Chapter 188: Hurricane of poisen
Creatures were lurking in the ground and air, Ray could sense all around him, living things that wanted to hunt him down, yet he had no eyesight.
Walking inside the hurricane for an hour, at first Ray thought that the iron dust made it red, but after an hour the first symptoms started: a poison that weakened his mind and burned his skin.
With his blood magic, no poison could affect his body, but his mind was still vulnerable.
Ray’s steps became heavier; after an hour of walking, he fell to his knees. Based on the map in the phone that he met, if he wanted to talk to the center of the hurricane, it would have taken a whole week, and with just the borders filled with so many enemies, one wondered who reigned over the small biome.
Something charged toward him from behind; it had no footsteps, like it didn’t exist.
All it saw before it sliced in half was a purple blade and a human with a smile on his face.
You have slain a red wolf.
Level: 9
Rewards: 1000 dark crystals
A vicious smile grew on his lips, "I get crystal for killing these things..." With his mind being in touch with fear and hunger, the poison had near no effect on his mind.
Three more came from all sides; before they could reach him, red claws tore them into pieces.
Counting the numbers, there were around 500 wolves around him. His wings grew out of his back with star crimson shining in the red mist.
In hope of taking revenge, all wolves charged toward him.
His eyes got to work; his clones cut through their throats like thin paper, with Ray himself using the dragon claw constantly to kill the ones that were getting closer.
From the sky, something attacked Ray. Dodging the small projectiles, he saw them on the ground: green feathers that were in the sky.
"Why is everything so quiet?" With a dozen birds in the sky and so many howls dying, still no sound was made since he had entered the hurricane.
Another rain of feathers rained down on him; Ray didn’t waste energy to make a spin; a simple shield would have done the job.
In a blink he was proven wrong as feathers passed through his shield and penetrated his body.
"Paralyzing poison..." Ray quickly moved to another place; his magic would have taken some time to delete the poison, so he just cut his own flesh before the poison could enter his blood system.
Acting again, Ray stopped all of his attacks. With wide open eyes, he watched the vivid motion of the wet mist.
His trap worked again as a human-sized insect with green feathers flew toward him.
A burst of nova magic came out of the crimson star, vaporizing the creature on its path plus some parts of the red mist.
You have slain an Idril.
Level: 12
Rewards: 1000000 dark crystals, feather of Idril
Seeing the number, Ray was shocked. "One million dark crystals just for that..." That could have changed many things going forward.
"This mist is even suffocating nova magic..." Whispering to himself, he returned to his hunting. Already half of the wolves were dead, but the creatures in the sky were a problem.
Sending out blood needles, five of them hit an Idril in the sky, yet it had no effect on the creature. "Just as I thought, my magic can’t hurt it..."
A claw pierced his face. Ray was lucky enough to sense the attack; a red wolf as big as a house stood in front of him. Before Ray could do anything, it teleported back into the mist.
The feathers from above didn’t let him catch a breath as the idrils attacked too.
All the weaker wolves left the fight to unravel between the rest of them, with three big wolves teleporting around Ray.
Dodging two claws, one of their tails got his arm; a blood blade severed the hand. The hand surrounded by the red rail slowly turned into dust.
"This guy has poison too..."
A wolf teleported in the sky to jump on him. A dark claw aimed for there already; as the wolf landed on the ground, it already had no head.
You have slain a red wolf.
Level: 11
Rewards: 500000 dark crystals
"Those insects are not showing their true powers..."
Surrounding Crimson Star with devil magic, Ray cut through the head of another wolf. The remaining teleported back, keeping its eye on Ray.
Sensing slashes on their way, it easily dodged each one until Ray ran out of devil magic.
The number of idrils in the sky increased too, with them reaching thirty. All of them launched their attacks at the same time; to Ray’s surprise, they attacked the wolf first.
It tried to run, but with so many feathers that changed the color of the mist, soon all that remained out of it was a corpse covered with green feathers.
"These fuckers think that thing is stronger than me!" With their levels higher, Ray had to find a weakness; he had already run out of his stronger attacks.
Ray flew higher, with a spinning shield around him, pouring more magic into the shield; it withstood 100 feathers before breaking apart.
Six green objects came to him at an inhuman speed, leaving a green trail behind them. Seeing the gas was enough for Ray, he escaped toward the base. Breathing that gas meant death.
"If this were on a human intelligence level, I would be dead by now..." Ray threw the first one at the green birds; it dodged the spinning scythe by an inch. A blood clone took the scythe in the air and cut the creature in two.
Seeing death, another of their kind, they became more enraged.
"I need to kill all of these things..." The shortcut that he wanted was there way sooner than he expected.
"Fuck..." Twenty large red words were by the side of the border, waiting for them.
