Chapter 438: Foreign Ruin?

Inside an underground chamber where only a single bed with a wooden table and two pieces of the wooden chair were visible, two individuals sat before one another, chatting with each other with a seemingly carefree attitude almost as if they had been knowing each other since decades.

However, if one would find out that those two individuals in fact only knew each other for less than a day, the shock would be no small, and even wonder just how was two people become so close to each other so fast.

Khal talked with Hao Yu for hours straight with a happy and calm smile on his face, completely oblivious that since he entered the founder of Moon Sect an entire day has passed outside.

Hao Yu was the same as he too showed a merry smile, enjoying Khal’s past stories while also telling Khal his own experiences from which Khal learned a lot.

For instance, Khal happened to learn that Hao Yu had been in secluded cultivation for two years straight without seeing daylight, and during that two years, he allowed his little sister, Senior Lin, to take care of everything regarding the sect.

Furthermore, he also found out that Hao Yu during his time back in the First Realm was considered a genius, one that just with his little over eighteen years of experience succeeded in becoming a top cultivator who ascended into the Second Realm!

"I am curious, but how did you heal your cultivation base?" after drinking the final drop from his cup and placing it on the table before him, Khal looked at Hao Yu and asked, "Different from everyone I have already cured, your root is firm and don’t seem to be affected by the fact you have ascended with a weaker cultivation base. Or did you perhaps find a way to reach the Tenth Cultivation Stage before you ascended?"

"Tenth Cultivation Stage?" Hao Yu raised a brow and as if he realized something laughed and shook his head, "Haha, no, I did not ascend like that. I was at the peak of the Ninth Cultivation Stage when I have become an Awakened."

"Then how did you..."

"How did I obtain the same foundation as others despite ascending with a weaker cultivation base?" Hao Yu finished Khal’s question and after taking a sip from his cup, he said, "Would you believe me when I have ascended I did not appear on a planet but instead inside a lost and foreign ruin in space where I have found a unique relic that blessed my cultivation?"

"Lost and foreign ruin in space? Relic which was capable of healing... Blessing your cultivation?" Khal raised a brow and couldn’t help but think about his Power Core which he has acquired from the sole dungeon he visited in the Second Realm.

"Yes." Hao Yu nodded before he showed a bittersweet smile and explained, "I would even show you if I could, but that relic was unique. When I touched it and blessed my cultivation it immediately turned into dust."

Khal was speechless and didn’t know what to say. Though a few seconds later, out of pure curiosity he decided to ask, "This ruin... You said it was foreign and was even inside space, right?"

"Right. Though, I still can’t decided if calling it as a ruin is the right thing as when I climbed out of the Ascension Pool, the first thing I found myself was in the middle of a room which walls were made out of a quite old alloy or some sort of metal." Hao Yu explained as he glanced with hollow eyes at the ceiling, seemingly recalling the scenery from his memories.

"The room was about just as large as this one but with walls, floor, and ceiling made out of iron or some kind of alloy. I first thought I was in an ancient metal fortress, but when I left the room I had to realize I couldn’t be further away from the truth. I was on a huge and abandoned ship that traveled through empty space!"

"A spaceship?" Khal asked with puzzlement.

"Not really so." Hao Yu shook his head and said, "I admit when I have ascended I did not really know what a spaceship was as such a thing did not exist back in the First Realm and I only heard rumors about it, but now that I know what a spaceship was and what its purpose is I can say with confidence that was not that."

Khal raised a brow in confusion, not knowing what the founder of the Moon Sect was trying to say. Indeed, he has to admit spaceships in this world were different from the ones in sci-fi movies or books that he read about in his past life, but there was not really that of a huge difference.

The only distinction between the two was that the spaceships in this world were only used for transportation and nothing else while the ones mentioned in books or movies could be used to fight and cause chaos too.

In a fact, spaceships in this world didn’t even look that futuristic nor did they work on fuel or special resources but on one’s Body Essence instead with the help of several formations and arrays!

Upon seeing the confusion in Khal’s eyes Hao Yu shrugged and said, "Don’t look at me like that. Even I don’t know what that thing was. Its interior was old and abandoned almost as if the interior of any ancient ruins, but outside it was a moving ship whose appearance was nothing I have ever seen before! In fact, if it were not for it stopping occasionally on planets for a few minutes, I would have been stuck there perhaps even for now too!"

Khal touched his chin with his right thumb and right index finger and began to ponder silently.

After thinking for a brief moment, he raised his gaze to look at Hao Yu and asked, "This... Let’s call it a spaceship. Can you tell me more about it?"

[Do you think it is the creation of the Otherworlders?]

’Definitely.’ Khal thought in his heart, but secretly he still was confused as Hale mentioned no Otherworlders have stayed in the Second Realm for more than a few days. So hearing that there was a starship flying around the realm that no existing race in this cultivation world could possibly replicate much less create, Khal couldn’t help but feel his curiosity increase uncontrollably.
