Chapter 207: Another Guardian

While walking toward the portal, Dhruv brought out the core of the spider dungeon he had obtained from Thala and began to inspect it with the help of his inspect-or glass.

It took him some time to gather all the information, but he was eventually able to note everything in his notebook. Putting the core and glass back into his ring, he began to read the description of the core.

’This one will grant a skill after consuming the core...uhmmm! That would have been pretty good if the consequences for using the skill wasn’t death...’ Dhruv reacted as he read the first enchantment of the core.

"So the second one is pretty much the same... instead of fusing it into a portal, I have to fuse it with the rest of its own parts. So from here, Thala has figured that there will be another four bosses in the dungeon... pretty smart," Dhruv thought as he read the final enchantment of the shard.

With no more things to read, Dhruv put the notebook back into his ring and entered the first of many portals.

Instead of walking, Dhruv decided to use the full effect of his agility and began to run toward the cave. Normally, it would have taken him ten minutes to reach the cave, but after sprinting, he reached the second portal in just two minutes.

Entering the second portal, he felt somewhat proud of his own speed. Upon appearing on the other side, he used the same method and ran toward the third portal. Entering it, he finally appeared in the middle of the village.

’Have I teleported into some kind of hell...’ Dhruv couldn’t help but think as he compared the situation of the village before and after he left this place.

Everything in front of him was on fire—buildings were on fire, trees were on fire, corpses were on fire, weapons were on fire, even the goddamn land was on fire.

’What kind of spell was he using...’ Dhruv asked himself as he began to walk into the village. After walking around in the smoke for a while his mind turned on as he remembered something.

In a panic, he connected with Alaric and asked, [The corpse of the boss monster is fine... right, Alaric?]

[Yes, master, the corpse is alright.] The sound of someone responsible rang in his mind.

Sigh!!

Heaving a sigh of relief, Dhruv asked where they were,

[We are in the middle of the village where you have fought the boss master...] Alaric replies comes from the other side of the connection.

[Coming..] Nodding his head, Dhruv began to walk toward the middle of the village by following the map.

Having his mind calmed down he began to notice some abnormalities.

’Where are all the corpses...’ Dhruv thought as he found out that there weren’t many corpses around the village. To be more precise, there wasn’t any intact corpse; every corpse he saw was burnt out.

[Alaric, where are all the corpses?] With a little bit of panic, Dhruv was forced to ask another question.

[I have secured all the corpses...] Alaric carefully explained.

Alaric wasn’t stupid enough to let all the precious essence points go to waste, and that’s why while Vexar was fighting with the monster, he was busy securing the corpses.

All in all, he was able to save 75% of the population this way. Dhruv was happy with this percentage as he knew that if it wasn’t for Alaric, the only thing he would’ve been able to get were cores. And cores because they don’t catch one fire. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂

After another minute of walking, he finally reached the place where both of them were sitting. Alaric was busy guarding the corpse from any other source of danger besides the one sitting beside him.

While Vexar was healing himself... yes, after this much mayhem, even he didn’t come out unscathed.

The good thing was that he had the blood of Phoenix in himself, and after becoming tier 3, he was able to heal himself with some kind of golden flame.

Dhruv was fond of this ability, and he had tried to achieve it many times, but the only thing he got his hands on was failure. After a while, he stopped trying, thinking that it must be the effect of some kind of organ.

"Was everything okay... you guys didn’t hurt yourselves that much, right?" Dhruv asked as he looked at both of his guardians.

"No, master... aside from some hiccups, everything went surprisingly well," Alric replied as he turned his head toward Vexar.

"I am all right as well, master... after some more wait, my mana and health, both of them will be on top as well," Vexar replied with a smile on his face. Unlike his brother, he didn’t blame anyone for his injuries.

"I’m glad everything is okay..." Dhruv replied as he looked at the corpse of the boss monster. In just a single glance he is able to tell that the corpse is in the same condition he has left it with.

Bending down, Dhruv removed all the rings the goblin was wearing. With this removal, he began the first process of this fusion. After removing everything except for some cloth to cover the private part, Dhruv turned around to Alaric and muttered,

"Bring out ten goblins, Alaric."

Before removing anything from the shadow, he looked at Dhruv and asked, "Warrior, mage, or something else category, master..."

’All three of them are mages; let’s make this one a bit different...’ Dhruv thought as he opened his mouth. He knew that the power of mana is great but he wanted some diversity as well.

"Warriors..." Dhruv replied without any hesitation.

Nodding his head, Alaric brought the ten finest goblin warriors from the shadow and laid them beside the monster...

"Get ready to welcome your fourth brother..." Dhruv announced as he looked at the corpse in front of him.

Quickly he brought the final dungeon core from his ring and placed it on top of the goblin’s chest.

With a smile on his face, he opened his mouth...

"Fusi...
