Chapter 135: Caught
Mira watched as the cub made his way through the leaves that served as a blockade the direction her sister was laying down.
Hye Yang heard the rustling of leaves then turned to face the direction the noise came from.
Mira saw her face. Hye Yang was eating. It seemed like the universe was on Mira’s side today! Putting laxatives in her food would be an easy success.
System, how much are laxatives? Mira questioned in her mind.

A screen was displayed before Mira right in the section she wanted with different kinds of laxatives in her face.
Mira knew so many companies existed but she never imagined there would be so many that produced laxatives.
I want the strongest that can make even a whale bleed through the anus! Mira stated in her mind.
[In that case, this is the best suitable option, host!] System chimed. A laxative bottle was displayed before her out of the many. A half grin formed on Mira’s lips. She turned her face to look at the cub who was still putting on a show then back at the screen before her.
"How much is this, system?" Mira muttered out loud in a whisper.

"But it." Mira said immediately. She knew how much system points she had left and there was no need to even think about this. She made up her mind before she even had the brilliant idea to try this out.

The timing to have a lot of system points stored was priceless, Hye Yang did not know what was coming to her.
Mira peered her head at the cub again. He had Hye Yang’s full attention. She did not hear what these two were talking about but she did not need to know, she just needed her sister distracted long enough for her to put the laxatives in her food.
Mira could not sneak right to where the food was though, one single turn was all it would take to have her sister catching her red handed then she and the cub would be in danger. Mira still did not know if Ming Tao was around this place and as far as she was concerned, Mu Yang was still around this place.
He was masturbating, but still close. It would be easy for Hye Yang to call for him and he might stop what he was doing and come to help her. Mira was outnumbered. There was nothing a pregnant fox who could not shift and a cheetah cub could do to two full grown, adult foxes in their beast forms.
The cub trailed his eyes towards Mira. This made Mira freeze. She wondered if he could smell her. If he could, then it would not take long for Hye Yang to perceive her too.
Mira raised both her hands and gestured at him to go. The cub turned his eyes away from her and continued being dramatic. He returned his gaze to her again then Mira mouthed the words as she gestured with her hand.
"Go far away so she would not come here or see me." Were the mouthed words Mira said to the cub. She hoped he understood, it would be chaotic if he did not.
The cub grinned and pointed his fingers hidden behind him up then rubbed the tip of his fingers together. Mira could not believe this. That child was asking for a bribe.
She nodded then gestured him to go.
"All of the other cubs are blinded by food to even care. I hate her! I do not want to eat her poisonous food and I do not want her to be here!" The cub yelled about to Hye Yang.
This was the only thing he said all this time that Mira heard and she had to admit, his acting was good.
[ That is if he was acting, host! ]
The cub’s words when Mira told him to pretend to hate her immediately replayed in Mira’s head. She would rather not think about that right now, she had other things to do.
[ Hahaha. ] system chimed.
"Is that why you have come here? All alone?" Hye Yang’s voice was soft and gentle.
This witch! Mira said in her mind, she only knew how to pretend nice when it was news she liked. Mira rolled her eyes.
"I wanted to run away. I want to go back to the way it was before she arrived here. She is stealing all my friends with her good for nothing cooking!" The boy ranted.
"Mira Yang can cook?" Were the first words to leave Hye Yang’s mouth, she sounded dumbfounded. She immediately cleared her throat and said, "I know how that must feel. You must feel so alone and enraged. You poor child do not deserve to feel this way to the point of running far from home." Hye Yang sounded sympathetic. Anyone hearing her would not believe that she was the same one who pushed a cub in a river to drown.
"I just want things to go back to the way they were." The boy sounded like he wanted to cry. He pushed his body towards Hye Yang’s in a hug. Mira could only see Hye Yang’s back so she was not sure what facial expression she had at this moment.
"Things can." Hye Yang uttered. "I can help you get rid of her too."
This was when Mira’s attention shifted. She narrowed her eyes and listened keenly to what her sister had to say. Maybe her sister would give all her secret up to this cub considering he was a child. The boy would not understand the gravity of her words anyway, Mira thought.
"Really?" The cub sounded excited. "How? I want that so much!" He added. His body was still glued to Hye Yang’s legs as he hugged her tighter. Mira could see his small fingers clutch behind her legs.
"Yes. I too know what it feels like to have the things you love taken away simply because someone had to be born early. Or first." Hye Yang’s tone shifted from sweet to icy in an instant. Mira had goosebumps at the sound of this. Never in her life had she done anything wrong to the woman standing before her yet that woman hated her very existence all because the old owner of this body was born first.
It made Mira feel sick. The old owner of this body loved her little sister. She cherished her so much. It was one of the reasons she always believed whatever Hye Yang said about Mu Yang and always took the blame for her sister’s mistakes.
Hye Yang must have known this and took advantage of the old owner of this body’s naivety.
It irked Mira to the bone. Even after choosing to spare the life of that woman, she still came after her own blood sister with the hopes of revenge.
Mira had only seen this kind of envy in books and movies and through stories of other people’s life experiences on social media but she never expected to experience this first hand and in a different world.
Hye Yang needed to go. She did not need to be banished or shown mercy, otherwise she would come back again and try to hurt Mira. She had to be out of the way for good.
Mira swallowed at the thoughts that coursed through her head. She wanted to be the one to take the sweet, slow and little revenge on Hye Yang first hand while exposing her sister’s evil deeds to the entire people on the beast world but now, all that she wanted was for Hye Yang to be gone. Never in Mira’s life did she imagine that she would want somebody to die so badly till now.
What sucked was the fact that the old Mira would have been happy for Hye Yang if the roles were reversed and if she was the younger one instead. From the old Mira’s memories, if her sister asked her to step out of the way so she could marry her fated husbands instead, Mira would have easily agreed, after all, she was in love with someone else and wanted nothing to do with her five beast husbands yet the person that Mira would have sacrificed everything for was the one who plotted to have her killed.
And Hye Yang succeeded. For this Mira to be in this body, it meant that the old Mira died.
Mira felt her stomach churn, suddenly, laxatives was too good of a punishment for Hye Yang.
"Let me take you to the place I store it." Echoed in the environment. This made Mira snap back to life. She completely zoned out and forgot those two were communicating.
"Lead the way, my hero! You should be our mighty cheetah’s wife instead!" The cub stated.
He spared Mira a glance and stuck his thumb up as he and Hye Yang left the space. He got the job done. That boy deserved more than meat.
Mira immediately snuck out of her hiding place and opened the laxatives bottle. She poured it onto Hye Yang’s food and mixed the content in the bowl so well so it does not look like it was tampered with.
It was then she saw a shadow loom behind her. A massive figure that breathed heavily at her neck. Mira felt her face go pale. She knew that scent anywhere.
She had been caught.
