Chapter 476: Chapter 476: Say I Love You From This Moment On (76)

"A gesture? What kind of gesture?" Tristan Grayson was a little lost, not understanding why she was angry.

’We already have a child. To be blunt, all that’s missing is a marriage certificate. So, what more of a gesture does she need?’

Suddenly, a flash of inspiration struck Tristan Grayson. He grinned slyly and said, "Honey, since you... want... me... to make... a gesture... then I’ll give you a... *proper*... gesture... right now. I... guarantee... you’ll... be... satisfied..."

Fuming, Mika Summers kicked Tristan Grayson away. "You jerk, get off me!" ’The gesture I was talking about wasn’t *that* kind of gesture!’

’This jerk. Does he really not get it, or is he just pretending?’

Mika Summers was about to be driven crazy by Tristan Grayson.

...

「The next day.」

Mika Summers didn’t open her eyes until it was already high noon.

She glanced at the time on her phone, and her expression turned thunderous. She tossed the phone aside. "Tristan Grayson, you big jerk! You want me to go get a marriage license with you? In your dreams!"

Great. Now she was hopelessly late.

She scrambled out of bed, pulling on her clothes as she rushed toward the bathroom.

By the time she had washed her face, brushed her teeth, and left the bedroom, she could hear voices coming from downstairs.

She walked to the railing in frustration and looked down at the man sitting on the living room sofa. "Tristan, how could you not wake me up!" she called out, displeased. ’Doesn’t he know I have to go to work? He just let me sleep until noon. He’s so infuriating.’

"You were sleeping so soundly, I couldn’t bear to wake you," Tristan Grayson said with a smile.

"How could you?"

"Alright, don’t be mad. I already called Silas Kent. You can take the day off today. Besides, these two little ones need you to look after them." As he spoke, Tristan Grayson held up his phone, signaling for Mika Summers not to worry.

With a sullen expression, Mika Summers descended the stairs and sat down beside Tristan Grayson.

Her eyes fell on the two little ones in the room, and a hint of sadness crept into her gaze...

Tristan Grayson wrapped an arm around her, pulling her into his embrace. He asked with a soft smile, "Honey, do you think Rory is cute?"

"She’s adorable," Mika Summers replied without a second thought, leaning against his chest.

"And do you like Rory?"

"I do."

Tristan Grayson continued in that same soft voice, "Then what do you think... about us having a daughter just like her?"

At his words, Mika Summers abruptly sat up, pulling away from his embrace. "What do you mean?" she asked, surprised. "Are you saying you want to adopt Rory? Tristan, she’s my brother’s daughter!"

Tristan Grayson reached out and pulled her back into his arms. "Calm down, calm down!" he said in a low voice. "I don’t want to adopt Rory. I just want... to have a daughter with you!"

"Have a daughter?" Mika Summers repeated, stunned.

"Mhm. Kiki is pretty lonely all by himself. Wouldn’t it be great if we could give him a little brother or sister to play with?" ’Of course, Tristan Grayson had a more selfish motive that he didn’t dare voice. Mika Summers still hadn’t agreed to get a marriage license with him. Even though they were supposed to get engaged next month and married by the end of it, he couldn’t help but worry. Her attitude had done a complete one-eighty recently. What if she changed her mind before the engagement? Where would he even go to cry about it? After thinking it over and over, he decided the only foolproof method was to have more children! That would tie her to him for good!’
