Chapter 200: Outcast
"Red Queen orders, the goddess squad had agreed with her too. No immortal will accept you as a guest or a member any longer."
The first thing that Ray woke up to after seeing was a serious Evelyn towering on his bed.
Evelyn continued with a paper in her hand, "You must leave this base in one hour for the crime of putting the life of Cindi, the engineer of Mars, in danger; you have been tarnished."
It took a few seconds for Ray to digest the information that the queen had set him up to get rid of him.
"Can I buy stuff from you?"
"No."
"Tell Cindi to take care of herself, and you too." Ray rose from the bed; there was no point staying in the base. She was not giving him the crystal farm either.
Evelyn yelled at him, "That’s it? You are being punished for a crime you didn’t do."
"The one who has the most power can decide rules."
He had no belongings in the room, so he just teleported straight to the hurricane. He cursed the woman, but there was nothing that he could do about it.
His eyes observed any point in his territory; idrils didn’t come to his side since he had slaughtered all the red wolves, and their leader was going to be a little harder to kill.
Checking his inventory, he had near 25 million dark crystals.
"How the hell can I make a crafting station out of nothing?" With an indifferent face, he started to work.
To the north and east was another entrance, both unclaimed by humans; each squad needed only one entrance so they didn’t waste energy to hunt down their guardians.
And so Ray’s new page of life began; half of the day he trained his soul and blood magic, trying to find a new work that could help him, while the rest was spent hunting down Idrils for food and cleaning up the area between the three entrances.
Eating idrils each day, slowly his body got immune to their poison. Their meat was the worst thing that Ray had taken in his life, but he needed to eat as an immortal.
He had no time to spare for thinking about how other immortals were doing; three months for immortals that spent their days fucking around passed like an instant, but for Ray each day was a nightmare.
Yet in the hardship of nature, his heart was shaping to be a sword on the red planet. After just two months, he could use soul attacks as easily as his magic. Hunting idrils became harder and harder since he didn’t know how many he had killed, but their leader had not shown itself.
His dark crystals had reached 80 million; in the area that he wanted to set up his plan, harmless creatures like goats, like on Earth, existed. Even though they were on an immortal level, Ray’s blade knew no mercy.
By month three, he could utilize his gazing ability to the maximum by using it with his artificial eyes.
On top of a hill, standing on top of a mountain of corpses, Ray awaited for the flood to begin.
"Idrils are near the center for the past for some time too; they want a feast too..."
He had made a perfect trap with the corpses of anything he had found; he wanted to gather all the creatures that ran from the second layer in one place.
An earthquake shook the surface of the red planet. At once the scenery all around him turned dark; from both ground and sky, creatures rushed toward him.
A wicked smile appeared on his lips; he didn’t care about how they looked. He put a crimson star at the center of the mountain and flew to the sky.
None of them went after him; there was way more free food on the ground.
From a safe distance, he saw the first in the line eating at the base of the mountain; he waited for more to reach it. In a blink, he couldn’t see the crimson star anymore.
"Let your chains be broken." Ray commanded the scythe he had crafted himself; he could dismantle it if he wanted.
The world turned purple as nova magic inside the weapon broke free, vaporizing on its path.
Most of the monsters couldn’t understand what had happened before they vanished away.
"Have a feast for yourself in exchange for my hand." Ray had thought about how to increase his devil magic, and the simplest way was to feed it. Its true owner enjoyed eating others, so the magic inside him had to take pleasure in it too.
Delighted with the sea of soul beneath them, an orb of dark magic came out of his chest. The darkness took the form of a mouth with shining white teeth.
All the souls in the area started to be pulled inside the mouth.
You have slain 523186 lipos ants.
Level: 10
Reward: fifty million dark crystals
To gain that much, he had sacrificed his biggest strength, Crimson Star.
The mouth returned to him; Ray could sense its power had nearly doubled. Its teeth first cut off the mechanical hand, then turned into a dark liquid, taking the form of his lost hand.
Ray clenched the new hand; dark veins were visible on all sides of it. However, now he could use much more devil magic.
Only one last step remained.
Crimson Star was an amazing weapon; it had saved him on many occasions; however, it never matched Ray’s style. Even after that long time, it just was a weapon that could unleash a powerful burst.
Ray wanted something better, stronger! A weapon that fills the gaps in his weaknesses.
"This is going to get elves really angry!"
A small connection had always been in the depths of his heart, something galaxies far away from him; it had another owner, yet both of them still had their connection vividly.
"Orcus, your true owner calls you."
