Chapter 238: Full Capabilities of the Divine Skill Sanguine Genesis! Splitting the EXP
They both jumped into the bed as the domain notification appeared.
"I will contact you once we enter." Sylvia nodded.
They soon descended into the domain.
[Today is the fourth day of the domain.]
[Good Luck, Player.]
His vision transformed as he arrived back at the market. He was right at the place he had left last time.
In front of the Golden Chamber, they were just opening. The assistant from the shop earlier was also there. She was the one who helped him sign up and convert his monster cores to money.
Seeing him, she gave him a small wave. "Friend, do not forget to come back today as well."
Caelus greeted her back with a small nod. Then he turned to his right. Chad was there staring at him in disbelief. He knew why he was doing that.
"I know why you are looking at me like that," Caelus said with a sigh. "But it is complicated. I will tell you once I find the right time."
"You do not need to tell me at all, Caelus. Just promise me that this will not put you in a dangerous situation. You already messed with the Direwolf gang."
"Do not worry," Caelus smiled. "I will be fine."
He was sure of that. He was an Ender, after all. He already had the combat score a normal level 10 would have while only being level 5. That alone was a huge improvement.
"By the way, Chad. I was planning on going hunting with Sylvia. Do you want to come?"
"Actually, no." Chad shook his head. "I got recruited by a team today. I will try my luck there for some time. They are looking for someone like me right now. If I stay with you, I will only be dead weight," Chad added.
Caelus opened his mouth, but before he could say anything, Chad stopped him.
"It is not that I do not want to go with you. I want to make some money too," Chad replied with twitching lips.
"Oh." Caelus chuckled dryly. "Fair enough. Good luck out there."
Chad nodded. He soon left.
Caelus took this time to contact Sylvia and asked her to come to the market since she was in a different town. This was the easiest way to go back into the wilderness together, rather than finding her in another town within the Regional Lord territory.
He had not tapped into the Regional Lord side of the domain yet. For that, he needed to first become the town leader. He planned on systematically dismantling his town once he was strong enough. Only then would he look more into it.
On the way, he also went to check out the Origin Credit gambling den run by the guy named Mason. He lost 100 Origin Credits to him yesterday. Luckily, he had no Origin Credits on him right now, or else he would have begun gambling right away.
He was already there setting up a store. Since that was the case, Caelus decided to strike up a conversation with him. He wanted to get the secret out of this guy and then extract his talent.
Soon, he saw a notification on his interface. Sylvia was here.
"I will come back before the domain closes, Mason." Caelus waved his hand before leaving.
Mason sent him off with a smile. "What a good customer. He even came back to strike up a conversation with me. Hopefully, he does not have an ulterior motive with me."
Sylvia was not too far from him. It did not take long to find her.
"Hello, Miss Sylvia. Are you ready to go back into Misty Wood?"
"Of course, Mister Caelus. I was eagerly waiting for the day you were going to add me to your party." Sylvia giggled as she gave him a soft kiss.
Caelus smiled. This conversation reminded him of Julian from the Abyss. Unfortunately, he was still stuck there.
The Hunt in Misty Wood
Soon, they made their way into Misty Wood. It was time to eliminate some rabbits.
They still had some use because they gave out EXP. Maybe they could make the Furry Slayer title reach level II before they went deeper?
With that goal in mind, they began finding rabbits, or rather, the rabbits found them. A pack had already appeared in front of Caelus and Sylvia.
Screech!
All of them jumped toward them, with energy nets manifesting and flickering in their direction.
Sylvia activated Blood Generation along with her Sanguine Genesis.
Boom!
She bit her wrist, and blood began oozing out of her. Swords formed in the sky and shot toward the energy nets and rabbits. Some swords locked into the energy nets, while the rest shot toward the defenseless rabbits.
Puchi! Puchi! Puchi!
The swords that shot toward the energy nets were a decoy so the rest could pierce the rabbits. One by one, they all fell down.
Notifications rang in his mind.
[Ding! You’ve successfully eliminated a Common Burly Rabbit at level 5.]
[You’ve obtained +7 EXP.]
[You’ve obtained 4% Origin Power.] (x4)
The notifications rang four times as the stats updated.
[Origin Power: 12%]
With the four kills, his and Sylvia’s Origin Power reached 12%. He and Sylvia got 7 EXP when it should be 7.5, but the EXP did not count in decimals. But it was fine; he did not care too much about it.
But the rabbits were not done. More lunged at Sylvia from behind. She had not seen it coming.
Seeing this, Caelus acted. His figure blurred across the ground, a sonic boom erupting. His fists tightly locked as he punched through the air. The sheer wind coming from his hand directly killed the rabbits, who only had a combat score of 10.
This was his power channeled to the maximum. The +1 damage of the Furry Slayer title also helped.
[Ding! You’ve successfully eliminated a Common Burly Rabbit at level 5.]
[You’ve obtained +7 EXP.]
[You’ve obtained 1% Origin Power.] (x3)
[Level 5 (49/1,000)]
Almost three rabbits were broken into bits from the sheer wind force generated by his punch. This was his ascended body.
"Your extraction power is still there, right?" Caelus asked.
