Chapter 242: Chapter 242: All Mine
"What’s wrong?" Her mother asked in a worried voice, they’ve grown to understand her senses.
Annie had a premonition kind of ability, it was related to her mental type abilities which they inherited as members of her lineage.
However none of them inherited this one, it allowed her to perceive danger beforehand and she’s used it in the past 60 years to avoid the organisation and the high council.
During the past six decades, they’ve had to move multiple times, Athanathi and Anathi had to abandon their friends.
Of course they weren’t complaining, most of those friends are either dead or very old by now.
Annie turned towards them, " I don’t know but I can feel a shift in the air, something huge is coming."
-----------------------------------
Currently in the human world, a man in a suit sat in front of a bank vault with a gun, his eyes were bloodshot.
" Mine mine, it’s all mine." He pulled his hair and grinded his teeth. The bank doors were locked tight.
Corpses of the staff and guest littered the floor, amongst them were two men in ski masks.
Outside the bank were police cars surrounding every opening. " Come out with your hands in the air!" A police officer shouted through the speakerphone.
The man inside the bank raised his head, then he stood up and walked towards the back door.
The police raised their guns but he didn’t come out. " LEAVE, GET OUT OF HERE I WON’T LET YOU TOUCH IT, IT’S MINE, ALL MINE! it’s all mine."
His voice got lower by the end, his actions and appearances made those watching believe the man had grown crazy.
" Break it down" the police chief commanded. Explosives were placed on the door then BOOOOOM.
The doors were blown open and the police team rushed in guns blazing, their expressions changed when they saw the corpses on the floor.
Before they could react bullets were fired their way taking down three of them in a blink of an eye.
They returned fire killing the man in the suit. " I wonder what got into him." One of them whispered.
This man was a manager in this bank, he used to be an upstanding figure around here admired by most.
For him to suddenly do something like this, something must’ve happened to him. " Clean this up." The chief commanded.
He walked to the back where the vault was and found it open. Inside was a mountain of cash.
As soon as he saw it he froze, his officers came behind him.
" Was that gun fire?" A police officer asked, the chief was inside with nearly a dozen officers.
It was impossible for them to fail to take out one bank manager for so long. They wondered what’s happening in the there.
Then the chief came out carrying a black bag, he looked disheveled. " Chief, What’s happening?" They asked.
" Go in there, clean everything up, don’t go into the vault." The police officers were confused by his orders.
" Yes sir." But they obeyed, he was their superior, no matter how strange his orders were, as long as they didn’t go against rules, they had to obey.
Just as they left he stopped them, " Don’t go in, there might be a poison gas, something is very wrong inside that bank.
Lock it up, don’t let anybody come in until specialist get here understood?" They were even more confused now.
But they locked the bank door and blocked everybody from coming. A few police officers were left guarding the place.
Somehow the specialist delayed and wouldn’t arrive until the next morning, this in itself was strange.
As forensics were known to arrive very quickly on a crime scene, to leave corpses unattended like this was too strange.
While they were guarding the place, they didn’t notice somebody sneaking in through a hidden back door.
Why this door existed on a bank? Nobody knew but only the top brass of the bank knew of its existence.
This person walked right in and went straight to the vault with a black bag. Inside the vault were a stack of cash.
However some of it was missing having been taken by the chief earlier and sent to the station.
Nobody understood why he did that but they just obeyed his orders, if anybody will get in trouble, it was him anyways.
However that director was back in the vault, he removed the stack of paper money and underneath it was a ring.
The ring was made of gold and decorated with crystals of the highest order. He gently picked it up with shaking hands.
" Mine, mine, it’s all mine." He placed the ring on a black wooden case and placed the case on a bag.
Then he sneaked out of the bank again without anybody noticing anything. The next morning new came.
The forensics team were found dead, either murdered on their way to the bank of killed in the homes.
It was obvious somebody was trying to stop them from getting there, meaning somebody was hiding something in the bank.
The first suspect became the chief but when they reached his house he was long gone, so was his family.
They tracked the family down she found his wife and kids staying with her sister. They questioned her but her answer confused them.
The detectives in charge of the case looked at each other. " Detective Sanchez, I have a bad feeling about this."
A man with dark skin and short her spoke to his partner, a woman who looked to be in her early 30’s with flawless skin and not a single wrinkle.
The woman nodded, " Yeah, something is wrong." In her case, it wasn’t speculation, she was certain of it.
Back in the bank she caught a scent, a disgusting scent and that same scent was in the chief’s house.
She knew something was behind the unusual actions of the chief and that bank manager.
She didn’t know what it was exactly except that it was a spirit and a dangerous one at that.
" Let call it a night, we’ll deal with this tomorrow." She told her partner and left. He shook his head. ’ She’s a strange woman isn’t she?’ he thought to himself.
----------------------------------
Somewhere on a small town, a man with bags under his eyes and dishevelled hair sat in a corner.
He gulped down a glass of a strong liquor and stood up to leave but bumped into somebody.
Clang, something fell and clanked on the floor. Both men looked down and froze. " Mine."

( Precious has entered the chance.)
