Chapter 326: The Last Siren

The song of the sirens would be spoken about with both awe and hated when discussed in the universe in the future. The sirens could use their voices to enrage their allies, causing their bloodlust to soar while also weakening their enemies. Their songs could confuse defenders while allowing attackers to ignore all pain and injury. They could charm individuals to do their bidding, captivate the common person to earn their allegiance or even drown a person in their own doubts and fears, causing them to go crazy. The sirens would be both respected and feared in the many years they fought beside the Asura.

And they would never forget the favor the Asura had shown them by helping them off their dying world and giving them this chance.

Due to their isolation and low, female only population, the sirens would never have developed the means to explore the universe. But with the help of one up and coming warlord, they were given this chance and made full use of it.

Not every siren could be convinced to leave their home world though. Only about half of their population decided to go with the asura who was offering them the chance. The other half stayed, not believing the information provided by their visitor. It was only centuries later when the thriving population of the sirens who had ventured out decided to return to their home world and try to save those who were left discovered that their people had died off due to the lack of nourishment that came with the death of the regular population on their world.

It was never discovered as to why the population ceased to exist, any records having been lost in the many years of time that followed their demise. Even though the sirens had adapted to among the stars and the many races who inhabited them, they still felt the connection to their planet and tried to figure it out. But nothing came from the investigation.

Very few records of the native population survived and the only things they could find reference a ’culling.’ But what that culling was or how it took place, they never even found a scrap of information about.

When the final battles between the Asura, their allies and the Darkness came to occur, the Sirens always stood on the side of the Asura. When the final members of the Asura race vanished, the Sirens vanished as well. Even once the darkness retreated from the battle fields to rule over their now immense and unchallenged domains, the Sirens were never seen again.

They were just one of many races that refused to submit and were therefore eradicated.

All of this was just a record of the past that didn’t mean anything to Lyssa right now. But as she watched it play out, she felt more and more familiarity with this strange race of creatures. Even while watching the Sirens being massacred in battle after battle, the darkness aiming for them first before wiping out the rest of the armies, the Sirens never backed down.

One of the last Sirens to be killed wore a glorious crown on top of her long, blue hair. In her hands, she held on to a seven stringed instrument which she played even while her fingers bleed, the notes coming from which seemed to grant a strength that couldn’t be matched to those fighting before her eyes.

A strong and mighty Asura with golden eyes and a massive sword stood next to her as she played and placed a hand on her shoulder, his golden gaze touched with a hint of sadness.

Even though she understood what he wanted to convey, she gentle shook her head and continued to sing, her fingers bloody. Even when she coughed up blood, she never let her song stop until the very end.

She finally stopped once a shadow like lance impaled her and her vision started to go dark. Her last vision was of the golden eyed Asura’s strong back laying in front of her while dozens of lances jutted out from his mangled form. She tried reaching for him, but then everything disappeared.

Lyssa was left alone in this darkness, the visions having come to an end. Just when she felt like she was going to close her eyes and dissolve into the darkness, she felt something warm invade the cold space. While the darkness itself was suffocating, the area around Lyssa was now covered by a black flame that contained a hint of gold. As Lyssa looked on, this black flame spread out, circling her inside a sphere. In the next moment, a blinding flash of light caused Lyssa to shut her eyes in protest to fight off the light.

Blinking and opening her eyes, Lyssa realized she was staring at the final siren who was also staring back at her. Neither spoke a word, but many things seemed to pass between them at that moment. As such, when the beautiful siren finally smiled, Lyssa couldn’t help but smile back. She raised her hand, palm facing out as the siren did the same.

Touching hands, a blinding blue glow resonated outwards, causing the darkness to recede.

...

When Lyssa came to in the morning, her entire body hurt. She felt weak and woozy, like she had come down with something. She grabbed her phone, checked her calendar and sent out a group text about staying in bed today since she didn’t feel good. The other girls were concerned and wanted to know if she needed anything and when she did to just ask. Since all four girls had their own rooms off the master suite, they all slept alone and gave each other space. It wasn’t always like that, so they enjoyed it while they could.

Lyssa simply told them she was going back to sleep and would wake up later, but even that took all the energy she had. She felt like if she didn’t close her eyes again soon, that they would force themselves closed. As such, she turned her body over to go back to sleep and only barely managed to notice a stranger was in bed next to her. Even as the alarm bells in her head went off, she couldn’t stay awake any longer.

...

When Dean awoke, he did so from a strange dream. He had seen a beautiful race of female creatures ascend from their home world, spread out among the stars and even wage war in the darkest reaches of space.

The entire thing played out like a movie in his head that he had no control over. On top of that, it wasn’t even a dream where he was a participant, just a spectator.

So when Dean finally opened up his eyes, he was more that just a little lacking mentally. The bed felt strange, his body felt strange. Even the air smell strange.

’What the hell? Where am I?’ As Dean blinked and tried to rub the sleep from his eyes, he finally understood that he was not in his own bed.

’I know I was wasted last night, but I am like 90% confident that I went to bed in my own bed.’

Looking down, Dean could see the barely covered body next to him. Her dark hair, while somewhat short, had streaks of blue throughout. Even though she was covered with blanket, Dean couldn’t help but notice the curves from her profile.

’Ah... Damn it... Least she’s sexy from the side. But still... should I wake her or sneak out?’ Dean didn’t want to be a dick and just leave, but since he didn’t remember shit about the night before, he had no idea what kinds of consequences there would be. Therefore, in Dean’s mind, a clean break was the right course.

Dean got up and started looking for his clothes, only to find that the floor was completely clean. Not only did he not have any clothes laying around, it was obvious that the girl didn’t either.

’Did we get naked somewhere else? Oh... I still have my boxers on. That’s one plus... Wait... Does that mean that we didn’t?’ Although it was strange, Dean started thinking that maybe he had just fallen asleep here and they hadn’t actually done anything. If that was the case, it would make things a whole lot easier.

’Well, if I rock it just right, people will probably think these are swimming shorts... long as my cock doesn’t stick out the front.’ Dean looked down and decided that maybe he should find a towel and just wrap that around himself before he made his way out the door. Luckily, it seemed like there was a fresh pile of towels laying there so Dean just grabbed one off the top.

Dean then looked around and noticed that the room actually had three doors, something he didn’t expect. Walking over to the first door, Dean opened it slowly and noticed it went to a large bathroom that was shared with another door.

’Fuck... this must be a suite.’

Closing that door, Dean was then extra careful about the next door he opened, cracking it just a little ways and listening.

"We should get her some soup or something?" Dean heard a familiar voice say.

"Think it was because she drank too much?" He heard another familiar voice reply back.

"No. We only had the one a piece. That shouldn’t have been any problem for her, even with her tiny frame. Let’s just let her sleep for a while and go check on her. I’m sure it’s nothing," the last familiar voice said before Dean closed the door and held himself still.

He was barely able to keep himself from screaming out.

He knew those voices, knew who they belonged too.

’And if those voices were there, then the one in the bed must be...’ just as Dean turned around, he noticed the figure rise from the bed while the blankets fell off of her, reveal full, plump and perky breasts. Further down was a toned and tempting stomach. Luckily for Dean, the covers didn’t fall all the way off, allowing her most sensitive region to remain covered.

While Lyssa was shaking the sleep from her eyes, things started coming into view. She reached for her glasses and put them on her face, only to find that things went crazy blurry when she did. Taking the glasses off, everything was clear and perfectly in focus.

That was when she noticed Dean standing there, looking at her like a deer in headlights.

"I know you might be thinking something bad. But.. it’s not what you think. Ok? I still have my boxers on which means.... no. Please don’t scream...." And just when the sound broke from her mouth, Dean had made his way to the third door that lead to the hallway and took off running.

’It was fucking bad enough when the other three lied to me and that whole thing happened, but to wake up in bed with a 16 year old girl? Fuck that. Since I’m sure we didn’t have sex, long as I deny everything, I should be good... But seriously. How the fuck did I end up here... and why did I think that saying I still had my boxers on would prove anything? Way to go Dean...’ The thoughts raced through his head as he raced down the stairs, not even bothering to wait for an elevator least he look back to see his ’victim’ come after him.

Back in the room, Lyssa was sitting there, covering her body with the hastily grabbed blanket when the other girls burst into the room.

"WHAT’S WRONG?"

"WHAT HAPPENED?"

"WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?"

The girls asked one by one until the final question came out. When it did, all three girls stared at Lyssa in shock and awe.

They had no words.

"What?" Lyssa said, even her voice was different. It sounded the same for the most part, but now it was sweeter, more ethereal. After speaking, Lyssa couldn’t believe what came out of her mouth either.

"It’s me... Rain, Tia, Mila? Oh... my god... this is my voice? I sound like this?" Lyssa’s hands when to her neck and poked it, then she started playing with her mouth like making sure it was still there.

"Lyssa?" Rain finally asked, coming back to reality.

"Yes? I know. My voice seems to have changed somewhat as I slept..."

"It’s not just your voice Lys. Come with me..." Mila then grabbed Lyssa hand and dragged her up and over to the mirror by the TV. Lyssa just dragged the covers with her, wondering why such light sheets seemed to be kind of heavy.

Or, she wondered that until she understood that she was holding up her breasts as well.

"What the.. fuck...." Lyssa said, dropping the sheets in surprise while revealing her figure. She still had the underwear she put on before going to bed, but now the boy shorts were stretched tight against her both her front and back, causing her ass to look like it was barely staying in.

"Holy shit..." All the girls said at the same time, having no idea what happened. But When Mila and Lyssa were standing side by side at the mirror, the normally radiant Mila actually looked a little duller when compared to Lyssa.

The flood of questions came shortly after.
