Chapter 516: Everlasting Garden

Floating above a snow-covered clearing where except for small flowers visible here and there nothing seemed to be, Cal looked slowly left and right with a calm expression.

[Do you think those two will be able to find the herbs?]

Nova’s question made Cal sigh softly and while flying in a specific direction he spoke, "While I doubt Khal would be able to recognize the herbs from the list I have given him, with Daire with him there I know they won’t fail."

[Yeah, that is true. Though I am still surprised he agreed to help us without asking for anything in exchange.]

’I mean, why would he?’ Cal raised his brow before he continued, ’Daire is someone who already reached the apex within this world and I bet he already achieved and obtained everything he wished to. If I have to take a rough guess, which I think is very likely the truth, he helps us because he is just simply bored.’

[Helping out of sheer boredom? That makes no sense.]

’Maybe for someone like you, but believe me, boredom can easily make a person do anything; and when I say anything, I really do mean anything.’

[...If you say so.]

After the two reached an end to their conversation, Cal finally seemed to spot what he had come for and quickly teleported into the distance, appearing several hundreds of miles away from his previous spot, right before a small flower.

The flower had a stem with the thickness of a finger and a color of black ink. Its snow-covered petals had an oval shape with sharp ends, its colors as yellow as the gold of a hive!

[Is this it? The so-called Soul Freezing Blossom?]

Cal nodded but instead of grabbing it right away and he activated his True Domain, quickly summoning a massively large garden around him with sections filled with different kinds of environments.

This Domain was one of his three regions within his True Domain, known as the Everlasting Garden where every herb he can copy and recreate any herb if he has once found one outside his domain!

Like this, he just had to find a herb once and from that point onward he can recreate that specific herb just as many times as he wished, naturally in exchange for large amounts of Body Essence which in truth for him were just droplets in the ocean!

Cal extended his hand toward the small flower and with a soft move touched it by its stem. However, the expected sight of him grabbing it and yanking it out of the ground never happened, instead, in his domain, right next to him, a small flower with an identical appearance to the one he held gradually began to materialize.

"Done." letting go of the flower and straightening his posture, Cal made the close proximity around the flower to be covered in snow, just like how the Soul Freezing Blossoms liked it.

"26th collected. 27 more to go." Cal mumbled and without hesitation activated his Heaven’s Eyes to spot the next region within the Sixth Realm where he could possibly find the next herb he has yet to collect for the Twin Soul Separating Pill.

"Found it," Cal stated as he looked in a specific direction but just as he was ready to use his Space Teleportation to save himself from flying thousands of miles for hours, the hair at the back of his neck stood up.

Siwsh!

Tilting his head just a single inch to the right, Cal watched a blue dagger fly past his cheeks and above his shoulder, flying into the distance with a flash before doing a sharp curve in the air about a hundred meters away from him and flying right back at him! 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦

"I planned to ignore you, but as it seems you have got tired from living I will do you a favor and send you into the afterlife!" Cal sneered softly but with an indifferent face and gently flicked his wrist.

Swish! Swish! Swish! Swish!...

With several golden flashes that lasted only for half a second, Cal’s Moonshadow sliced the flying dagger into bits before his Hell Blaze turned it into nothing but ash and dust.

"Fuck! I thought I got him!" several hundreds of miles away from Cal, a being wearing a black robe and having a pair of horns on his forehead stood on top of a small mountain, his face showing deep dissatisfaction for missing his target.

"Tsk... Well, whatever. I will just next time when he the least expects it." the being clicked his tongue in annoyance and was ready to leave, however, when he turned around his face turned so pale the one would believe he has just seen a ghost!

Even his legs seemed to tremble scarcely, giving one an impression that he was on the verge of pissing his pants!

Cal, standing exactly a foot away from the being stared coldly at him, his thick and murderous aura literally flooding out of his body like a tsunami.

[Really? He was that tried to kill you? Pfft... Please.]

Cal ignored Nova’s mockery and after looking at the being from head to toe he narrowed his eyes and quickly went to grab his horn.

The cultivator’s face paled even more seeing this and wished to flee, however, just as he was about to move he was terrified to see that he was unable to!

"W-Wha..."

"You have made a grave mistake and now you will pay the price of it," Cal spoke coldly and under the terrified gaze of the being, he activated his Divine Soul Sutra before powerfully swinging his arm downward and slamming the being’s face right into the ground, immediately causing the surroundings around them in a thousand miles radius to turn into total chaos!

BOOOOOOOOM!

Meanwhile, extremely far away from Cal, Daire stopped walking for a second and directed his puzzled gaze to the west, only to form a wide grin on his face and keep following Khal shortly after.
