Chapter 311: Chapter 309:Tell father.. I need his help.
The Elowyn family’s territory stood alone, far removed from civilization.
The closest city to it, The southern continent’s Feline Imperial City, was over 500 miles out.
It was a city three times the size of the human continent’s eastern domain imperial capital.
With more powerhouses and a general overall strength.
Even the commoners here were never below the C-rank.
As for the royalty themselves, being offshoots of the Elowyn family, their prowess was even more pronounced.
Surrounding this city was the notorious Evergreen Forest.
It was a place of endless green and monstrous wildlife.
Covering a radius of over 500-square miles, it was a monument to the entire southern continent itself, only losing out in prestige to the western Thousand Mile mountains.
Deep within this forest. At the core region, on a mountain peak that pierced into the skies, two figures could be seen standing.
One was young, looking no older than a youth in his early twenties, with waist length purple hair and rainbow colored deer antlers jutting out of his head. His eyes, a tapestry of beauty swirled with a multitude of colors.
Behind him, stood the other.
It was an elderly man of average height, his face, despite looking aged, Maintained a rosy hue, his expression one of absolute boredom as his eyes looked in the same direction as the youth.
"Young master. If I may."
The youth merely nodded.
"I believe you’re wasting your time. All this planning , all this caution. Just to handle a middling planet’s whelp is beneath you." The man said, disdain clear in his voice.
"Elder Cassius." The young man’s voice was cordial, respectful.
"Yes."
"Tell me what you see when you look at that young man."
"An arrogant frog in a well. One that has yet to understand the true depths of the seas and the heights of the sky."
"Hmm. That was probably what the others felt about that man as well. And how did that end?"
At his question, the elder went silent.
"Time and again. You seem to underestimate the natives of this planet, yet you yourself are well aware that there exists people whom even you would not dare tread lightly around."
The elder’s face went grim at those words.
"It is only because this planet suppresses me, young master, otherwise..."
"Don’t. Don’t embarrass yourself. If they were placed outside this planet, we both know what your end would be."
The man went silent.
"But to think he could reduce a Mythic Talent wielder to such a state." The young man shook his head, an amused smile on his face.
"We might need to tread a bit more carefully around this one. He doesn’t seem to have the same scruples as his father."
The old man turned, his gaze focused in the direction of the Elowyn estate.
ZING!
The world flashed as everything stilled.
"Oh? He even used that?" The youth laughed.
Both he and the old man remained unaffected within the frozen world as they just watched.
"Now. Let’s see how you..."
CRACK!
CRACK!
CRACK!
SHATTER!!!
Before he could even get the words out, the entire frozen state, the massive clock that had spawned within the skies, everything, shattered.
"What?" The youth’s smile was wiped off his face instantly.
"Did he just...."
Even the old man had turned grim.
Their eyes sharpened as they watched Dante lift Darius up, beat him into submission, then threatened to kill him.
"Young master. If you don’t act now, you might lose your little acquisition." The old man uttered gravely.
The youth’s eyes flashed.
His face paled slightly.
"Don’t. Do not make a move."
"Young master."
"Do not move."
Hearing the graveness in the voice of his young master, the elder stayed his hand as they watched in increasing solemnity.
The moment Dante used Stolen Time to reduce Darius to nothing but gray dust, silence fell between them.
"Hah! Hahaha... Hahahahaha..." the young man laughed.
His hand covered his face as he laughed.
"Young master..."
"I know. Hahahaha... I know."
His hand came down.
"The Supreme Law of Time. In the Mortal Stages. Interesting. Very interesting."
"Elder Cassius. Do you still think it was a waste to do this?"
"You lost a mythic talent wielder, young master. Those are coveted, even on Primeva. You could’ve gained a proper support for the family head competition."
"Heh! A mythic talent that can’t hold himself against a mere mortal is unworthy of being my support."
He looked into the distance.
"I wonder what would happen if I approached that young man."
"Young master.."
"I know. Don’t worry. He will probably come for my head before I even get any words out. Hehe.."
The old man remained silent.
"Alright then. Elder Cassius. I have seen enough. Let’s..." he never got to finish those words as his face went deathly pale.
A feeling of overwhelming death engulfed him and he froze.
"El.. Elder Cassius.." the old man was already moving.
He swung his hand and space split apart.
Grabbing his frozen young master, they took a step and vanished.
Not even moments later.
ZAP!
Dante’s figure appeared.
A roiling killing intent rolled from his body.
Trees withered.
Birds fell lifeless from the skies.
Monsters collapsed where they stood.
For over a hundred miles...
There was nothing but...
DEATH.
"Hmmm? Interesting..." he smiled.
.......
.......
"Haa.. Haa.. Haa..." the young man crouched down, hands on his knees.
His body was trembling violently as sweat poured off his body like rain.
"Haa.. Haa.. Haa.." he breathed heavily. Trying to compose himself.
"Elder Cassius.."
The old man couldn’t respond.
He was too busy looking at his arms.
They.. were trembling.
"I am... afraid?"
"Elder Cassius.." the young man’s call finally snapped him out of it as he answered.
"Young master."
"We... haaa... we might need to reevaluate our options."
The old man didn’t reply.
"That monster is nothing like his father. We might need more help."
"Just say the word."
"Tell Damien. That fool. Not to do anything. And I mean anything. He should wait for my signal..."
"YOUNNG MASTER!!!!!!"
CRACK!
SWISH!!
Space split open as an arm came through. A devastating chop being delivered as,
PSSSSHHHHH!!!!
An arm went flying. The young man barely having enough time to react before his eyes flashed brilliantly, a halo of multicolored light cutting off access to the surrounding space.
"... You."
"...We will meet again." An amused voice came through the crack in space before it sealed itself shut.
"Young master!!" The elder finally reacted as he rushed towards the bleeding young man.
Gritting his teeth. He pulled out a vial of a thick green potion.
He opened his mouth and drank it.
.....
.....
Nothing worked.
"Damn it! Something is preventing my regeneration and healing!" The youth ground his teeth in pain.
"Young master. You have to use it."
"I know. Damn it!"
"Fate reversal." The bleeding stump froze.
Then, like it never happened. The severed arm reattached itself.
The blood. The scar. The pain. Gone.
"Haa.. Haa.. Haa.." breathing heavily the young man stood.
"That attack.... There was something in that attack.... something the likes of which I’ve never felt before."
"Young master.."
"Elder Cassius. I need you to place a call for me...
... tell father...
I need his help."
