Chapter 136: Ming Tao. . .
His scent filled her nose and Mira could not help but have a strange feeling knowing he was behind her. Mira turned slowly to face him.
Ming Tao. He had a fierce look on his face that drastically changed into a relaxed one the moment he sighted her face. Mira’s heart skipped a beat. It had been so long since she saw her husband. She wanted him to come home.
Ming Tao lowered his gaze to the thing in her hand then back at her. She noticed his eyes held questions that she knew she could not answer. Was he going to rat her out?
Would he expose her to Hye Yang?
Or worse, would he hurt her?
Mira immediately shook that thought out. Her husband said he would never do anything to hurt her and even though he was behaving in ways she could not understand, all she had to do was trust him.
Mira swallowed, her body stiffened at the sight of him and she did not know whether to resume doing what she was doing or just stay still there. She knew she had no time, that cub would be back any minute now and Hye Yang would catch her red handed if she stayed here but she did not know what to do.
"Ming Tao." Mira said calmly.
The cheetah did not say a word, he just kept his gaze on her with a hardened face. Mira stretched one of her hands forward slowly to reach for his face. Ming Tao shifted his head back. He did not say a word and that made Mira all the more confused.
"I won’t hurt you, darling. You used to love my pats." Mira stated softly, reaching her hand out to him again. The cheetah’s eyes were dead into hers but he shifted his head back again. He was his usual calm but he stared at her like she was nothing, like they never shared anything together and he was not just inside of her a few nights ago.
Mira understood he did not want her hand anywhere near him so she returned it back to holding the laxative. It ached her to know that he preferred her sister’s touch to hers but she did not say a word. Since Ming Tao did not say anything either, she continued pouring more laxatives in Hye Yang’s food and shook it till the colour blended well into the bloody meat. She hoped laxatives had no obvious taste, Mira wanted Hye Yang’s ass to be on fire the moment she finished eating this meal.
Mira closed the laxative cap and turned to face her husband. He just stood there watching what she was doing silently.
"I will go now." She said to him. Ming Tao still did not say a word.
Mira felt her heart break. She did not want to leave him here. It was so darn hard to see the one she wanted to be with the most in the space of another woman who wanted her dead.
"Can you at least tell me one thing?" Mira asked, her voice a broken whisper.
Ming Tao did not say a word and Mira took it as his acceptance to her question so she proceeded to ask. "Why? Why are you doing all of this? Why are you doing this to me? You said you love me. Why don’t you come back home to me? What did I do wrong?"
’Why are you with my sister, the one who tried to take my life in the pride land that you witnessed first hand?’ Mira wanted to ask so badly but she held it in. She wanted to take it a step at a time and right now, Ming Tao did not even consider her enough to talk to her and it ached something inside of her. She felt her chest get heavy and her head began to spin.
The cheetah before her still did not know that she was carrying his child.
Mira and Ming Tao stared at each other in a long silence. Ming Tao’s mouth finally parted open and he was about to speak when a voice beamed from behind him.
"You would not believe what just happened honey." Resounded in the atmosphere as Hye Yang pushed her body past tall leaves to the open area where she camped. Hye Yang paused to look at the cheetah who stood where she was resting before. "Is something wrong?" She asked him.
Mira froze. Her eyes widened and her heart began to thump violently in her chest as her sister came in. Hye Yang was not with the cub. Mira’s mind raced on what would have happened between those two and she was torn between showing herself and asking or staying hidden.
[ That should be the least worry on your mind.
What you should ask yourself is; what would Ming Tao do?] blared in the screen before her.
Mira felt her throat go dry. Ming Tao was still staring at her. She could not read his expression and could not anticipate what he would do next.
Mira shut her eyes and muttered a silent prayer in her mind. It was then a heavy figure rested on her, pushing her form flat to the ground.
Mira’s eyes bulged open at this. Ming Tao placed his hand over her mouth to stop her from speaking as his body stayed on her. Mira did not know that to think. He was heavy. Really weighty and she wondered how she did not notice this weight when he was on top of her the night they had sex.
[For one, you had sex with his human form.] System chimed.
Right.
Right, she did.
Now, all Mira could think of was what it would be like to have intercourse with Ming Tao’s beast. She wondered if it would be the same. Or if he would be bigger.
She wondered if she would rip.
[ He would destroy you, host! ] system chimed.
Mira could not feel her mouth but she imagined she had a half grin on her face at that. She wanted his cock to destroy her insides. She was a beast woman and she was sure that she could take it. But that was a thought for later, right now she could barely breathe with his weight on her.
He was massive. His entire form covered her body and more, leaving only a small portion of her torso and face out for her to inhale and exhale but that was all.
"I was hungry for food." Ming Tao uttered.
This was the first time she had heard his voice since he left her at the stream.
"And I perceived food all the way here. Apparently, it was only enough for you." Ming Tao growled.
Hye Yang walked closer. Mira could not see her but she heard the sound of her feet hitting the ground. "I could bring some for you. It was part of the ones I stole from the farm."
Mira wanted to get the hell up and charge at her sister but she was completely outmatched in strength. She bought those animals and no way in hell was her sister eating from them. Now Mira wondered how many Hye Yang stole and just how long Hye Yang stayed in the cheetah clan to know the word ’farm’. She must have been here longer than Mira thought and Mira could not help but wonder if Ming Tao knew all along.
If he did, why did he not suspect her when the farm was messed with? Was he trying to cover her tracks by accusing his own people? Mira asked herself. She had no answer, her husband had been acting differently for a while now and she had no answer to anything that was on his mind.
"That would be appreciated. I do not want to hunt." Ming Tao said.
Hye Yang giggled. She muttered something that made Mira roll her eyes before she left.
’You would never have to hunt again when I am by your side, honey.’ Were the words they left Hye Yang’s lips.
First off, that snake was a fox. Secondly, cheetahs hunted better than foxes. And thirdly, that sneaky fox did not even hunt what she was eating so what nonsense was she on about? Mira thought. She did not say anything though, not like she could.
A short while passed before Ming Tao got up from Mira. He took his hand off her mouth as well.
"Thank you." Mira said. Her husband lied to keep her from being discovered and she did not know if that meant something. She was just glad it happened.
"Don’t thank me." Ming Tao muttered coldly. This set Mira’s head straight, maybe she just overthought the situation.
Mira gulped. She pushed her body up and got on all fours. "Do not eat that." She said to Ming Tao. "It is my only way to repay your kindness." She added.
She hoped he would listen to her, it would be for his own good. Ming Tao did not say another word.
Mira crawled back to where she came from and when she was half way through, she heard Ming Tao speak.
"Take the left. It will lead you to a narrow path that is a short cut to the cheetah clan."
Mira turned her head back to face him. She nodded then continued her journey.
What. . . she asked herself, did this encounter mean?
