Chapter 424: Surrounded

Khal traveled through the Corpse Lands without resting and only killing corpse beasts, and even before he could have noticed it three days and three nights have passed.

’This is ridiculous.’ standing up from the ground which was covered in a layer of dried blood, Khal looked at his current amount of Body Essence and didn’t know whether he should laugh or cry.

In just a single day, he was able to increase his Body Essence from a little over 90,000 units all the way to 1,000,000 units. And since then that number increased even more, becoming thrice as much!

Yes, his Body Essence at this very moment was over 3,000,000 units! It was simply ridiculous to think that in his body over three million units of essence were located which if used at the same time would definitely be able to blast an entire planet into debris with a single punch!

’This palace is truly a blessing in disguise. I wonder if I will be able to get back here in the future.’ Khal pondered in his heart as he looked left and right and licked his lips as if he was hungry for more.

However, as his ’punishment’ has come to an end, he knew he won’t be able to come to this place for a long while.

"Hmph! Look at you, looking all dirty and smelling disgusting. You can consider yourself happy that you are still alive." as Khal was watching his surroundings in silence a familiar voice appeared from his side, one he hoped not to hear ever again.

Rolling his eyes, Khal turned around and with an exhausting facade showed a weak smile, acting as if he has regretted breaking the rules.

"It seems you have learned your lesson. Good." Nefia showed a proud smile for the first time instead of a cold one, and quickly waved her hand, "Now scram before I change my mind and keep you in this place a few days longer."

A delighted glint flashed in Khal’s eyes when he heard Nefia’s words, but as he knew she had no clue at all that he had no trouble surviving in this place known as Corpse Lands and even grew stronger, he acted as if he got scared and without hesitation ran into the space crack that appeared in front of him a few seconds ago.

Nefia seeing this just snorted coldly and once Khal vanished from her sight she too quickly disappeared into another space crack, obviously not wishing to remain in the Corpse Lands any longer.

Back inside Moon Sect, inside his residence, Khal walked out of a space crack and looked around to make sure he has indeed arrived home and not somewhere else.

"It is good to be back." Khal let out a sigh of relief, but soon his brows lowered into a frown and raised both arms before his face, his eyes glancing at his robes with a disgusted look.

"Damn, I smell horrible. I need to take a quick bath." Khal mumbled and was ready to take his clothes off when he suddenly felt as several presences locked onto him from somewhere far away.

"What now?" Khal sighed and activated his Heaven’s Eyes, immediately allowing him to see everything in at least a five miles radius as if he was everywhere!

"Huh? This..." however, soon his expression changed as he saw that everywhere around the sect, especially before the gates, thousands of creatures from different races stood next to each other, each wearing either armors, robes, or casual clothes with or without weapons!

There were even a few that were flying around the sect on top of different flying beasts with sizes no smaller than a house!

[It seems you had quite a huge impact on others. Well, I mean, this is what you have wanted, so...]

Khal closed his slightly loose jaw and nodded gently.

Indeed, he planned to make other races acknowledge him and all the humans as a race that was not weak and had potential, but he didn’t think his showcase of strength during the Realm Tournament will generate such a great reaction from others.

"Elder Khal! Elder Khal, are you in there? Please, open the door, it is extremely important!" a voice Khal was quite familiar with appeared from before the door as he watched the scenery outside the sect, seemingly being quite anxious.

"Elder Khal! Bless the Moon Goddess you are safe and well! The case is..." Elder Rene upon seeing Khal opening the door let out a sigh of relief and was ready to explain the situation around the sect, but Khal stopped him.

"I know. Just bring me to Sect Master."

"R-Right away." Elder Rene was slightly surprised as he didn’t know how Khal knew about the sect’s situation despite only coming back now, but as he understood their current situation he didn’t ask anything and quickly brought Khal to the entrance of the sect.

"Sect Master Lin, why are you making things hard for us? We just want to talk with that boy and nothing else!"

"Yes! You even accepted the gifts we have brought, yet you don’t even invite us inside your sect for tea! Don’t you feel any shame at all or perhaps this is how you humans like to do things?"

"We have been waiting for three days now! Where is that boy named Khal?!"

Before the sole gate of the sect, Senior Lin looked with an indifferent gaze at the thousands of beings in front of her, while behind her several Elders stood with their guards raised and stopped those that wished to sneak in.

"Esteemed guests! I understand that all of you are feeling impatient for several reasons, but I hope you can understand that Elder Khal still has not shown up. Also, I apologize, but our sect, unlikely any other sects around the Second Realm, is small, hence we can’t accommodate every one of you."

"Then why don’t you just invite only a few of us in? The rest can wait outside until then!" 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺

"That would create an unnecessary ruckus." Senior Lin answered quickly.

"Okay, that is enough. I am tired of waiting, I am going in and will find that boy alone!" a humanoid creature with the appearance between a crab and a shark sneered coldly as it raised both of its pincers high into the air.

However, just as it was ready to take a step forward, a voice filled with a hint of killing intent appeared in the air, instantly forcing it to freeze.

"If you don’t fear from dying, you are free to take a step forward. Though, that will be the last thing you will do in this life of yours."
