Chapter 295: Extracting A New Talent and Passive?

"Explain more clearly." Caelus said with an indifferent gaze.

"It allows me to sense intent from people be it objects or attacks," the player said desperately. "I can perceive hidden intentions that ordinary people cannot detect, that’s how I knew your killing intent was so overwhelming. I can also sense that you don’t have any fear of this battlefield."

Caelus immediately realized the Talent’s usefulness.

Detecting hidden hostility, sensing traps before they triggered, understanding an opponent’s true intentions during negotiations.

The possibilities were endless.

"Sylvia," Caelus called out.

She appeared beside him within seconds, her Blood Sword Construct still dripping with fresh crimson.

"Use your Sinner’s Eyes on him."

Sylvia did just that.

Sylvia’s crimson slit pupils glowed faintly as she activated the ability, her gaze piercing through the restrained player’s soul.

What she saw made her expression turn cold.

"It’s black." she reported. "This one has done terrible things to innocent people, hubby."

Caelus’s expression flickered hearing this.

The player’s face went pale as he realized what was about to happen.

"Wait, you said you would spare—"

Sylvia’s blade moved before he could finish, the strike ending his life instantly.

Her smile returned as she watched the light fade from his eyes.

’One less threat to my hubby.’ she thought with satisfaction.

Seeing this, Caelus immediately activated Endless Extraction.

[Ding!]

[Extraction Successful.]

[You have obtained: Intent Sense (Lower C-Rank)]

A familiar warmth spread through his consciousness as the Talent integrated with his soul.

It had been such a long time since he last properly used Endless Extraction.

The Abyss had provided countless opportunities for extraction, yet he had focused so heavily on survival and growth that he had neglected one of his greatest abilities.

He realized now that he had been wasting potential.

From this moment forward, he intended to make proper use of extraction whenever worthwhile opportunities appeared.

The battlefield still raged around them, but Caelus’s attention was drawn to several new system notifications appearing in his vision.

[Ding!]

[Your Talent is special]

[A new bracket has opened.]

The warmth from Intent Sense settled into Caelus’s consciousness as the system continued releasing notifications.

[Ding!]

[Analyzing newly acquired Talent...]

[Classification complete.]

[A new stats window has opened.]

Caelus’s eyes flickered as a new section appeared within his status interface, the familiar blue window expanding to accommodate something he had never seen before.

[Passives]

[Ender’s Passive (Secret, 1-Star)]

[Intent Sense (Lower C-Rank)]

The two abilities sat neatly within the newly created category, their descriptions glowing faintly as the system provided additional explanation.

[Passive abilities do not occupy active skill slots.]

[You may possess an unlimited number of passive abilities.]

Caelus’s expression shifted from curiosity to genuine excitement as the implications crashed through his mind like a tidal wave.

Unlimited.

Every useful passive he extracted from this moment forward would permanently strengthen him without competing for his precious skill slots.

His three active slots remained reserved for Origin Sever, Holy Sword Surge/Star King’s Sword Vault and Temporal Regression, the abilities he relied upon most heavily during combat.

But passives operated on an entirely different level, functioning constantly without requiring activation or slot allocation.

Intent Sense would always be working in the background, detecting hostility and hidden intentions without him needing to consciously trigger anything.

Before Caelus could think further, his newly acquired Intent Sense suddenly screamed a warning directly into his consciousness.

Danger on Left side.

Killing intent!

He twisted his body without conscious thought, the movement perfectly timed as a sword sliced through the space his neck had occupied a fraction of a second earlier.

A guild player stumbled past him, clearly not expecting his attack to miss by such a wide margin.

Caelus’s elbow crashed into the back of the player’s skull before he could recover, the impact sending him tumbling across the bloody ground.

The brief exchange reminded him exactly where he was.

He pushed the new system information to the back of his mind, there would be plenty of time to study it later.

Right now, the battle was far from over.

The battlefield stretched in every direction, covered with bodies and soaked with blood.

Countless guild members had already fallen to Caelus and Sylvia’s relentless assault, their corpses scattered across the ground like broken dolls.

Yet a large number of enemies still remained, their formation having collapsed into scattered clusters of desperate fighters.

Sylvia continued carving through them with the same grin she had worn since the battle began, her Blood Sword Construct created using Sanguine Genesis leaving trails of crimson light with every swing.

Her vampire instincts reveled in the chaos surrounding her, the scent of fresh blood awakening something primal that made her movements even faster and more precise.

Caelus methodically cut through another group of attackers, his Fighting Spirit and Telekinesis working in perfect harmony as the Ancient Dragon God’s golden form dominated his section of the battlefield.

Neither of them showed any sign of slowing down.

Reign Bloodfang watched the slaughter with an increasingly grim expression, his crimson eyes tracking every movement Caelus and Sylvia made.

Beside him, Garrett Stone’s confidence had completely evaporated, replaced by barely concealed fear as he witnessed his guild members falling one after another.

"This wasn’t supposed to happen," Garrett muttered. "They’re just two people."

Reign said nothing, his mind racing through calculations that grew more unfavorable with every passing second.

Their original strategy had been straightforward: overwhelm Genesis through sheer numbers and crush any resistance before it could organize.

Instead, their members were dying in droves while the two monsters at the center of the battlefield continued fighting as though they had endless stamina.

If Reign himself had fought this intensely for this long, he would already be showing clear signs of exhaustion.

Yet neither Caelus nor Sylvia appeared tired at all.

That realization completely ruined everything they had planned.

"We can’t keep sacrificing our people like this," Reign finally said. "At this rate, we’ll lose half our forces before either of them even slows down."

Garrett’s face paled further. "Then what do we do?"

"We end this ourselves."

Reign began walking toward the center of the battlefield, his aura erupting around him like a crimson flame.
