armed with a gigantic scythe made of corrupted dragon bone, attempted to sweep the Emperor’s legs. Sulyvhan propelled himself vertically with such force that the ground beneath his feet pulverized into a rain of rubble. Mid-flight, he activated his ability, watching the world freeze in a gray stasis where every ash particle became motionless.
The second Archdemon, endowed with four powerful arms, leaped to intercept Sulyvhan in midair, its claws saturated with black poison seeking to lacerate his torso. The Emperor showed no emotion, his mind calculating the optimal trajectory to maximize damage.

Sulyvhan brought down his white blade with unimaginable violence. A beam of silvery light burst from the steel blessed by the angels. The attack did not merely cleave the air; it severed the monster’s four arms simultaneously before splitting its chest open along its entire length. Demonic blood, boiling and acidic, erupted in a black fountain, vaporizing Sulyvhan’s garments as the monster howled an agony that made the air tremble.
However, the third adversary, the most massive of the group, took advantage of the instant Sulyvhan was descending to land a mace blow charged with gravitational mana. The impact was such that Sulyvhan was hurled to the ground, carving a twenty-meter furrow in the basalt. The scythe-wielding Archdemon landed immediately above him, raising its weapon to decapitate him.
"Die, insignificant insect!" roared the demon in an abyssal dialect.
Sulyvhan, his face bloodied but his gaze still utterly neutral.
< Aura Repulsion >
A spherical, devastating shockwave exploded from his body, violently repelling the two monsters and fragmenting rock within a ten-meter radius. Taking advantage of their imbalance, he rose with fluidity and seized his swords.

Trails of residual aura hung suspended in the air, forming arcs of black light that seemed to devour reality. With a wrist movement of surgical precision, Sulyvhan redirected these currents toward the mace-wielding Archdemon. The phantom blades lacerated the beast’s obsidian cuirass, carving strips of flesh and organs that crashed to the ground in a spongy sound of eviscerated entrails.
"Your strength... is not... human..." stammered the demon, vainly attempting to hold back its intestines as they slid out of its gaping abdomen.
"I never claimed it was," replied Sulyvhan as he approached it, his shadow stretching over the dying monster.
The Emperor seized the horned skull of the Archdemon with his left hand, while his right hand plunged deep into the open wound of its chest. He injected a massive pulse of raw aura directly into the demon’s mana core. The internal pressure became such that the monster’s body began to swell grotesquely before exploding in a detonation of flesh and black magic, spattering Sulyvhan with a fetid mixture of bile and sulfur.
The last of the three Archdemons, the one with the scythe, stepped back, a glimmer of genuine terror igniting in its eyes. It saw Sulyvhan standing amid the remains of its companions, his silver hair now sticky with black blood and his pupils gleaming with a radiance that seemed to promise oblivion.
"You... you are..." murmured the demon, dropping its scythe by pure reflex of submission.
"Exactly, this is how it should be..." murmured Sulyvhan, a mocking, almost imperceptible smile stretching his lips. "You demons are entitled to only one fate: death."
With a sharp motion, he hurled his katana. The blade pierced the demon’s throat with such speed that the head remained balanced on the neck for a full second before slowly sliding off and falling to the ground with a dull thud.
Loriel, who had just finished incinerating his two adversaries, landed gracefully beside Sulyvhan, observing the carnage with an almost childlike curiosity. "What brutality, Alexander~... It seems you took a certain pleasure in it, despite your cold demeanor."
"It was a tactical necessity, Loriel... Fear is the only language they understand," replied Sulyvhan, sheathing his weapons with a metallic click.
He turned his gaze toward Bathym, who had been observing the scene from the skies with contained rage, the blood-red sky seeming to boil above his head.
"So, Prince of Fear..." Sulyvhan called out, his voice carrying to the far reaches of the plain. "Is this all your hell has to offer, or will you finally descend to fight like a true demon lord?"
Bathym let out a howl of rage that tore the sky, exerting such pressure that Sulyvhan and Loriel were forced to release their auras in order to protect the soldiers whose resistance was at its lowest.
"He is coming..." said Loriel as he stared at the sky in the direction of the demon lord.
Reacting with disconcerting speed, Sulyvhan crossed his twin swords before him and, at the same moment, came into contact with a full-force attack from Bathym.
