Chapter 238: Chapter 238: Glimpse Into The Live Of Wolves

Cassie left him on the street and drove back home, packed her bags and just as she was about to drive out the gate he appeared.

Covering his lower part with one hand and trying to stop her with another. " Baby please, let’s talk about this, we can work this out."

He begged but she ignored him and continued driving, realising she wasn’t stopping he jumped out of the way avoiding her car.

Cassie started crying as soon as she left the house but wiped her tears a few seconds later and her eyes turned cold.

She gripped her steering wheel tightly until her hands turned white then she released it and signed.

Screeeech, her car came to a sudden stop, in front of her stood two people, they were a bit different.

More beautiful than the last time she saw them but there was no mistaking it, this was her sister and her boyfriend.

Cassie got out of the car, she stood next to it not knowing what to say, for a moment she thought she was hallucinating.

" B..big sister?" She asked hesitantly, Suzie smiled at her.

" Hello Cassie." Cassie couldn’t hold back her tears and ran to her sister’s embrace.

-------------------------------------

The two of them weren’t the only ones living a comfortable life right now.

Sanchez went back to work solving cases most cops couldn’t even begin to try, her reputation grew.

Diego and Isabella continued running their club, they introduced more things drawing in more customers.

They were living the party life everyday making them quite famous in Lagos.

Annie went back to her family, she planned to stay with them for the time being, currently she was at a restaurant.

Not a high end restaurant, a simple three star restaurant with a relaxing atmosphere, her siblings were with her.

They had decided to go out as siblings without their parents. Suddenly she caught a scent.

’ An Espara?’ the scent somehow felt familiar to her but she couldn’t recognise it, then a group walked in.

One man with two women and a young girl about the same age as her own siblings. Annie froze.

" Cyril?" She asked softly and the man turned towards her and froze, seeing this the two women next to him glared at her sharply.

" Annie? Is that you?" Cyril asked sounding a bit excited, he looked around as if searching for somebody then turned towards her.

The young girl rushed to Athanathi, grabbed her hand and dragged her away. Anathi sighed and followed them.

Cyril walked to Annie’s table with the two women and sat opposite Annie. " It’s been a while, how have you been?" He asked.

His tone was friendly but Annie could hear the tenseness hidden beneath it. Her eyes shifted towards the two women.

They were glaring at her with burning eyes as if they were trying to see through her soul, Annie ignored them.

These two were strong indeed but not enough to threaten her, what surprised her the most was Cyril.

He was an Espara and not a weak one, he was already at level 5, so were these two, Annie knew a bit about Espara.

It either Cyril was an Espara before or grew to this level in eight years, either way, that wasn’t good news.

That would either mean he’s incredibly talented and has no doubt been scouted by the organisation.

Or he had an abundance of resources only the clans of the round table to produce with they’re wealth spanning thousands of years.

However she didn’t mention any of that and continued chatting with him. He introduced her to the women next to him.

’ Sithole and Sibiya? Those are clans of the round table, I need to be careful around these two.’

" Did you hear? The High Council of the Fayera arrested the wolf king and now, they’re looking for members of his pack.

There’s a huge reward for their heads, to be honest, if I were those guys, I would lay low as well and but dare reveal myself."

He continued eating as if he was making small talk. Annie didn’t stop nor react to what he said.

She raised her head and looked at him, " Well that has nothing to do with non combatants like us.

I heard those guys were quite strong and even more difficult than vampires to kill." She commented.

Annie understood Cyril’s message clearly, he knew what she was and he was warning but didn’t want to alert the other two.

Annie was wearing her rings but with her strength, hiding that she was a Fayera was impossible.

At most she could appear much weaker than she actually was which is exactly what was happening here.

They continued chatting, catching up to their old days while hiding something, then Cyril left.

Annie went back home as well, she needed to prepare an escape route in case things go south.

Time passed and a year went by, during that year the werewolves firmly placed themselves in the human world.

The rings were quite helpful in making them appear none threatening to the organisation and other Fayera.

Sam bought a hotel with a spar and hired somebody else to run it, he lazed all day with beautiful women giving him massages.

Melissa started a gym, a few members of her lineage joined her becoming the staff there.

Amongst them was Sane, after Bloody Mary was sealed, her soul returned to bed body and she came back to life.

Louis and Charlie funded a lot of orphanages, they started theme parks accessible to all kids, even those whose parents couldn’t afford the expensive parks.

Most werewolves didn’t stay in one place but travelled around the world, visiting a lot of mystical places in the realm beyond the mist.

Suki and Marcus were one of those, they earned a reputation amongst adventurers as daredevils.

Of course, none of them knew it was because they were not only level 5, not the three they showed but also immortal.

Most of the so called dangerous places couldn’t kill them, even if they got wounded they wouldn’t die.

----------------------------------------------

While the werewolves were having a blast, their king was bored out of his mind. A year had went by outside but here, it’s been a hundred years.

Adrian didn’t know this, he thought a hundred years had went by in the outside world as well.

But Niflheim was isolated and operated on its own time independent of Alguard( the realm beyond the mist.)

Currently he was sitting on top of a wolf carcass so large it appeared like a small white hill.

" This is strange." He bit into the heart of the wolf but nothing happened. " Too strange, these things, they’re not undead but they’re not alive either, well no use thinking about it."

He stood up, all around him were thousands of dead wolves, they twitched then stood back up slowly.

He sighed, " I’m not doing this anymore, his fangs came out."
