Chapter 218: Eat It Or Fuse It
’Ohhh! Yes, I haven’t figured out what to do with the spider dungeon... Talking about Spider Dungeon, where is Olivia? I haven’t heard about her yet. It shouldn’t have taken this long... unless she is wondering in her realm like Vexar..’
’What is wrong with people who like swords...’ Dhruv was about to delve into this matter deeper when he suddenly realized that he was in a meeting. Controlling his thoughts, he focused on the real matter.
"So, what do you propose we should do with that dungeon?" Dhruv asked as he looked at Thala with his deep gazes.
"M-Me... why me?" Thala was surprised that the lord had just asked for his feedback on this crucial matter.
"Why not... You are a leader as well... aren’t you?" Dhruv asked with a smile on his face.
"I-if... you put it that way, then I’m..." Thala nodded hesitantly.
"So, what are your suggestions?" Dhruv repeated.
"I think we shouldn’t permit anyone who hasn’t evolved to tier 3 into the dungeon anymore. If you and the guardians could provide help, then it would be absolutely great as well..." Thala began to explain all the possible ways to tackle this problem.
’Hhmm! He really is talkative when it comes to his field...’ Dhruv thought as he continued to hear Thala’s suggestions.
After a few minutes of more babbling, Thala finally paused to take a breath. Seizing this opportunity quickly Dhruv intervened.
"Those are all great ideas... I think you should be the lead of this spider dungeon expedition team. Although I won’t be able to come with you, I will certainly send three guardians with you..." Dhruv answered as he looked toward three of his most trusted allies.
Alaric was the one who wouldn’t go with Thala, as he had created all his plans for the next few days with Dhruv.
Dhruv and Alaric, both of them, were going on another expedition of their own. After all, there is another dungeon beside the two they had already ventured into.
"That would be great, my lord..." Listening to Dhruv’s proposal, Thala agreed without hesitation.
Seeing that this problem has been sorted as well, Dhruv looked at others and asked, "Is there anything else you might want to talk with me?"
"No." Lyra was the first one to reply.
"I don’t think so," Thala replied.
"Me neither." Navi answered his part as well.
Because nobody had anything to ask, all of them decided to take their leave after bowing to their lord. Now, looking at the four members, who were the only ones left in the room, Dhruv opened his mouth and addressed something.
"Alaric, do you remember the experiment I was doing last or perhaps the night before?" Dhruv asked with a smile on his face.
"Are you talking about the experiment which involved slimes?" Alaric asked.
"Yes, that’s the one," Dhruv quickly replied.
"Yes, I remember that, Master," Alric replied without hesitation.
"Guess what happened," Dhruv asked with a smile on his face.
Without any hesitation or delay, Alric replied, "You succeeded."
The answer was so fast that Dhruv got caught off guard. Dhruv knew not to ask why he had said it this instantly because he knew if he were to ask that, they would begin to sing his praises once again.
Sigh!
Taking a deep sigh, he asked another question, "Do you want to know what the experiment was about?"
Saying this, he looked at all four of his guardians. As expected, all of them nodded their heads vigorously.
"So, in the experiment, I was trying to figure out if it would be possible to fuse with the monster and get their essence directly without eating them. And as you have already guessed... yes, we can do that." Dhru briefly explained about his experiment.
Listening to all this, Azarex asked something with very much curiosity, "Can we continue to absorb essence this way, or do we need to wait for some time?"
Dhruv is about to answer this question but without saying anything he shuts his lips closed. He was forced to think about this for a moment to come up with an answer. Looking at Azarex’s human form with deep gazes, he answered,
"I don’t know about you... but I have some kind of cooldown before I can fuse another batch," Dhruv answered.
"Why are you not sure about us, Master?" Azarex asked the obvious question.
"Because I don’t really know how your body works... So let’s use you as an example," Dhruv answered as he looked toward Azarex... "You are a skeleton in your monster form... Right..." Dhruv asked.
"Right." Azarex answered without hesitation.
"So where are the foods you eat going?" Dhruv asked.
"In a particular space that is mostly known as the stomach in humans," Azarex replied without any hesitation.
Dhruv was so surprised by this that he was about to blur out something inappropriate and ruin his reputation. He was surprised because he really didn’t have any clue that even Azarex possessed a stomach.
Controlling his emotions, he asked another question, "Does your stomach also need some time to digest the foods you have eaten?"
"Yes," Azarex answered without any change in his emotion.
"Then you would need some cooldown between each fusion as well," Dhruv answered as he was sure about this answer.
"Ohh! Okay then," Azarex answered.
"So, what do you suggest, do you want to fuse to gain essence, or do you want to eat it?" Dhruv asked the final question.
"I want to eat."
"Same here."
"Same, Master."
"I’m a big fan of eating as well."
All of them answered without any second thought.
’Looks like, unlike me, someone enjoys eating those monsters... good for them.’ Dhruv thought as he looked at his guardian in another view today.
"It’s your choice. If you need me to fuse with a monster, you know where to look for."
After talking for another five minutes, all of them began to move toward their own houses. Reaching his bedroom, Dhruv tried to get some rest. Lying on his bed, he closed his eyes.
...
’Ops! I forgot to give that blueprint to master.’ Grec thought as he brought out the blueprint from his inventory and began to read it.
