The moment those words appeared before him, Alex didn’t even get enough time to brace himself before he suddenly felt a violent, uncontrollably surge of energy, he couldn’t explain, erupt from somewhere deep inside his body.
W-what the...?! This one was way different than when he broke through to D Rank and C Rank. The energy rushing through his body this time wasn’t as warm as last time, it felt more like a volcano that had been dormant for too long, suddenly erupting with unstoppable power.
His breathing suddenly became heavier and his eyes turned blurry as he felt what felt like countless streams of molten energy coursing through his veins like raging rivers in a storm.
He didn’t know how to accurately put it into words, but it was like as if a dam had suddenly burst open inside his soul, flooding every single part of his body with an immense amount of pure power.
Then something really strange happened next.
Just like how the Chinese man’s eyes had turned blue when he was breaking through to Ascendant Realm, Alex forest green eyes slowly began to change.
With his vision that was a bit blurry, the reflection on the nearby glass window caught his attention. His green eyes faded away little by little before being replaced by what definitely looked like a breathtaking mixture of deep crimson and royal purple.
The two colors continued to swirl together inside his pupils like galaxies revolving around one another. Which by the way, looked both scary and mesmerizing at the same time. It had that awe factor to it.
The sight alone made him look completely different. If someone has seen him now, they would never believe this was the same Alex from only a few moments ago.
A thick, heavy gust of wind suddenly exploded outward from his body in all directions, bending the surrounding trees until their branches nearly touched the ground.
Leaves that had fallen, loose dirt’s, and tiny stones were swept into the air as though they had been caught in the center of a miniature hurricane.
The sheer amount of pressure generated from his body pressed down hard against the earth, causing the soil beneath his sneakers to crack and sink until a small, shallow type of crater formed directly under his feet.
Before Alex could even process what he was seeing, he noticed something surrounding his body. Was that purple and crimson flames? No... Not flames. At least, not ordinary ones.
If he was being completely honest, It kind of resembled a mystical energy that danced like fire without consuming anything it touched.
Countless wisps wrapped around his arms, shoulders, legs, and torso like a cloak of royal purple and crimson fire, flowing so naturally that it felt like they possessed a life of their own.
"So... this is Desire Energy..."
For the first time since obtaining the Heavenly Desire System, Alex could actually, like actually see the mysterious energy with his own two eyes. And he had to say, the sight was amazing.
One second, It was beautiful and looked noble which represented the purple part. Then the other, it burned with passion and desire which obviously represented the crimson part. Yet beneath that beauty lay a frightening amount of destructive power.
Then his expression suddenly changed.
Hngh... Heat! An unbelievable amount of heat flooded his body. But surprisingly... It didn’t actually hurt that much. Oof! For a second there he thought it would hurt like crazy but seems he got so worked up over nothing.
The chibi who had been quietly floating backward, watched him with a slight smile. Then she murmured under her breath.
[Here it comes...]
The moment those words left that small mouth of hers....
Pain! Unimaginable pain! Struck his body. Alex’s pupils shrank to the point of needles. Grrr.... He immediately shut his eyes tightly as every single muscle in his body tensed, and grounded his teeth together so hard that they almost produced sparks, telling anyone just how much pain he was currently going through.
He couldn’t afford to scream, no matter what! Even if it felt as though millions of microscopic hammers were all striking at every inch of his skin. His muscles compressed before expanding again, becoming far more refined than before.
His bones for fuck sake, creaked loudly. With each bone feeling as though it had been melted down and reforged from scratch.
Alex wouldn’t even wish this kind of pain on his enemies. Okay, that was a lie. He would definitely wish even worse on his enemies after all he wasn’t exactly a saint.
Now back to the damn awful pain. Yes it was as agonizing as it could be. Yet beneath the pain, Alex could clearly feel just how much stronger they were becoming. His spine released a series of popping sounds. His ribs became stronger. And even his skull seemed to harden.
But the crazy transformation didn’t just stop there, he could feel every single internal organ of his, being continuously strengthened and refined. It looked like after this whole damn thing, his durability better be off the charts.
Despite the whole ordeal, not once did Alex even think of screaming. Because if he did, then the whole neighborhood would definitely hear it and rush toward here. And that was the last thing he wanted to happen.
Just when he felt like he couldn’t take it any longer, a loud earth shattering sound of a thunder clap reverberated throughout the area. Then the crimson and purple flames instantly began to seep back into his skin, vanishing just as quickly as they had first appeared.
Silence followed, before Alex slowly opened his eyes. At first, the crimson and royal purple glow briefly lingered for a few seconds, before finally fading away completely, revealing his familiar sparkling forest green eyes once more.
He stood quietly inside the small crater. The wind slowly died down, and his black shirt fluttered gently before settling against his body. Alex lowered his head and stared silently at both hands.
He slowly opened and closed his fingers. ".... This strength..." It was completely different.
Before today, becoming stronger had always felt.... gradual. But this... This felt like crossing an entirely different world. He could sense the terrifying amount of power resting inside every muscle.
Even without trying, he felt like he could easily lift a tank as if it were nothing more than a pillow. His breathing was unbelievably light. His hearing had increased far more than before.
Birds chirping several street away sounded crystal clear if he concentrated. He could hear ants and earthworm crawling beneath the soil. Heck, he could even distinguish individual heartbeat from neighboring houses.
And don’t even get him started on his eye sight. He could see the texture of every leaf from the big apple tree not too far away. Everything just appeared unbelievably vivid.
"So this... Is the Ascendant Realm? I must admit it really is amazing! I feel so much more stronger than before!"
Floating right beside his ear, the tiny chibi clapped her hands together excitedly, with a wide grin plastered on her cute face.

Alex stared at the floating blue screen with a mix of surprise and profound joy. Yes! His physical stats had increased by fifteen times, explaining the heavy, explosive sense of power he felt inside his muscles.
But the thing that gave him joy the most were the terrifying new upgrades to his copied abilities. Deathfrost Blooms could now literally drain half of a person’s lifespan upon impact, making it a lethal ability against anyone who had the balls to fight him.
Furthermore, now Eyes of Chronos could not only see into the future but he now had the ability to slow down time to a twentieth of its original speed for over four minutes, meaning he would practically be untouchable in a fast paced battle.
However just as he was admiring his skills, the joyful smile on his handsome face completely vanished.
Without any warning, a familiar foreign sensation hit him. It was like the exact same feeling he had experienced when Olivia was in grave danger. But this time, the feeling was much more worse than the last time.
It was so bad, that it nearly made him drop to his knees, and caused cold beads of sweat to trickle down his forehead. Luckily, he was able to endure it.
When he thought of which of his women could be in danger he suddenly remembered Jade, Doris, and Nyx. He didn’t know why? but he felt that it just had to be them.
Wait! Those damn bastards of a family! Alex’s eyes darkened with murderous intent as he gripped his fists so hard that his knuckles turned completely white. The awful feeling meant the worst case scenario he had been dreading, was beginning to happen.
The Kade family must have completely broken their word and totally ignore the twenty four hour ultimatum they had given. But too bad for them, he had already broken through to B Rank!
