Chapter 241: Chapter 241: 60 Years

Adrian tried a new method for 200 years, ’ I might be untalented.’ he told himself after millions of fails.

He looked down from the mountain he was sitting on, below him were countless of these monsters.

Some looked like wolves, others like panthers, birds etc. Even though he hadn’t managed to absorb ambient esper.

His power has grown significantly in the past two hundred years, the change was impossible to see at first glance.

But his mastery of his abilities made him multiple times stronger than before, he realised how much of a brute he was.

Right now he hasd grown strong enough to hold his own against level 7 monsters. Achieving that was not easy.

In his effort to absorb ambient esper he learnt a lot about his own esper, firstly, he can use both domains.

The area type domain that strengthen abilities and the warrior type that strengthen the physical body.

He already knew that but he didn’t know he can use them at the same time, that’s because the control needed to do that was absurd.

Another mistake came from his elemental abilities, Adrian would convert his lunar esper to esper related to those abilities to use them.

However this not only weakened those abilities but used more esper. The correct method was.

He opened his palm and silver flames Ignited above his hand. The temperature around him grew to absurd levels.

The surrounding snow melted turning into a flood that descended down the mountain like a tsunami.

Of course this was not enough to do anything to those monsters, the silver flame condensed into a sphere.

" Burn." He whispered and threw it down, it pierced through the snow and reached the ground almost instantly.

BOOOOOM, a wave of silver fire spread out incinerating everything they touched. This was his fire control ability.

However its power has grown to a whole new level, it was at least 7 times stronger when he used the same amount of esper.

" I was truly foolish before, changing lunar esper to flame esper, why did I think an inferior energy would be better?" He questioned himself.

The same went for water esper and all other elemental esper. After incinerating the monsters he flew down.

They started regenerating rapidly, he had already expected this. He waved his hand and pulled out a vial.

This vial contained a pitch black liquid with a hint of silver like melted obsidian. This was his venom.

It had grown much more potent when he reached level 5 gaining a stronger presence of his lunar esper.

Over the years he stored his venom in ice vials after running out of it mid fight multiple times.

However much to his dismay, he learnt the venom stored outside of his body lost its potency.

Had it not been for his ice vials made of his lunar esper, the venom might’ve just became coloured liquid.

Even so, the vials could only retain 30 percent of the venom’s potency, the upside was....

He dipped multiple needles made of lunar esper into the venom then fired them at the monsters.

A rain of silver fell upon the mindless horde turning them into a cloud of ash shrouding hundreds of kilometres below him.

As weak as the venom was, it was still highly effective against these creations as if they had no resistance against it.

Adrian had experienced this situation multiple times so he didn’t mind the dying horde below him.

There was not a single level 7 amongst them anyways so dealing with them was not an issue for him.

Adrian finally came to realise the weight the title a primordial had, it wasn’t just a title but power itself.

The world measured strength by the ranking of demons which happens to be the same as vampires.

But their knowledge of those races only extend to the rank of an archduke, not a primordial.

Even so, an archduke is known to break all conventional knowledge about the difference of power.

It is well know that the difference in strength between ranks is less than the difference between levels.

Fighting a single level above might require one to be at least two to three ranks above their opponent at high levels.

However this breaks when it comes to archduke, and archduke can fight a duke at entire level above them to a stand still.

As for those below a duke, they can even fight two to three levels as long as the other party is not a demigod.

However that was rare, extremely rare as it requires the archduke to actually master their strength.

Doing that requires training which demons and vampires disdain as the actions of lesser creatures.

However above them were primordials, in the outside world, not much was known about primordials, sometimes called progenitors.

Adrian’s knowledge was also shallow since it came from his blood but that knowledge was mostly about him and his race.

It came in fragments with more information every time he broke through a level but even that information was not too useful to him.

He just knew he was supposed to be strong and he thought he was before but now he realised how much of his potential was wasted.

Not just him, Annie too. Adrian sighed thinking about Annie then he stood up she stretched.

His upper body was bare naked, he had lost his clothes after three hundred years of battle.

His lower part was covered by a white animal fur. " I guess I should keep trying." He had a feeling he could do it.

The more he gained control of his esper the more he realised how absurd it was. It felt similar to the esper found in nature.

More specifically, it felt exactly like moon light given form. It felt less like the esper energy he’s detected on others but a part of nature itself.

He wondered if this was because he was an primordial. Nature esper was known to be extremely pure and untamable as evidence by him trying for over 200 years and failing.

But the nature of his own esper gave him hope, if he can tame his esper which felt so similar to natural moon esper.

He should be able to do it with the ambient esper as well and so he didn’t give up and continued trying to absorb and take the ambient for himself.

-------------------------------------------

In the outside world, things progressed and time went by. The world returned to normalcy.

People forgot about the things that happened in the past and just like that, 60 years went by.

Annie was having a bowl of ice cream when she froze, " Something is coming." She whispered but her family heard her.
