The new ability had only one function: it let Ray gaze upon something as long as he could sense it, no matter how far away they were.
Expect the new ability; nothing else had changed in his system, but Ray could feel the change in his magic’s base form. "The first level should be just the change itself; compared to before, my actual strength is doubled..."
Evelyn and Cindi stood above his head while Freya stood behind them.
"You finally did it..." Cindi said with a wide smile of her lips.
Seeing them, Ray understood the words of fear and hunger, "Cindi, Mars has a third layer..."
"What? "It’s not possible; the second layer is close to the core already, a th—" She bit her finger. "Unless..."
Evelyn was as surprised. "That devil told you that?"
The person behind them jumped between them, "Interesting information, blood angel, congregation. I will see you on Mars." A bony hand took her out of the bare planet; all of Mars was going to change with the new information.
Seeing the worry on Ray’s face, Evelyn comforted him, "Don’t worry; even after so long we’ve just taken 20 percent of the first layer; even she can’t venture into the second layer."
"Evelyn, we should head back; tell everyone we should have an emergency meeting." Cindi’s eyes fell on Mars in the distance.
"You coming with us?" Evelyn asked the man on the ground; he was clearly under pressure in more than one way.
"No, I will find you there." Ray wanted to go to Mars himself; where was the fun in just teleporting?
The other two teleported out too.
Ray lay on the ground; the sun was way larger than what it seemed compared to it. A long-lost satisfaction flourished in his heart; after a road filled with hardship, he had reached the place he wanted to be.
"I actually did it..."
He had no belongings except his robe, a free man going on a new journey for his life.
Suddenly something gazed upon him; Ray could say that the source was galaxies away from him. The same person that gave him his golden eye gazed at him.
"You know, I’m going to sell this to elves."
A picture came to his mind, a dead planet; even the ground seemed death with cracks as far as Ray could see.
"He’s eating out planets while I’m happy killing a fraud..." Ray thought to himself. He shook his head, comparing killed his joy.
"What do you want?"
The sound of the parasite reached his ear, "You are on my list."
"Why don’t you come and take revenge for your planet?"
"Those elves will be dealt with very soon; after them it’s your turn.
Ray smirked, "I will wait."
The parasite took back his gaze, and Ray took a sigh out of relief. The parasite was progressing way faster then; fortunately for Ray, elves worked like a shield for him.
He had many plans for the future; the first was setting up a proper harem. All the immortals that he had seen by now were complaining about how few good men there were on Mars.
Ray still had members of the Goddess Squas except Aria in his harem; both Jade and Marian were kicked out. "After becoming an immortal, my harem capacity didn’t increase..."
Another thing that he had forgotten came to his mind: "Where the fuck is Famine?" She had not answered any of his calls in months. "What if fear and hunger ate her?"
Seeing the creature in its true form, killing a devil had no work for it.
Ray stood up; he had decided to fly to Mars on his own.
"Mars is barely conquered; the first layer even has so many unknowns in it. The second layer is by far behind humans’ reach. If I want to set my foot strong, I need to go to the places that no one dares to."
Checking the number again, he laughed, "45 million dark crystals just for the next level; levels behind this were just a joke."
"That woman Evelyn should be the easiest to persuade; after that Scarlet would be the best option. Having them both as my wives could maintain my peace with both sides." Her body was too perfect for Ray to pass; with each of her steps, her hips moved up and down.
Remembering his childhood, he always read fantasy stories about the main character going to Mars and dominating the unknown planet. All of them had one thing in common: their main characters were good people hoping to make the world a better place, or just for others.
Yet at that moment, Ray’s only intention was to satisfy himself and his hunger for power and exploring the world. The dangers were going to be there on his way too, yet he would have done anything to defeat those who came after his life.
"I was born too early to explore earth, but just the right time to explore space!" From childhood his mother told him that if they lived in another era, she would take him on an adventure.
His wings grew out of his waist once more, and his hair reached his waist too; with the almost torn robe, he flew to the sky.
"I’m on a mission to Mars."
