Chester didn’t speak again, his gaze on Rebecca Quentin growing even deeper.
Rebecca Quentin smiled faintly, "Director Turner said you’ve recovered well, which puts my mind at ease... After we leave, you have to take good care of yourself."
Yes, for more than a week, aside from the hospital doctors and nurses, it was almost always Rebecca Quentin taking care of him.

Rebecca Quentin smiled serenely, "Doctor Robinson, you’ve always felt I played an indispensable role in your life. But I ask you, how many memories have I left you with?"
Seeing the gloom in Chester’s eyes, Rebecca Quentin went on, "I’m afraid the memories I’ve left you stop at childhood... If we were truly meant to be, I wouldn’t have met Howard Geoffrey, and you wouldn’t have failed to even recognize me when we met... Our relationship is more like siblings, don’t you think?"
A sense of being seen through made Chester inexplicably restless, "Is this your excuse to reject me?"
Rebecca Quentin shook her head, "Even if I hadn’t met Howard Geoffrey, there would have been no outcome between us."
Chester’s gaze turned sharp, "I don’t believe it."
Rebecca Quentin smiled calmly, "Even if I met you first, eventually we would go separate ways... because your heart has already been occupied by someone."
Chester smashed a fist against the chair, "Don’t brush me off with such words!!"
Keith Antony was startled.
Chester gritted his teeth and spat, "In this life, I’ve never made a wrong decision!"
Rebecca Quentin laughed lightly, "So, pushing away Alice Robinson and choosing me, you think was the right decision?"
"Are you afraid I’ll fight Howard Geoffrey for you again?"
"I’m not afraid... because right now, you’re just deceiving yourself!!"
Chester suddenly pulled Rebecca Quentin towards him, his icy voice close above her head, "If I were heartless, Howard Geoffrey might not have had you, but with you, I couldn’t be that cruel. Grimacing in pain from Chester’s grip on her shoulder, Rebecca Quentin frowned.
