Chapter 310: Chapter 308: “Stolen... Time.”

"Hahahahahahahaha!!!!! How does that feel! Do you see the magnificence of a mythic holder now??" He laughed deliriously.

I ignored the laughing fool.

Closing my eyes I let my perception bleed into this domain of his.

I could feel time.

Not metaphorically. Not figuratively. But literally.

At one point, the world seemed to be in a state of constant acceleration.

At another, it had come to an absolute halt.

At another, things aged at blinding speeds, growing old one instant then becoming young another.

The world seemed confused at which state of time it should exist in.

Everyone. And I mean, Everyone. Within the Elowyn territory had been frozen in time.

From Mira, to the matriarch, to even the old hag, none were spared.

Only three people were unaffected.

Darius, Myself, And..

"This is bad.."

Clarissa’s solemn voice sounded beside me.

"Heh!" I laughed, closing my eyes and then.

My preception spread outwards.

At this point, I already had a perception range that was wide enough to cover a place like the imperial capital of the human continent’s eastern domain, three times over, yet even then...

"Heh! Truly. A wasted gift." I smirked as I felt the effects of this domain extend far beyond what my perception could cover.

I didn’t know for how far, but I knew for sure that the powers that be must’ve already felt the effects of the frozen moment.

"To think a weakling like you could receive such a gift. Terra must’ve been blind."

"Foolish plebeian. You do not yet understand your plight, do you? There is no escape from my eternal moment."

Reigning in his laughter, Darius regained some semblance of dignity as he smiled coldly.

"The minute you were ensnared by my domain, you already gave up all hope of wining."

"Heh! Is that what you think?"

"You still intend to act brave? I’ll give it to you, I do not know how you’re capable of movement within my domain, but that should be all you’re worth. Heh! Now, it’s time to end this."

"Dante. Stay behind me. This is no longer any time to mess around." Clarissa stepped in front of me as she faced Darius, but..

SMACK!!

"Aahhnnnn!"

A hard smack on her behind sent that thought flying out the window.

"Hey!!! Now is NOT the time!!"

"Heh! You don’t look good with that solemn expression on your face. I prefer you this way." I smirked.

Ignoring the glaring Clarissa, I finally decided to acknowledge Darius’ statement.

"You’re right. It is time to end this. I..."

My right arm rose,

".... Have seen enough."

SNAP!

At the snap of my fingers,

CRACK!

A deafening crack sounded out.

Darius froze as his face turned horrified. He raised his head,

CRACK!

Just in time to see another massive crack run along the surface of the massive golden clock.

"No..."

CRACK!

"No... No..."

CRACK!

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO......"

SHATTER!

The entire thing burst apart into a golden shower of glittering particles as the world finally resumed its movement, time flowing naturally once again.

"Blerrghhhh...."

Darius’ mouth opened up as a fountain of blood sprayed forth.

"Dragon Son!"

The armored man, Zebediah, screamed out in urgency as he tried to make a move.

"Stop."

A single word from me and the atmosphere around him thickened enough that movement became impossible.

"What is this!!!?" His widened in horror as he felt his powers being suppressed, Negation actively canceling out any ounce of power he tried to channel out.

"Now..."

I took a step, appearing before Darius’ collapsed and bleeding form.

"Where were we?" I crouched down, a hand wrapping around his neck, as I lifted him up.

"Kuh.. kuh.. Kuh.." He struggled, trying to get out of my clutches.

BOOM!!

A solid fist to his stomach and another mouthful of blood and organs came pouring out of his mouth.

"I suggest you stop doing that. Unless you wish to suffer that is."

I smiled. A bright sunny expression, as finally, the arrogance and pride in his eyes disappeared.

In its place?

Fear and Terror.

A stimulating thrill shot through my spine as my smile widened even further.

"Ahhh... yes. That’s the look a snake should have before a true dragon."

"Kuh..."

"Say it..."

"Kuh.."

BOOM!!

"Blerghhhh...."

"Say it..."

.....

BOOOM

"Blerghhhh...."

"Say it..."

...

"I... I am.. I am no son of a dragon.."

"HAH! Hahaha.. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!"

"Good! Now! What son are you? Say it! I want to hear you say it..."

"Kuh..."

BOOOOOM!!!

"Blerghhh..."

"SAY IT!!!!"

"I.. I am the son of a snake!!"

...

...

"Ahhhhh....." I didn’t expect the euphoria that came with hearing this bastard admit to being the spawn of a spineless snake, but..

"I love it... heh! I love this feeling..."

My grip on his neck tightened as his face went blue, his breath leaving him.

"You... you can’t do that." The strained voice of the armored man stopped my actions.

"Hmm? And why’s that?" I asked, an eyebrow raised.

"You will incur the wrath of the entire Draken ancient family if you do."

"But... I already have. Or did you not know who I am?"

The man’s eyes visibly shook.

"Ahh.. so you do. Then you know, you threats mean nothing.."

"The Elowyns. Your actions, they’ll implicate the Elowyn."

Now that, made me pause.

I turned, eyes locking onto those emerald green jewels of Mira.

"Clarissa..."

"He’s right."

"How bad would it be."

"An all out war wouldn’t be out of the question. The importance of that filth is on par with my beautiful niece over here, now could you imagine what we would do should anything happen to her." At her words, my grip loosened slightly.

"Plus. He’s a mythic talent holder, which means, Those People have probably made arrangements for him."

I didn’t need to ask who she was talking about.

I already heard of what happened with father, so I knew clearly what she meant, but still..

"I can’t just let him leave. He dared release his killing intent at me. Dared to harbor intentions at not just Mira but Melissa too. Few have done that and lived to tell the tale." My grip tightened once more.

"Mira.." I called out, turning away, eyes locking onto those frightened eyes.

"This poison seems pretty weak, yet it dared try to step out of line. What do you say?"

...

...

"Will you take responsibility?"

"Heh! I already claimed you before everyone. If I didn’t do that much, what type of man would I be."

Her eyes glowed.

"Will you give me his head here and now as a promise. To show them all that you won’t back down?"

"I’ll do you one better. I’ll make sure they all stay here permanently. Their ashes shall saturate the waters with which we shall bathe in this night."

The green glow in her eyes intensified as a manic smile appeared on her face.

"Careful, Dante. You’re saying some very dangerous words."

"Heh! Just say the word. Do you wish to abandon this weak poison for something infinitely more potent. One that will corrupt your system so thoroughly you would be unable to live without it?"

"You make it sound like I had a choice. I already know what kind of man you are, Dante. And I have no plans of escaping."

At her words, my smile turned manic. An intense golden glow flashing within them.

"So be it."

I looked at Darius..

"You want to see what a true usage of time looks like?"

The terror and fear in his own eyes said it all.

"Let me show you..."

"STOLEN....

..... TIME"

His eyes widened in absolute horror as his time was slowly stolen from him.

His hair went first, turning a grayish hue.

Then his sight.

His skin shriveled and peeled away.

His eyes turned to dust.

Slowly, every piece of him aged drastically. Till only his bones remained, but even those.

CRACK!

POOF!!

Cracked and shattered into gray dust that drifted with the wind.

Silence.

A choked and confused silence held the entire audience.

They had just watched the Dragon Son of the Draken Family turn into nothing more than drifting gray dust.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!" An angry bellow echoed through the silence as the armor wearing Zebediah’s eyes turned bloodshot, his aura threatening to flare out, but.

"Quiet!" A single word and the entire charade was put out.

I turned, wanting to continue my macabre proposal when a whisper drifted through the atmosphere.

My head snapped toward the distant whisper.

My expression changed.

Eyes narrowed.

I took a single step.

Space folded.

I vanished.

********

A/N: what did the atmosphere tell bro for him to react so strongly?? Well, let’s find out in the next Chapter.
