Chapter 257: Chapter 257: Level 7
The ground shook and a palace of stone rose from the ground, the palace was glistening with a silver glow.
A few minutes later, a massive palace standing hundreds of metres tall stood before the pack.
It looked as if it was made of crystal and releasing a soft silver glow that lit up Its immediate surroundings.
The entire pack looked amazed by this, they had not expected him to do something like this.
But Adrian wasn’t done. A small three ringed wheel appeared on his hand and he gently threw it up.
The wheel floated to the sky and disappeared beyond the clouds. Then in front of their eyes it expanded.
In a blink of an eye the wheel to grew to a massive size, the outer ring stood at a diameter of 500 kilometres.
This was the largest Adrian can make it for now but as he grew stronger, so will it. The werewolves watched with glowing eyes.
A soft moon light fell from the orb floating at the centre of the wheel, when it touched them they started growling.
The moonlight was taken directly from the moon, it was as pure as the lunar esper of a full moon.
Adrian realised this and blocked the light from coming down only allowing a trickle of it.
Enough to make the werewolves stronger but not enough to make them lose control. After that was done he sat down.
Creating this palace had drained a lot of his esper, not because of its size, he can make things much larger than this.
But because of its nature, a large amount of esper was poured into it making the palace extremely durable.
A normal level 7 Gadra would not be able to break through them, it would take one with power equal to a marquis at the very least.
That was the equivalent of a werewolf Delta and even then, it would take some effort for them to break through.
Annie watched this with a smile, then her domain subconsciously spread out, at this moment she felt calm.
Seeing Adrian’s back, she felt as if all her worries disappeared, that if the sky, he would be there to hold in.
Unbeknownst to her, her mind reached a state of tranquility only a few had ever experienced in history.
Those around her, members of the pack found themselves trapped in an illusion they couldn’t escape.
However this illusion was incredibly powerful, to the point everything felt real to their senses.
They also had the feeling, being hurt here would mean being hurt in the real world as well.
Fortunately the illusion was not a dangerous one but merely a field of flowers with butterflies and small birds.
This represented her state at the moment, if any level 8 or demigod were here, they would’ve been greatly surprised.
What Annie had just done was infuse her image into her domain, this was something done by those at level 8.
It was the first step of creating a semi divine realm, to achieve this at level 6 was unheard of.
Even the few existing archduke rank beings were only able to do it at level 7. Annie gained a new level of control over her esper.
Her domain expanded but above that, the ambient esper was fully replaced by hers, those within her domain felt their esper being drained out of their bodies.
This was a sign she had reached level 7, at level 5, one forms a domain and replace ambient esper with their own.
However this was not an absolute truth, instead of replacing, it was more accurate to say they mix their esper with ambient esper.
At level 6, their own esper dominates but ambient esper is still there in small quantities.
This meant others can still use abilities within your domain but they’ll be severely weakened.
The defining factor of level 6 is that, the domain create a thin wall of esper trapping the opposite within.
The wall is not that hard to break out of but that split second is enough for the domain wielder to act.
When one reaches level 7, things become completely different, the wall becomes thick and hard like a true barrier.
Breaking out of this wall becomes much harder but most of all, most of the ambient esper is replaced by yours barely leaving anything.
Using abilities becomes almost impossible since they would just dissipate into thin air. To use abilities you’d need to be stronger than the domain caster.
Even physical enhancement abilities who were less restricted in level 5 and 6 domains because the esper still operated within the body face oppression in level 7 domains.
The advantage of physical enhancement fighters disappears completely against a level 7 domain.
Even the esper inside your body is no longer within your control, it’s automatically drawn into the atmosphere by the domain leaving you bare.
The werewolves were currently feeling that, all of them except Adrian because Adrian had already achieved this.
When he reached level 6, he completely replaced the ambient esper with his own not leaving a single strain of ambient esper.
Even so, Annie’s domain was much stronger than normal domains. Usually, esper from the body can only be drawn out when one is using it.
However her domain can drain your esper simply for being inside it. Annie suddenly opened her eyes.
The domain disappeared and retracted within her. She had reached level 7, the first werewolf to ever do so.
Adrian wasn’t far behind either, he just needed a few esper hearts and he would break through.
They congratulated Annie then went inside the new palace Adrian had created. The palace had metallic tiles on the floor.
The first room looked like a ball room with two staircases spiralling up from opposite sides leading to the second floor.
On the roof hanged a chandelier glowing with beautiful silver light like little moons, the palace looked like something from a fairytale book.
Annie looked exited, she hugged Adrian’s arm and looked around the entire palace with a joyful smile.
That’s because Adrian had modelled the palace after a to house she had when she was a kid.
They used to play with it, of course the palace was more luxurious, instead of the pale pink of the doll house.
It was silver and shining like magical crystals. They explored the entire palace then came back to the living room.
" Alright, I guess it’s time for business, one, it’s time we revive the guild and we might need to call in the favours we’re owed.
Two, I need esper hearts, I’m not far from reaching level 7, I just need a few esper hearts."
When he mentioned the second part, the room got awkward.
