Chapter 1831: Chapter 1830 - Slow

It took Qing almost 50 years before she declared him healthy enough to move about on his own. He was not idle during that time.

Lind carefully cultivated and began to repair his foundation. He had to start over from scratch in one sense but taking into account his existing layers as well at the same time.

While cultivating normally as a Divine Realm could span thousands if not hundreds of thousands of years, progress was still felt. Mystery Deviation, however, was like trying to carefully arrange a pile of fine needles without disturbing any other needle set down.

It could be done, but only with a very delicate and careful approach.

Thus, in 50 years exactly 0 progress had been made. It took him that long just to figure out how much he could do safely! If not for Qing, he could have made it worse!

Finally, after a lot of trial and error, he had locked in what he could do. Even Qing admitted it would take millions of years barring any miracle. Fortunately, the Emerald Haven had many appropriate places to cut that time down in the outer world.

He carefully tested he could still safely traverse the different flows and it was no problem at all.

Others could not follow him so easily so he had to settle things before he settled in for his true healing session. Without his Time Layer working properly, there was no choice.

He should have made artifacts or safe access points but he had never considered such an abysmal state.

Thus, he could only go forward alone. Well, mostly alone. His creations did not seem affected by the change in time flows either. Still, he insisted they meet others and enjoy their time learning about the outside world.

He chose a central area so he had equal access to the elemental Origin Seeds he had set up.

The flow of time there was not as extreme as in his workshop yet it would still allow for hundreds of thousands of years to pass in a little less than one in the outside world.

He had the grass fan with him. She refused to leave his side at all even now!

The other artifacts and weapons followed but he reassured them before assuming a lotus position. He was now in for the long hall.

His dantian, once a vibrant place of brightly glowing 8 layers with emerald veins connecting it all, was a mess. He had looked at it before, of course but a deep dive was dangerous at the beginning.

It had been that fragile!

Now, he carefully probed his Life, Death, and Samsara layers. Of all his layers, they came out the best.

So, he began again. He analyzed his facets, reinforced the layers and interconnected them with his harmony.

It sounded simple but it took nearly a thousand years just to get started! He gently nudged the Mystery energy and his harmony on his Life layer and it finally began to heal. Instead of helping the Death Layer, it nearly made it worse!

He had to balance progress not just with the layer he focused on but the other 2 in the same Tier. He was just glad his Journeyman and Master Tier layers seemed unaffected.

It was likely because the Apprentice Tier was too weak. Yet, he saw how difficult the path forward was.

It was like a shattered vase. In theory, he could put all the pieces back together but the pieces would never be the same. A filler or more material would be needed to make it smooth once more.

In that example, there would be large, medium, and small pieces until much finer ones were left behind. Compared to the pieces he was working with, grains of sand looked like suns.

It was impossible to rush or even simply gather the pieces together. He had to put the right tiny piece in the right spot or it would be worse than bad. It was not a puzzle, he had to figure out where everything went and restore the flow of energy.

It was like being blind, deaf, and underwater all at once! Thankfully, his Talents shined more than they had in some time. His Eyes were not helpful at all, but his Touch was.

Many had that Talent but rarely developed after the Sky Realm. The main reason being that the senses of a Heaven Realm on aura alone could see immense detail of all kinds. Lind, however, never stopped.

It was not simply out of stubbornness, it was because his Touch was the key to adding the other 2 elemental systems to his dantian so long ago. If a cultivator relied solely on aura, all they would detect was the elemental power, Laws, or other facets commonly known to all.

His Heaven Touch, however, had allowed him to confirm his theory about demonic and natural Qi. He was able to feel how demonic Qi was of a similar quality to natural Qi with something used to change it.

That led to the discovery that Fiend Qi was unnatural on an entirely different level but the previous Qi he found in a Ruin, Celestial Qi, was the true form of it.

Many experiments and trials later, he had been able to use his harmony to bridge the impossible divide to incorporate them into his dantian at the Moon Tier.

Now, almost 2 million years later, he was very glad he had continued to nurture the Talent. If he had to rely on his aura alone, it would have failed him in ways he could not even fathom.

His aura was based on his foundation and thus his current state made it unreliable to say the least for such delicate work.

He shut off all his other senses and focused solely on his Mystery Touch. He felt the ragged edges and the fractured energy flows. His harmony was pulsing and soothing the pain slowly.

He started there. He was most familiar with his harmony compared to his Mysteries. He very carefully found the pieces that belonged and put them where they belonged. Everything was done what felt like a nanometer at a time.

Eventually, the Apprentice Tier layers lit up and Lind felt far less pain. He took a breath and opened his eyes. He then looked around confused.

The area he had chosen was a rocky expanse with very few plants thanks to his harvesting, but now it was vibrant with ancient trees, brush, and even herbs. His confusion stemmed from the fact he could still tell how much time had passed.

It had taken him close to 400,000 years and some change to reach his current state.

[Creator?] A small voice spoke up and the grass fan spirit appeared with a smile. Her body was far more solid but still ephemeral. He was about to speak when she leapt over and hugged him hard.

[You should have seen it, Creator! You were glowing and it was of all colors or more maybe? I am not sure. You made it so wonderful here!] Her words made him even more confused.

He had done this?

He carefully stood up and felt his body was not as painful as before. He also gently used his aura to feel the world around him.

She was right! The plant life was not natural! It was from him! He could feel his Qi signature flowing in everything faintly.

What was going on? Repairing a foundation should not have caused that effect!

"Tell me everything." She bobbed her head and began to regale him with stories. Her brothers and sisters came for a long time until Lind’s family came to take them out to visit.

Eventually, they came less and less as there was not much to see. It was only 50,000 years ago that things changed.

Lind had lit up like the sun. A gentle aura flowed off of him in rivers of golden light. It was followed by a scary aura of darkness. Then a silver wave seemed to combine the previous 2.

The 3 combined and transformed the empty stony surface to be full of life. Trees condensed from nothing and they expanded rings of plant life. She said it had felt wonderful!

Lind sat there but while he could grasp how his Apprentice Tier layers could produce such an effect, he was unclear as to why they did now. He was not the first Divine Realm cultivator to suffer deviation and have to repair the damage.

He had never heard of any such side effect before at all. It was not something that could be hidden as he could see it extended beyond the time barrier as well. He had no explanation for that at all!

He then carefully looked inside himself. His dantian was in much better shape overall, which he had expected, but there was something odd.

The tendrils of his harmony were acting in odd ways. He saw that anywhere directly next to them in all layers showed some small signs of recovery!

He touched on his Life, Death, and Samsara layers just to cause them to exude their aura. Instantly, he saw the other tendrils in the other 5 layers react!

He was shocked as everything had changed! He realized he had been too narrow minded. His healing was not just recovery, it was completely integrating his entire path!

While he had failed to condense his 9th layer, it had been attempted. It had blown open the harmonic tendrils between all 9!

Still, it also meant he was in for a much more difficult recovery. If his layers would react outside his body, he would not be able to control it. He had no idea what would happen!

Heaven, Earth, and Qi were likely to have a profound shift on the entire Emerald Haven as his range had been restored. He would need to have help.

He sighed as it meant things were going to become complicated. He patted the small spirit’s head and thanked her. She had done well.

He paused as a thought occurred to him.

"Do you know your name yet?" She shook her head but that was fine. He let the spirits choose their name if it was not emergent. Uno, for instance, chose their name.

He used a communication jade stone and went to meet Qing with whoever was available. It would be interesting to see what happened next.
