Chapter 68: Deep in the Ancient Forest

Leo took a deep breath and used all the focus he had. Compared to Michael, who had trained for decades, his mind had long been as solid as a rock.

Even though he knew he would end up rolling on the ground foaming at the mouth, he was sure he could last a little longer than Michael.

At least a few minutes, not as fast as Michael. A general who had survived hundreds of battles could not be compared to a genie who did not even know basic martial arts.

"My domain is called Chaotic World. Basically, it can slow down enemy movements by applying force from different directions. I don’t really understand it myself, so let’s just try it first."

Domain expansion – Chaotic World!

A breath mixing white and black spread outward from Leo’s body. In an extremely short moment, similar to Michael, the domain was fully deployed.

Raphael had still held a bit of hope, but seeing the domain appear and then disappear in less than a blink, he could only shake his head in resignation.

"Three hundred twenty-five, three thousand nine hundred seventy-two, seventy-two thousand five hundred eighty..."

Once again, someone muttered a bunch of weird numbers, then rolled their eyes and fell to the ground foaming at the mouth.

Both Michael and Leo were unconscious but still maintained their transformed state. This clearly showed they didn’t pass out because their energy was suddenly drained.

"Hmm, if it’s not energy depletion, then what could it be? Domain... wide range... seeing everything except living beings..."

Raphael closed his eyes, stroking his beard in deep thought. He neatly rearranged everything he knew and started thinking about the cause.

"Also, Leo used to be a general. His mentality must be way more solid than an unreliable god like Michael. But the time both of them fell to the ground unconscious is basically no different at all."

Combining this information with techniques that had a mechanism pretty similar to a domain, Raphael thought of an important factor that caused both of them to pass out.

"Earlier, when they were counting those numbers, was that the number of objects they sensed? If so, then I get it. They passed out because their brains were overloaded with information..."

Thinking that, Raphael frowned. Among all types of damage, brain damage is the most serious. For a contractor, becoming a retard or dying is pretty much the same.

But even so, his faith in god-level talent was still strong. A god couldn’t be taken down by their own ability.

---

Deep in the Ancient Forest, there was a massive lake. The surface of the lake sparkled under the sun so much that you wouldn’t think it was water.

Looking down at the bottom of the lake, you could see gold, silver, and countless treasures someone had gathered and left down there, creating that sparkling effect on the water’s surface.

At the center of that lake, something enormous was curled up. Getting closer, you could see it was a white dragon... Well, it was white, but its scales sparkled like diamonds, unlike those of a normal dragon.

It just lay there silent with its eyes closed. So silent it wasn’t even breathing, but its heartbeat could still be clearly heard.

Strange musical notes made of energy, as if they were someone’s technique, were floating around its body. Clearly, its motionless state here was related to those strange musical notes.

’Hmm, this feeling... One, two, three, four, five... They... No, their heirs have appeared? Huh... What the hell? You two bastards are looking down on me?

How dare you openly let me know the location of your heirs? Damn it, I didn’t want to bother with you two dead ones, but you brought this on yourselves.’

The soul inside that body was completely awake even though the body was motionless. No one knew what she had sensed, but she kept cursing nonstop.

’Heaven, are you there? I want to ditch this old body in exchange for... a bag to hold a lot of stuff and one human body. As for the divine heart, just leave it here for me. That’s fine, right?’

[Dragon God, you’re sure you want to throw away your old body? If the human body dies, it’ll take a very long time to revive. You’ve got a lot of sealing energy. Estimated a few thousand years until you’re free.] 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢

’Hmph, how long have I lived? Tens of millions or hundreds of millions of years? Even waiting a few million years is no problem. But I absolutely have to go "teach a lesson" to the heirs of those two bastards.’

[Fine. Do you want a male or female body?]

’Is there any super special option? Like, beyond both male and female?’

Dragon God was born as a god, so originally had no sex. In fact, all energy monsters have no sex.

As for whether others call you ’she’ or ’he,’ that’s mostly just preference. If you put it that way, Dragon God is more like female than male.

[No. One of the two. That’s all human biological sex has.]

’Hmph, I’m Dragon God, not human. The body is also created from energy, so it’s more like energy monsters than humans. But if there are only two options, then I choose female.

Male looks a little too much like that damn bastard. Plus, the two other damn bastards who tricked me and got me sealed before they became gods are also male. I can’t be like those hateful ones.’

Heaven only cares about the final choice. Heaven doesn’t exist to chat nonsense, so whatever Dragon God wants to say, say it. As long as it’s not Heaven’s responsibility, Heaven won’t respond.

[Random appearance or custom?]

’Of course I’ll custom it. What if random gives me an ugly appearance? Wouldn’t that piss me off?’

Just like that, not long after, the lake suddenly lit up brightly. The massive dragon body was now nowhere to be seen, replaced by a three-year-old human girl with delicate features floating on the lake’s surface.
