Chapter 1832: Chapter 1831 - Secret of the Void

Lind called in far more people to his small Haven. Old friends and more were taken to the area he had recovered his Apprentice Tier layers. A careful examination confirmed the shocking results.

The experts from the Blessed Crimson Range then made a suggestion that surprised him. They wanted an expert from the leviathan or kraken races.

That was easy for him but the person that came was not entirely unexpected.

While relative true time had been far less than his personal experience, it had been over a thousand years after he went into seclusion.

A young woman with distinguished features arrived and he looked hard at his wives. It was the young princess of the krakens!

She was finally in the Journeyman Tier and mature for her race. She did not rush to hug him or show affection. Still, Lind kept it professional.

She could not hide her shock when showed what he had caused. She then became very serious as she looked at the group.

"I need all but Divine Lord Lind Frey to leave this area. I invoke my authority." Lind was totally confused but everyone else seemed to just accept it.

The crowd dispersed, save the grass fan spirit, and then left the Emerald Haven entirely. She looked at the spirit but seemed to understand.

"Divine–" He held up his hand.

"I was there when you were born and I am happy to see how far you have come. While I did not fulfill your wish, I still consider myself your friend. Do you consider me one?" His words seemed to break her calm facade. Her eyes flickered and became the cross shaped kind of her race.

She took a moment and then seemed to relax.

"I was unsure how to approach you. Mother and Father told me that being so clingy as a baby was fine but I needed to grow up after all this time. I, ah, might have imprinted on you because you were a True Lord too." Lind sighed as he had suspected that.

Even though krakens and leviathans were not dragons, his aura could color young beasts to worship him. Ryl had avoided it because of the pack bond.

It was not possible with Ethry because he had been human at the time so he had no worries there.

Kora and Tal were already aware and so their bonds were not affected by his True Lord status either.

Chu was a full grown woman and her power was easily able to avoid such a simple effect. Jur, however, might have been influenced by him due to the desperate life she had lived.

Lind pushed it all aside and simply sat in a lotus position on the ground. She joined him and the small spirit crawled into his lap. She curled up and began to nap! He caressed her head with a smile.

"You know she has changed, right?" He nodded. There was no way such a profound aura had not affected her but she had not been refined further.

"What is this authority as a kraken?" The princess bowed and then explained that things related to the Void Ocean were her purview. He was only more confused but before he could ask, she beat him to it.

"What is the difference between a special realm and a world?" He knew that answer but he paused. His eyes slowly went wide and looked at her. "You were always quick. A special realm is either a natural occurrence of Heaven and Earth or made for a very specific purpose. These Havens do not fall into that category."

Lind swallowed. He grasped what she was saying but it sounded insane.

"When a Divine Realm cultivator grasps certain Mysteries or has an opportunity come upon them, they can trigger the creation of a new world. It will not be a simple mortal realm born from a Heaven Realm Land but at least an Immortal Realm that will birth all the lower worlds." Lind felt weak.

He understood what she was saying! Divine Realm cultivators were horrifyingly powerful. Their memories could recreate actual history. Those that were dead could live again inside an Inheritance or other constructs.

They would be limited but Kora and Tal proved that changing those memories could give the dead a chance to live again!

The restrictions were heavy, but she was telling him that if he continued to heal, he could have no one with him!

"What will happen to me?" She smiled at him.

"The Void Ocean holds everything but only we know the truth. If you truly make the foundation of a new Immortal world, you will not be restricted from being there. Until it is stable, you will in fact be required to stay there." Lind frowned deeply.

That was not good! He needed to heal!

His final layer could not be condensed if he was in an Immortal world!

His frustration was clear but she smiled at him.

"You do not need to worry. Heaven and Earth are fair, remember? The void is your answer. You will be able to access it to reach the Void Ocean and the Divine Lands." He stared at her.

What she said was completely against everything he knew!

"That is why they left. You are on the cusp of the Secret of the Void. We are its custodians and all Divine Realm cultivators are informed of our authority over time." Lind kept staring at her. His question was obvious. She blushed before bowing to him. "You have been very busy and then you discovered a whole new Mystery–"

He rose to his feet instantly.

"YOU WERE THERE! YOUR PARENTS AND THE LEVIATHANS WERE THERE! WHY WAS I KEPT IN THE DARK?!" She leaned away from him before she began to fidget a bit.

"I–I–um–I wanted to tell you after we were married. I made them promise and then, well, we had our talk about reality." The young woman wilted and she seemed much more familiar. He then narrowed his eyes as a thought occurred to him.

"I need a kraken or leviathan to be with me, don’t I?" She quickly nodded!

"When it happens, I will need to help–" He loomed over her.

"You? Just you?" His implication was clear and she shook her head.

"A kraken or leviathan at the Journeyman Tier needs to be here with you. I am the best for you though! I am not just saying that! My Mother did too!" That gave him pause.

"Why?" She calmed down a bit before she looked at him seriously once more.

"You said it yourself. You were there when I was born and helped raise me in my earliest days. I am the most familiar with you as a Divine Realm cultivator." Lind wanted to argue but the combination of the Void Ocean and him truly narrowed down the experts.

"Why not your father?" She smirked at that.

"Men are horrible at this. They have tried and it ends in misery for all involved. He pouted when Mother told him that." The majestic image of the King of the Krakens was fading in his mind.

Yet, he could believe it.

"Why not your Mother, then?" She would be even more familiar with him as he had lived on her island state for a very long time. It was far longer than his time spent with the princess.

Strangely, she blushed deeply.

"You want a married woman to guide your aura?" He tilted his head before a suspicion bloomed in his mind.

"What are you hiding? I will go to your parents right now if necessary." His calm warning did not phase her.

"It is not that bad, but Divine Realm beasts that are mated do not intimately guide the energies of other beasts." Lind froze. His mind quickly flashed through his past and Lanbao actually went to the top of the list! His eyes went wide!

"Um, what, um, what would happen if a beast imposed their energies on another without knowing about that?" She looked up at him in confusion.

"It would depend. If they are not of your race, it is considered a grave issue. You would be considered a degenerate. If it is of your own race, your bloodline decides. A superior bloodline will have the right to impose–" He quickly waved off her words.

He felt like scum! The beasts may not see it that way but he was scum! How many beasts had he run roughshod over and thought it was for their best interests?! It was not more than a few hundred but still!

He felt filthy! His disgust was clear but she misinterpreted his thoughts.

"If they are willing, there is no issue! Your intent matters, Lind! If you are acting out of the kindness of your heart, there is no problem!" Her words slowly sunk in and he looked at her desperately.

"Do not lie to me. If a beast, True Lord or not, imposed their energies on other beasts, no matter the intent, is it a violation?" His question made her understand quickly and she smiled up at him.

"Did they resist? Did they scream in pain? Did they try to end their lives afterwards?" Her questions calmed as he shook his head. Her cool hand felt good on his cheek. "You are a healer. Even beasts know the difference. You help people and you do not treat them as objects. That matters more to us than the other races. You can let that worry go, I promise."

He calmed down about his past. He was still worried but so long as intent mattered, then he should be fine.

"So what is going to happen?" The princess of the krakens became deadly serious at his question.

"Your deviation has caused a lack of control. This Emerald Haven is already primed to become a new Immortal world. Heaven and Earth will transform it as you recover. There is no way to avoid this issue anywhere you go." He swallowed his saliva and grasped that he was about to do something ridiculous again.

"Will I have to leave everyone behind?" She nodded at him.

"Once you start, you will be pulled with it. You cannot leave until the world is fully formed." Lind just wanted to heal so why were things so complicated?! He looked up at the sky and sighed.

He would just deal with it. He began to draw up plans and make more jade slips. It was truly goodbye this time.
