Chapter 478: Chasing

Khal stood motionlessly before Hale and raised a brow.

"What should that even mean?" Khal decided to ask as he felt slightly confused.

Hale, however, just smiled and started to narrate the events that happened during his fight against the Realm Walkers.

In the beginning, Khal was nonchalant but the more he heard and learned his expression changed, turning into utter disbelief at the very end of Hale’s story.

According to Hale, every Realm Walker that attacked him used their bracelets in unique ways that in all the existing Realms are simply impossible to achive.

Realm Walkers suddenly turned into mechanical robots, using laser guns or laser weapons to fight, Realm Walkers using their bracelets to increase their comrades’ overall strength, or Realm Walkers that used their bracelets to create different high-tech items or objects out of thin air!

There was even a being that was capable of bringing the dead back to life, hence giving Hale a great amount of headache!

"Can my bracelet really do something like that?" Khal mumbled with awe as he raised his hand to see if he can make it respond.

However, no matter what he tried to do or think of, nothing happened.

"There is no reason to feel worried and bitter. I am pretty sure we will be able to find answers within the walls of this construction." Hale said, gesturing Khal to open the gate as it could only be opened with an individual who had a bracelet.

Whoosh!

After placing a palm on the gate’s surface, the massive gate opened, leading the way inside the pillar where only a spiral staircase was visible, seemingly allowing others to climb onto the second floor above.

"Are you ready?" Hale asked as he gave a sideways glance at Khal.

"Just after you, my Lord." Khal gestured like a royal servant to which Hale laughed and while leading the way he said, "You know, it feels pretty good hearing that from your mouth. Don’t you want to be my servant?"

"I must decline that offer, I am sorry." Khal didn’t even hesitate to reply, of course with a subtle and almost invisible smile.

The two climbed the stairs slowly and it was not soon before they reached the second floor, which surprisingly, was a long hallway, it’s interior pretty much similar to the one the starship had.

Walking through the hallway, Khal and Hale soon found themselves in a ridiculously huge hall with benches, trees, flowers, and bushes around everywhere with white alloy roads going in different directions, each glowing with different colors.

The whole place looked like a massive park in the center of a city where one went to relax for a little bit after a long and hard day.

However, in contrast to parks where usually the clear blue sky was visible if one looked upward, here a massive floating star was in the air, functioning as a source of light!

"Let’s look around," Khal said after admiring the scenery for a few moments and started to follow a road that shone with a gentle blue light.

And just like that, soon the two of them found themselves going through several hallways, discovering numerous rooms, each seemingly offering different uses to whoever entered them.

There were practice rooms, each for different weapons such as swords, bows, or fistfights, there were medical rooms, alchemy rooms, blacksmithing rooms, dining rooms, rooms filled with pools and slides, and many others that one could think of!

There was even a room that Khal immediately recognized as it was exactly the same as a karaoke room from his past life!

"This place is huge. I still can hardly believe they were able to build all this without me even noticing it." Hale exclaimed out loud as he stood before a door through which he was able to see a room filled with massive weights and different advanced machinery.

"Yeah, and al-" Khal was ready to agree and say something when suddenly his face changed abruptly.

And it was not only him but Hale too who immediately waved his hand and teleported the two of them inside a room which seemed to be the control center of the entire headquarter.

"What?" a man wearing a white coat with a gold shoulder plate on each shoulder froze the moment he saw Hale’s and Khal’s sudden appearance, his hand holding a small item that seemed to be a chip.

"Fuck!" however, he didn’t even need a second to curse out loud, and throwing the chip into his pocket he waved his hand, immediately turning into white smoke.

"Trying to run away, are we?" Hale narrowed his eyes and snapped his gaze in a specific direction while his eyes quickly turned deep gold in color.

Whoosh!

Not wasting even a second, Hale teleported himself and Khal into a hallway that seemed to be hundreds of meters away from the control center where the man wearing the white coat was forced to halt his steps and widen his eyes.

"This world is under my control. You can’t run away no matter what you will try to do." Hale said coldly as he extended his hand forward.

In that instant, the air around the man started to move toward Hale, his body unwillingly getting pulled toward Hale’s hand!

"Tsk! What a pain in the ass!" the man who had the hoodie on his head hence hiding his face clicked his tongue in annoyance and quickly raised his right hand toward the ceiling.

"Target Lock!"

[Command was heard! Initiating Target Lock!]

Whoosh!

Under the shocked gaze of Khal, the floor in a circular shape under his and Hale’s feet turned crimson red, and even before the two of them could have even reacted a heavy pressure fell on both of their bodies.

"Haha! Now I got yo-, Eh?" the man began to laugh from delight, but when he saw how he was still pulled forward and how both Hale and Khal who should be struggling on the ground still stood calmly on their feet his eyes almost fell out of their sockets!
