Chapter 1130: Chapter 1130:- Training [ii]

Many kilometers away from Axel City, deep within the dense forest, a young man with dark blue hair and piercing blue eyes stood silently atop a gigantic tree that towered more than 100 meters (328 feet) above the forest floor. The gentle wind caused his long hair to sway behind him as his sharp gaze remained fixed on a massive square-shaped rock standing approximately 2 meters (6.6 feet) tall in the distance.

The rock itself was roughly 1,200 meters (3,937 feet) away from his current position.

Resting quietly on top of the stone was a simple steel sword.

Aditya did not move. Instead, he focused entirely on the sword.

His blue eyes narrowed slightly as he extended his Spatial Awareness toward the distant weapon. A second later, the surrounding space around the sword began to ripple and distort, as though an invisible force was twisting reality itself.

The distortion lasted for only an instant. The very next moment, the sword vanished from the top of the rock.

At almost the exact same time, space distorted beside Aditya’s outstretched right hand.

Whoosh!

The sword instantly emerged from the distorted space before dropping perfectly into his waiting hand, as though it had never crossed the enormous distance separating them.

A satisfied smile spread across Aditya’s face as he firmly gripped the hilt.

"Success!"

Aditya looked at the sword in his hand with a satisfied smile. His mind could not help but recall the battle against Victor a few days earlier. Back then, he had used the same Spatial Teleportation ability to instantly move Victor nearly 1,000 meters (3,281 feet) away from the Core Court mountain peak.

Although the technique had worked flawlessly, the cost had been enormous. It consumed a tremendous amount of Mana while placing an overwhelming strain on his brain. For nearly ten seconds afterward, he had been pushed to his absolute limit. During that time, he knew that if he attempted another teleportation, whether it involved moving himself, teleporting another person, or even transporting a simple object across space, he would immediately collapse and lose consciousness.

That experience had made him realise just how underdeveloped his mastery over Spatial Manipulation truly was.

Fortunately, the last few days of relentless training had produced remarkable results.

Not only had Aditya surpassed his previous maximum range of 1,000 meters (3,281 feet), but he could now reliably teleport objects from as far as 1,200 meters (3,937 feet) away. Breaking his previous limit was already a significant achievement, but what pleased him even more was the improvement in efficiency.

The strain on his brain had noticeably decreased.

Using Spatial Teleportation to do anything other than teleporting himself still placed tremendous pressure on his mind. After all, forcibly bending space across such a great distance was never something that came without a cost. However, compared to his battle against Victor, the burden had become much more manageable.

The intense throbbing sensation inside his head was still present, but it was no longer so overwhelming that he felt on the verge of collapsing after a single use. It was clear evidence that his understanding and control over Spatial Manipulation had improved tremendously over the past several days.

"This period of training has been a huge success."

A satisfied smile appeared on Aditya’s face as he looked at the sword in his hand. Considering how limited his time was before the Civil War, he was more than pleased with the progress he had made.

Being able to teleport objects and living beings within a range of 1,200 meters (3,937 feet) was already a tremendous improvement. Whether it was a weapon, an artifact, or even another person, as long as the target remained within that range, Aditya could now manipulate space to instantly transport it either to himself or to another location within the same distance.

However, his personal teleportation ability operated under entirely different principles.

When teleporting himself, Aditya was not restricted by the 1,200-meter (3,937-foot) limit. Instead, his maximum range depended solely on his vision. As long as he could clearly see a location, he could instantly teleport there regardless of the distance.

Even more remarkable was the fact that self-teleportation placed almost no burden on his mind. Whether he teleported several times within a few seconds or continuously used the ability for ten straight minutes, the strain on his brain remained almost negligible.

The difference between transporting himself and transporting other objects or living beings was enormous. Thinking back to when he had first awakened his Spatial abilities, Aditya could not help but smile.

At that time, he had been incapable of teleporting anything except his own body.

Now, after only a week of relentless training, he had progressed to the point where he could effortlessly manipulate space to transport weapons, objects, and even living beings across a distance of 1,200 meters (3,937 feet).

The improvement in his control over Spatial Manipulation was nothing short of extraordinary.

"Now... let’s test a few more things." After successfully improving his Spatial Manipulation, Aditya shifted his focus to another technique that he had been thinking about for quite some time.

It was an idea that had come to him before the attack on Axel City. Unfortunately, everything that happened afterwards left him with neither the time nor the opportunity to properly develop it.

A small sphere of Crimson Flame slowly appeared above his palm.

Normally, whenever Aditya poured more Mana into the Crimson Flame, the sphere would naturally become larger. A larger flame meant a larger explosion and greater area of destruction.

While that was useful against groups of enemies, it was not the best choice when facing a single powerful opponent. Against one powerful enemy, Aditya wanted to concentrate all of the attack’s power into one point instead of spreading it over a large area.

His idea was simple. Instead of allowing the Crimson Flame to grow larger as more Mana was added, he wanted to keep compressing it into a smaller and smaller sphere. The smaller the flame became while containing the same or even greater amount of Mana, the more destructive it would become when it finally exploded.

Aditya was already capable of compressing the Crimson Flame to a certain degree using only Mana Control. However, there was a limit. Every time he added more Mana, the Crimson Flame naturally tried to expand. The more Mana he poured into it, the stronger that outward force became, making it increasingly difficult to keep the sphere compressed.

That was why he wanted to combine it with Gravity Manipulation.

By using gravity, Aditya could constantly apply pressure from every direction, forcing the Crimson Flame to remain compressed while he continued feeding it more Mana. In other words, gravity would help him fight against the flame’s natural tendency to expand, allowing him to pack much more energy into a much smaller space.

But Aditya was not satisfied with just that.

He also wanted the compressed Crimson Flame to spin at an extremely high speed. Not only would the outer layer rotate, but the Mana inside the sphere would also swirl and spiral continuously. His goal was to create a tiny ball of Crimson Flame that was constantly being compressed by gravity while enormous amounts of Mana rotated violently inside it.

If he could successfully combine Mana compression, Gravity Manipulation, and high-speed rotation into a single technique, then its destructive power would far surpass any ordinary Crimson Flame attack he had created before.

Now it was time to see whether his theory would actually work.

Aditya slowly took a deep breath before raising his right hand. A small sphere of Crimson Flame appeared above his palm. At first, it looked no different from the countless Crimson Flame spheres he had created in the past. It quietly floated a few centimetres above his hand while releasing waves of intense heat into the surroundings.

He began with the first step of his plan.

Very slowly, he poured more Mana into the Crimson Flame. As expected, the moment more Mana entered the sphere, the flame naturally tried to grow larger. The sphere steadily expanded as more and more energy flowed into it. This was exactly how every Crimson Flame attack normally behaved.

However, Aditya did not want it to become larger. He immediately activated his Gravity Manipulation.

An invisible force surrounded the Crimson Flame and continuously pushed inward from every direction. The gravity fought against the flame’s natural desire to expand. One force tried to make the sphere bigger, while the other continuously squeezed it smaller. The Crimson Flame immediately began trembling as both forces clashed against one another.

Aditya carefully adjusted the amount of gravity little by little. He could not simply increase the gravity as much as possible. If the pressure became too great, the Crimson Flame would lose its stability and explode. On the other hand, if the gravity became too weak, the flame would quickly expand as more Mana entered it. He needed to find the perfect balance between the two.

Sweat slowly formed on his forehead as he maintained that delicate balance. Nearly thirty seconds passed before the Crimson Flame finally stabilized.

Only then did Aditya begin compressing it even further. The sphere gradually became smaller, but instead of removing Mana from it, he continued pouring even more Mana inside. As a result, more and more power became packed into an increasingly smaller space. The Crimson Flame slowly changed into a darker shade of crimson, while the surrounding air began shaking because of the enormous amount of energy concentrated within such a tiny sphere.

Once he successfully maintained that balance, Aditya moved on to the second part of his plan.

He carefully began rotating the Mana inside the Crimson Flame. At first, the movement was extremely slow. The Mana gently swirled inside the sphere like water moving in a small whirlpool. Aditya did not dare increase the speed too quickly. The sphere was already under tremendous pressure from the compressed Mana and Gravity Manipulation.

Any sudden movement could destroy the balance that had taken him so long to establish. Even so, Little by little, he increased the speed.

The Mana within rotated faster. The Crimson Flame continued to remain compressed. At the same time, Aditya never stopped pouring more Mana into the sphere while constantly adjusting the surrounding gravity.

He now had to perform three difficult tasks simultaneously. He had to continuously supply Mana, maintain the gravity compressing the Crimson Flame, and steadily increase the rotational speed of the Mana inside the sphere. Every part depended on the other two. If one became unstable, the entire technique would immediately collapse.

The process was much harder than Aditya had originally imagined.

Nearly one minute passed.

Then another thirty seconds.

By now, the Crimson Flame had become less than half of its original size, yet the amount of Mana contained within it had increased several times over. The rotation inside the sphere became faster and faster, while the compressed Crimson Flame vibrated slightly under the tremendous pressure.

Seeing everything progressing exactly as he had hoped, Aditya decided to push the technique one final step further. He carefully increased the compressive force of gravity ever so slightly, hoping to make the sphere even smaller.

But that tiny adjustment was enough to destroy the entire balance.

The rotating Mana instantly became chaotic. The compressed Crimson Flame violently shook as the outward force of the flame suddenly overpowered the inward pressure of gravity. The carefully maintained equilibrium collapsed within a fraction of a second.

Realising what had happened, Aditya immediately stopped supplying Mana and desperately tried to stabilise the sphere.

Unfortunately, He reacted a moment too late.

Boom!!

The compressed Crimson Flame instantly exploded apart. Countless strands of crimson fire scattered into the surrounding forest before rapidly fading away into the air.
