Chapter 1129: Chapter 1129:- Training [i]

Knock! Knock!!

"What are you doing?" Rin asked with a gentle smile as she entered Aditya’s bedroom.

The moment she stepped inside, she found him standing in the middle of the room with his eyes closed.

Aditya slowly opened his eyes and looked toward her. "I was testing how much gravity I can increase on my body and for how long I can maintain it."

Rin walked over until she was standing in front of him before letting out a helpless sigh. "You’ve just gone through several exhausting days without properly resting. You’ve been working almost nonstop since the attack on Axel City. Can’t you take just one night to rest properly?"

She had witnessed everything he had endured over the past few days. From planning their retaliation, rescuing the Harrington Family, destroying two cultivation sects, holding meetings with the nobles, and now immediately returning to his cultivation training, Aditya had barely given himself any opportunity to recover.

At this rate, she genuinely feared that even someone as strong as he would eventually collapse from sheer exhaustion.

However, Aditya merely laughed. "Don’t worry."

He smiled reassuringly at her. "I won’t collapse. Don’t forget, I’m a powerful cultivator."

Rin, however, remained unconvinced. She stepped even closer before gently poking his forehead with one finger.

"Still, you should take better care of your body." Her beautiful eyes were filled with worry.

"Just because your body can endure it doesn’t mean you should keep pushing yourself so recklessly." Her tone remained gentle throughout, yet every word carried genuine concern. She wanted him to remember that even the Dragon Monarch deserved to rest once in a while.

"Alright. I will stop for today." Aditya smiled helplessly and gave in without arguing further. In any case, his testing was practically finished. He had already gathered almost all the information he needed regarding the limits of his Gravity Manipulation. Continuing the experiment any longer would not provide him with any meaningful new results.

After dispersing the gravity surrounding his body, he walked over to the bed and slowly sat down on its edge.

Rin followed him without hesitation and gracefully took a seat beside him. The atmosphere inside the room immediately became much more peaceful compared to just a few moments ago.

After resting quietly for a while, Aditya suddenly remembered something.

"Where are Athena and Laura?"

"They’re showering."

Rin answered with a small smile. "This mansion has its own artificial hot spring. Earlier, I also spent quite some time relaxing there after taking a shower."

Hearing that, Aditya looked genuinely surprised. "Really?"

"How come I didn’t know about that?"

Rin could not help but roll her eyes at him. "How would you know?"

A helpless smile appeared on her face.

"You’ve been busy from the moment we arrived. First, you went to train in the forest. Then you attended the banquet. After that, instead of resting like a normal person, you immediately locked yourself in your room to continue training."

She gently nudged his shoulder. "You’ve been so occupied with one thing after another that you barely had time to look around the mansion, let alone discover that it even has a hot spring."

Aditya could only smile awkwardly.

When she put it that way, He realized she was absolutely right. Since arriving at the Harrington Mansion, nearly every minute of his day had been occupied by one responsibility after another, leaving him almost no opportunity to simply relax and familiarise himself with his surroundings.

However, from Aditya’s perspective, there had never been any reason to spend time exploring the mansion in the first place. To him, such things were meaningless.

Every minute he spent wandering around the mansion was a minute that could have been used to improve himself. Right now, time was more valuable than ever.

The civil war could begin at any moment, and he could not afford to become complacent simply because the past few operations had ended in success. There were still countless powerful enemies waiting for him, including Emperor Ren, the National Treasures, and the mysterious Tomb of Black Tomb. Compared to those threats, learning the layout of a mansion was insignificant.

Aditya needed to deepen his understanding of his abilities, especially his control over gravity. At the same time, he wanted to develop new techniques and further refine the ones he had already created. Every improvement, no matter how small, could become the deciding factor between victory and defeat on the battlefield.

Moreover, this mansion was only a temporary residence.

The Harrington Family’s original mansion was already being rebuilt, and according to the latest reports, the construction would be completed within the next seven to ten days. Once it was finished, everyone would naturally move back there.

Knowing that, Aditya felt even less motivation to familiarise himself with this place. Why spend time learning the layout of a mansion that they would soon leave behind? To him, there were simply far more important things worthy of his attention.

"I should take a soak in the hot spring."

"Yes, you should."

Rin nodded with an encouraging smile.

"Grandpa Boris spent almost two hours there this afternoon. He absolutely loves it."

A small laugh escaped her lips as she remembered the scene.

"He even ordered wine to be brought over while he was soaking in the hot spring." For someone as old as him, this is one of life’s greatest pleasures. Boris could probably spend half the day relaxing there without getting bored.

When he was the Emperor, if there was a popular hot spring spot around the Celestial Dragon Empire, then that place would receive a visit from the Emperor.

Just as Aditya was about to stand up, Rin suddenly reached out and gently grabbed his sleeve.

"Don’t go just yet." Her voice became noticeably softer, carrying a slightly coquettish tone.

"Stay with me for a little while. I want to spend some time alone with you." Seeing the adorable expression on her face, Aditya’s smile widened. Without saying another word, he wrapped one arm around her shoulders and gently pulled her closer until she was resting comfortably against him.

Rin naturally leaned into his embrace, a content smile appearing on her beautiful face. The two of them slowly lay back on the bed together, saying nothing.

After everything that had happened over the past several days, neither of them felt the need to fill the silence with conversation. Simply remaining in each other’s company was more than enough.

For the first time in several days, they simply enjoyed a rare moment of peace together, quietly embracing one another and appreciating the comforting silence that neither of them wished to disturb.

Scene Change_____

Over the next few days, Aditya spent almost all of his time deep inside the forest rather than at the Harrington Mansion. To everyone else, he explained that he had gained a sudden enlightenment during his recent battles and wished to seize that opportunity by dedicating himself entirely to cultivation and training.

At the same time, he made one thing clear to everyone. Unless something of great importance occurred, no one was to disturb him. The upcoming civil war was approaching rapidly, and every moment he could devote to becoming stronger was invaluable.

The only time Aditya returned to the mansion was during dinner, several hours after darkness had fallen over the land. Even then, he returned for only one reason. His family and the women he loved were waiting for him there. No matter how busy he became or how urgent his training was, he still made time to share at least one meal with them every day. Those quiet moments together allowed him to temporarily put aside the burden of being the future Emperor and simply enjoy the company of the people closest to him.

Throughout those few days, Aditya completely shifted his focus away from increasing his cultivation. Instead, every ounce of his effort was poured into mastering the abilities he already possessed. He repeatedly refined his existing techniques, searching for even the slightest imperfections while improving their efficiency, precision, and destructive power. At the same time, he constantly experimented with new ideas, attempting to develop entirely new techniques that would make him even deadlier in battle.

As for his cultivation, he did not pay it any attention at all.

Unlike ordinary cultivators, Aditya did not need to spend months or years accumulating Mana to slowly break through into the next Realm. With the help of the System, he could advance into a higher Order of cultivation whenever he chose.

Because of that, he believed that improving his combat ability was a far better investment than simply raising his cultivation Realm. After all, a cultivator with superior techniques and mastery could often defeat someone whose cultivation was slightly higher but who lacked true battle experience.

For Aditya, strength was never determined by cultivation alone.

It was determined by how effectively one could use the power they already possessed.
