Chapter 67: Michael Foaming at the Mouth and Passing Out
There was no paper here so Michael directly used his hand to write on the ground. Leo had known these numbers for a while since receiving the inheritance from Eat God so he wasn’t that surprised, but Raphael was completely different.
"You kidding? So the limit of an immobile domain is a radius of one million meters? That’s bigger than the whole territory of the empire... no, even both empires together aren’t that big."
This number exceeded his expectations of the gods’ power. A domain covering the entire continent was definitely impossible, but he didn’t think the maximum range could reach this level.
"That’s when we become gods. Right now we can only use a radius of fifty meters."
Michael was afraid Raphael’s imagination would send him and Leo flying up to the sky so he hurriedly stated the facts.
"Hmph, you think I’m that dumb? If I were as dumb as you think I’d be dead already, not make it all the way out here."
Even though before being chased he and Rias were far from Sun Capital, the distance from that place to Ancient Forest had to cross many kingdoms.
Of course the main reason he could make it to Ancient Forest was that no noble with waterlogged brains would charge into a place where five demigods were fighting.
The other demigods also didn’t like sticking their noses into matters that didn’t concern them since there was no real benefit.
"You already understand, so now me using domain expansion is fine, right?"
As he asked, Michael looked at Leo and Raphael. He wasn’t trying to show off but wanted them to focus as hard as possible to analyze this technique.
The guide was pretty vague anyway. The actual effect should be judged by these combat experts instead.
"No problem."
One person and one panda nodded at the same time. Their eyes stared at Michael like they were afraid of missing any important moment.
"My domain is called Supreme Kitchen. The name might sound stupid but its effect is no joke."
As for this name, it made Michael want to curse because his inherited memory of Cook God’s ability actually wrote it like that. Cook God really wanted to be Cook God for real or something.
Domain expansion – Supreme Kitchen!
A wave of red energy centered on Michael’s body covered the entire radius of fifty meters in just a blink.
It didn’t just spread around but even in the sky or underground, this type of energy couldn’t be stopped. Everything inside the domain at this moment was within Michael’s sight.
"Three hundred seventy, four thousand six hundred fifty, seventy-eight thousand three hundred twenty-three..."
"Huh???"
Raphael and Leo both frowned at the same time, staring at Michael as he kept muttering those weird numbers.
Before they could figure out what was going on, Michael’s eyes rolled back and he fell to the ground foaming at the mouth. Judging by the situation, this looked even worse than when Raphael slapped him unconscious.
The domain naturally disappeared immediately when there was no one controlling and supplying energy to it. To be more precise, the domain vanished the moment it had just expanded.
The numbers Michael muttered before passing out were just the aftereffects of the domain, but they came a little late.
???
What the hell was that? He said this was an ability only gods had. He said this was the most special technique that even demigods couldn’t dream of having.
Why did using it for one second... actually not even one second, make him fall to the ground foaming at the mouth?
All that domain expansion made Leo and Raphael feel was just a fleeting sense of a tiny change in space.
"What the hell is that?"
Since Michael was already unconscious, with this situation, splashing water on him wouldn’t wake him up. Raphael could only ask Leo.
"How the hell should I know?"
Obviously asking Leo at this point was like asking nobody. He had never used a domain himself so of course he didn’t understand.
But with Michael as an example, Leo knew that if he used domain expansion right now, the result probably wouldn’t be any different.
The atmosphere suddenly became so quiet it was a little weird. They were stuck now.
They had planned to study domain expansion more deeply, but somehow in less than a blink Michael had already passed out. Judging by this situation, it was so bad he looked like he was about to become a vegetable.
But he was a god so he probably wouldn’t die or become a vegetable that easily. Plus the gods wouldn’t actually mess around and kill their inheritor right after they awakened... probably.
"So what are you gonna do now? Use domain expansion or wait for Michael to wake up and then use it?"
Whatever the answer was, Raphael wasn’t going to force it because this was way too goddamn extreme.
He didn’t even get to clearly feel the domain before Michael passed out, so Leo probably wouldn’t do any better.
Leo thought it over for a moment. If he chose to use domain expansion, the result probably wouldn’t be any different from Michael’s. But if he was too scared to use it then...
"Use it. I have to use it. This is my ability after all. Since when does an owner fear their own ability? If I’m scared to use my own power, then how do I have to master it?"
Seeing Leo so determined, Raphael had no reason to stop him. Even if things went really bad, he would immediately go find some contractors famous for their healing abilities and ’ask for help’.
"Be as careful as you can. Maybe Michael was just being careless earlier."
He gave a completely meaningless piece of advice that made Leo’s eyelid twitch. Being careful was good, but the important thing was knowing what exactly you were being careful about.
Right now Leo didn’t understand a damn thing, so what was he supposed to be careful about? Was being careful of domain expansion and therefore not using it priority number one?
"Alright. I don’t believe I’ll die from using an ability that belongs to me anyway. This isn’t some ultimate technique that costs your life to use."
