Chapter 208: Excited For A Yonger Brother
"Fusi..." Dhruv was about to start the fusion when he was interrupted by Vexar, forcing him to cancel the ability.
"Wait, master... Did you just say, brother..." Vexar asked with a face full of surprise.
"Yes, because that’s what I was about to do..." Dhruv muttered as he looked at the demon lord.
"Like brother... brother..." Vexar said with a smile on his face.
"Yes... why are you suddenly so excited about it.." Dhruv said, confused by Vexar’s behavior.
’Why is he so excited about this when he wasn’t showing any signs after all the hints I was giving them...’ Dhruv thought. It didn’t take him long to figure out why he was suddenly showing this much emotion.
’How could I think that this little dimwit could pick up the hint and think on his own...’ Dhruv almost facepalmed himself as he figured this out.
This was further strengthened by the fact that Alaric wasn’t showing any emotion besides having a smile on his face.
"Nothing, master. I’m just excited..." Dhruv whispered.
’So... excited to get a younger brother... wait till he begins to create messes for you...’ Dhruv mocked Vexar as he looked at the corpse once again.
"There is nothing else you want to know, right..?" Dhruv asked sarcastically as he looked at Vexar.
"Right, Master?" Vexar quickly replied as he began to observe everything with all the focus he could muster.
’Right... here goes nothing...’ Thinking this, Dhruv activated the fusion ability for the second time.
"Fusion..."
The moment this whisper left his mouth, a white orb formed in his hand. Looking at the orb in front of him, he began to send commands for the fusion. After a minute of carefully commanding the orb... he heaved a sigh of relief.
After commanding the core, he didn’t let it go and activated his deep focus mode. The next thing was going to be the most important part of this whole fusion process.
’Splitting and giving it a part of my soul...’ Dhruv thought as he began to focus on his soul. This time, Dhruv had to be extra careful while doing this because today he couldn’t just send out a tenth percent of his soul.
When he had created three guardians, he had lost 30% of his soul, which hadn’t been regenerated and won’t regenerate unless someone with soul manipulation or something like that actively helps him.
Finding a soul manipulator won’t be easy as that is a pretty unique element. Even after finding a manipulator, it won’t be guaranteed that it would be able to heal him.
That’s why Dhruv was not going to continue making guardians after completing the ones he had already planned on making.
’So for this one to be at the same level as the others, I have to send about 14.30% of my total soul. Well, this shouldn’t be that hard...’ Dhruv thought as he tapped into his soul.
The reason why Dhruv thought that this was going to be easy... because he had identified the problem he had made during the creation of the trio. Last time he had given direct access to his soul to the orb... on top of giving it the access he hadn’t placed any limitation.
When the orb didn’t find any barrier, it thought that it could continue absorbing, and when the time would come, the master would block the gate... Dhruv was too late to realize this and it had consumed 30% of his soul.
It was fortunate enough that he had managed to take control after that...
But this time, Dhruv himself becomes the medium between the two and only let the orb suck his soul very slowly. After a few minutes of carefully doing that, he had finally reached the optimal percentage.
After the fusion with the soul, the color of the orb changed from white to golden. Looking at the golden core for the last time, he threw it toward the body of the boss.
Surrounding the boss was the body of ten warriors, and on top of him lay the final core of the dungeon.
Dhruv didn’t have an inch of an idea what was going to happen when the core was involved with the fusion... but he had a feeling that nothing bad would happen.
The golden orb flew from his hand and began to move toward its target at a slow speed. After touching the corpse of the boss, it expanded and covered all the monsters and the fusion items around him.
As the golden dome formed, Dhruv began to wait for the fusion to finish. Knowing that this was going to take a long time, he began to take a look at all the available spells in his metal manipulation.
After his fight with the boss, he felt that the metal manipulation ability had upgraded once again, granting him many more new spells to play with. After a minute, he found a few spells that could become his favorites.
Telekinetic Manipulation, Metallic Reflection, Molecular Transformation, and Metallic Tempest were some of his favorite ones.
Telekinetic manipulation lets him manipulate metallic objects through telekinesis instead of using mana to do that.
After using Metallic Reflection, his entire body will transform into a very smooth metal. When he was in this form most physical attacks would just slip on his skin instead of being connected with him.
With the use of Molecular Transformation, he could bend the real-world metal which he was incapable of doing until now.
And Metallic Tempest is just a very good version of the serrated blade spell.
Dhruv didn’t immediately try to master any of these spells as they wouldn’t be of any use and instead began to find spells that were more on the offensive side. There are numerous such spells... picking one of them, he began to practice it.
...
"Master, it’s happening..." Dhruv heard Vexar’s excited sound. Stopping his training, he ran toward the orb and began to observe the process.
Vexar was right, as right in front of him, the golden dome disintegrated into tiny golden particles... leaving a single naked green guardian on the floor.
