Chapter 234: Chapter 234: Morgana’s Gift

Back at base, Annie was the first to feel it, Adrian suddenly disappeared, his constant presence always felt by werewolves suddenly went silent.

For a moment she panicked until she felt him through their mate’s bond, it was stronger than other bonds they have.

She breathed a sigh of relief, " At least he’s still alive but wherever they took him must be disconnected from this realm." She concluded.

She felt the other werewolves growling, unlike her they didn’t have a mate’s bond with Adrian.

It wasn’t long before she received a panicking pack call from her parents. ’ Mom calm down he’s still alive.’

She had to explain for five minutes before her mother calmed down. Them she went out to address the others.

The werewolves were sitting in silence grinding their teeth. Sam who was usually lazy suddenly stood up.

" I’m in a mood to kill something today, I better walk it off." He tried to walk out but Annie stopped him.

" Out of respect for Adrian, I’m going to ask you nicely, stay out of my way Anele." Annie didn’t move.

" Sit down Sam, getting yourself killed won’t do anybody any good, especially not him."

" My lady, forgive me but I’m with Sam on this one, they cannot be allowed to live." Suzie spoke in a calm voice.

But everybody could feel a storm beneath that calm voice. All the werewolves stood up ready to go out.

The pack had its difference, she had noticed there were tension between some wolves but they all had one thing in common.

Extreme loyalty to Adrian, Annie admired that but sometimes that loyalty just makes them act foolish.

Not that she could blame them, could she not feel him through the mate’s bond, she probably would’ve been the first to march out.

" I understand how you’re all feeling but Adrian is still alive, I can feel him, we need to find a way to get him back.

We can’t do that if you all go out and get yourselves killed." Annie sounded irritated, they sat down and calmed down a bit.

" We don’t know how to that right now and they’re most likely to hunt us down too, I suggest we split up.

Lay low until I call you, then we’ll move out and catch them by suprise." The werewolves looked skeptical.

But Annie was still an alpha, the highest ranking werewolf amongst them as well as a mate of their primordial.

They nodded and before long, the werewolves moved out and split up, they used the black market to travel to different places.

The only people left were the 13 Delta and Naija who refused to leave her library noatter how much Annie told her.

" My lord assigned me the noble task of taking care of his great library, I shall do so until his return." She answered when Annie tried to argue.

" So you believe me, that he’s still alive?" She asked, Annie could see the doubt in the eyes of the others.

But there was none in Naija’s, even before Annie said anything, she was the most calm of them all.

Naija tilted her head, " Of course, my lord cannot be killed, only a blasphemous fool would believe such nonsense."

Annie giggled, " Yeah, I guess I should’ve expected that answer from you."

" What else could you have expected my lady? That is the only logical answer." Naija sounded genuinely confused.

" Alright, let’s move, we can’t stay here." She used her magic book to collect all the books in the library.

" Where are we going?" Suki asked. Annie opened a gate to the black market and they went there.

They expected her to lead them to another gate but instead she led them to an empty spot in the black market.

Before they could say anything she took out another ticket, it looked different from the usual black market tickets.

Suddenly a flight of stairs descended from the darkness hanging above them, the stairs were pitch black and glossy like polished obsidian.

Annie took a deep breath, " Alright, here we go." They started climbing until they reached the darkness and entered.

As soon as they did they lost their visions, the darkness was so strong it could block even their sense of hearing and smell.

Not to mention it was extremely cold, without question all 15 of them started transforming taking their werewolf forms.

BOOOOOM, the stairs shook, in front of them a mass of tentacles rolled down towards them.

They couldn’t see it clearly but they could feel like, their senses were impeded but not by much.

" The stairs are reducing the effect of the darkness on us since this is a trail, we’re a given a chance to fight back, so let rip this thing to shreds."

Annie growled, the others followed and they lunged at the rolling mass of tentacles which upon closer look.

Was a blob like creature with a giant mouth surrounded by countless tentacles, Annie had seen these tentacles once, when Adrian was attacked by the wraiths.

She knew, underestimating them would be a mistake

------------------------------------

In the human world, the city that had been attacked by Bloody Mary returned to normalcy.

The denizens had their memories wiped of the entire thing and their lives returned to the mundane routines they had before.

A month after everything happened on the night of a full moon. The denizens couldn’t sleep, not one of them.

They found it strange, even those with sleeping pills found them ineffective which was even stranger.

One person experiencing insomnia wouldn’t be strange but the entire city, that was too suspicious.

Suddenly the moon above seemed to grow larger and brighter. They all found themselves looking at it.

Then the moon turned into a silver eye catching them off guard, before they could react they all heard a voice.

" Unseal." The voice uttered directly into their heads and it was as if a seal had been broken.

A flood of memories came rushing in like a tsunami terrifying all them. Then they calmed down.

Their phones and computers lit up with notifications showing them videos they had taken of the incident.

Those videos had been erased by the organisation but now they were back. Everybody rushed to post them before the government came.

It wasn’t long before the organisation learnt of what happened, they were all confused because they were certain they had erased that city’s memories.

However this was a gift Meggie had left for them using Adrian’s compulsion ability which was the strongest on a full moon.

She imprinted it directly on the moon and when the spell active, it would offset the organisation’s memory wipe.

As for the videos, they took were locked inside a dark web but not a normal web but one operated by a spirit.

A modern type spirit born of people’s hatred for computer viruses, it wasn’t particularly powerful.

But when it comes to computers and the internet, even the best hackers working together might not be able to do anything to it.
