Chapter 237: I Do Not Know How to Sing! A New Home in Long Island City, Multiple Blasts

Before he could finish his words, Chad gave them a flabbergasted look.

"I did not see anything. You guys carry on."

As he said that, he fled the scene.

"Do not mind him. He will be back soon," Caelus said helplessly. "But be kind to him. He is my friend in this world. A friend we can trust."

"Okay." Sylvia nodded, having no problem with that.

Caelus then roughly told her the details of who Freya was and how he found her.

"Ender of Life." Sylvia closely examined the silly kid sitting in front of her. They were the same age, but her small frame made her look like a child.

"Are we going to keep this thing?" Sylvia asked.

"Thing?" Caelus’s lips twitched, and he shook his head. "Of course not. We are going to give her back to the Alisson Colgemorte Group. Or else we are in trouble."

"By the way, Sylvia, do you have a place to live?" He hated to ask, but living in the dorm was no longer viable. Now that he had found Sylvia, he could not sleep without hugging her. He was too poor to afford rent in Long Island City right now. He also had to graduate from this school, so he could not leave Long Island in case of emergencies.

Right now, there were no classes since everyone was officially a player. Everyone was supposed to focus on the domain. Graduation would happen in two months.

Before that, students had to choose a career path, or they would not be able to graduate.

This meant entering a guild or getting a job. Universities were no longer viable and were rather useless when guilds existed. He had not had the chance to dwell on it much. Whatever happened, he had to graduate from here.

"A place to live?"

"Yeah. We can go live with my mom," Sylvia said excitedly.

"Eh." Caelus’s lips twitched hearing this. "But that would be..."

Seeing this, Sylvia’s smile became playful. She noticed why he was hesitating. She leaned closer, her breath hitting his ear as she softly spoke.

"She is usually not at home until the night. We can do it until then. You still have not taken my virginity in this world."

Caelus almost choked on his own saliva hearing her words. He began sweating. Why was his girlfriend so naughty? Was she sexy? Very. Was she beautiful? Yes. Adding those factors together, he would not be able to stay still if she said things like this to him. Since he had an ascended body, his hormones were more regulated, so he could control it. It was one of those untold perks.

He changed the subject.

"But the word on the street is that you have an apartment here."

"That belonged to my sponsor," Sylvia spoke suddenly. "They took it away once I terminated the contract with them."

"What? Why?!" Caelus was stunned.

"I do not know how to sing," Sylvia replied helplessly.

"Oh, right." Caelus did not know whether to laugh or cry.

Right. The setting she had dictated that she could sing, but the Sylvia he knew could at best hum a few lyrics. What was the Origin Network thinking, assigning her a role like this?

"Then, do we really have to go back to your mom’s house?" Caelus was hesitant. He was not shameless enough to do anything at his mother-in-law’s house.

What are you thinking, Caelus? He was baffled that this was his first thought. He sighed, turning to Sylvia. "Do you have any money left?"

Since she terminated the contract, it probably meant she did not have much on her.

"I have $5,000 left in my bank account." Sylvia nodded as she showed him her balance.

Caelus stood there with a sigh. Even after termination, she had a lot of money, did she not? Well, that was enough for a one-bedroom apartment in Long Island City.

"Let’s go out and look for an apartment."

He felt bad that he was using his girlfriend’s money right now, but he had no other choice. He could not magically make money rain down, could he? He would make sure his girlfriend lived a luxurious life soon. He was even more motivated to grind for Origin Credits now.

At that time, the people from the Alisson Colgemorte Group found their way into the dorm. It did not take long for them to find Freya. She was unwilling to go, but Caelus told her to stay put for a few days. For now, she was not in immediate need. Once he made some money, they would go pick up Seraphin Lin. For now, he told her to behave and grind in the domain just like them.

Once that was over, they went to find a small apartment. It was not much, but it was enough for the two of them, and it cost $5,000 per month. They swiftly rented it, and he and Sylvia went to get their belongings from their respective places. Sylvia also contacted her mother, saying she was going to live in a Long Island City apartment for a while. Her mother had no problem with that; she even sent Sylvia another $1,000. Sylvia did not immediately tell her about Caelus. She planned on introducing him tomorrow or the day after.

Once they gathered their things, Caelus used his handy Telekinesis to organize everything with a snap of his fingers. Furniture, clothes, and other items flew around the apartment, finding spots to settle into.

Right now, the apartment was sparse. Aside from a few chairs, a bed they just bought from a nearby furniture store, a table, and a sofa, there was nothing else. It would take a while. But he would slowly fill the place up.

Sylvia also ordered a refrigerator that would arrive soon. They took a quick bath together, with Sylvia coming out licking her lips and winking at Caelus.

Caelus, on the other hand, had a blast inside there...

You could even say multiple blasts.

But now was not the time to think about that.

The domain was finally open.
