Chapter 189: Granting The Mark
Splash! Splash!...
Following splashing his face with water, Dhruv began to get ready to start his morning routine.
He didn’t get out of the bathroom and quickly proceeded to go to brush himself. After bathing and changing his clothes, he was finally ready to meet with the others.
Dhruv had already sent a message through Alaric that he was going to start the ceremony to grant the Mark so, everyone had to gather in an area within an hour. Due to that, the people were already getting ready just like Dhruv.
Getting out of the home, Dhruv was instantly able to notice the crowd that had gathered ahead of him. Dhruv approached the crowd with a smile on his face.
"So, are you guys ready.." Dhruv asked as he looked at the crowd in front of him.
"Yes..."
"As ready as anyone can get."
"...."
"....."
Different types of feedback began to get thrown toward him. Even though the words used in the feedback were different, all of them were expressing the same thing.
Hearing the enthusiastic response from the crowd, Dhruv had to lift his hand to calm them down. Looking at everyone’s smiling faces, he muttered,
"I see... I see... Let’s start the ceremony without any delay.." Dhruv stated as he approached the nearest person around him.
"So, Jacbo, you are the first one..." Dhruv addressed as he looked at the man in front of him.
Dhruv was able to remember the name of this person because of his hair... he didn’t know if he should call this thing which more looks like a bird nest than hair.
"It seems today is my lucky day, my lord." Jacbo politely bowed.
Nodding his head Dhruv urged, "Give me your hand."
Hearing the command, Jacbo quickly brings his hand toward Dhruv. Looking at the hand, Dhruv shakes it and thinks of something.
’Add him to My species.’ While having this thought in his mind, he activated the power of the Mark.
Just a moment later, a notification appeared in front of Jacbo.
[Do you want to join the species: Asteri.]
[Yes/No]
[Note: If you join this species, you can’t change your species to human anymore.]
Jacob didn’t have to ask anyone to know that he was supposed to click on the yes menu, and that was exactly what he did. The moment he clicked on the yes button, a weird sensation began to travel inside him.
The weird energy made multiple rounds of his body within a second, and when it was satisfied, it came to his right hand, just above his palm, and dissolved.
Moments after the energy dissolving, the Mark in the form of a tattoo began to appear on his hand. It had appeared at the same exact place where the energy had dissolved.
Looking at the beautiful tattoo filled with stars on his hand, a whisper left Jacob’s mouth, "How beautiful it is.."
After mesmerizing the tattoo for a moment, Jacob quickly got out of the place so others could have the chance as well.
Dhruv didn’t wait either and quickly began to grant out Mark to each and every single one of them. As he had suspected, it took him about 1.5 to 2 hours of time by the time he had reached the last person.
Fortunately, the last person to get the Mark was Olivia, a group leader while also a fierce swordsman. After granting the mark to Olivia, Dhruv faced her and confessed.
"If you are wondering, then... Yes, this is the reason why I had stopped you from evolving back then." Dhruv addressed with a smile on his face.
"I had already guessed the same, My lord." Olivia nodded; after hearing last night’s announcement, she had already guessed about this.
"So when are you going to evolve, as you already know? You can’t use coins after evolving." Dhruv asked.
"After earning coins from the slime farm, I will start as soon as possible," Olivia stated as she looked in a particular direction.
Following her gaze, Dhruv found out that she was looking at a particular group. He instantly recognized who they were, "You should go and meet with the group."
"Then, Excuse me, My lord."
Dhruv nodded and let her go and meet with her group.
’Slime farm.. We have to start the farm as soon as possible.’ Dhruv thought as he looked at the sky.
Even though it was nine in the morning, it still felt somewhat cold outside. Noticing this, he couldn’t help as a thought appeared in his mind,
’So, winter is coming.’ while having this thought, a smile appeared on Dhruv’s face.
[Alaric, Bring Navi and other important members. We are going to start the slime farm.] Dhruv connected with Alaric.
[On my way, master.] Alaric replied as he cut the connection.
Having his part done here, Dhruv began to move toward the slime farm. After just a few minutes of walking, he reached the area where the slime farm was located.
’It looks even simpler in the morning.’ Dhruv thought as he observed the farm in front of him. He was having this thought because at night, he wasn’t able to see the farm clearly due to the darkness.
In front of him was a trap door-type object placed in the ground, and tens of meters of area was covered with a layer of wood. Having seen the blueprint, Dhruv already knew how everything worked.
Having nothing to do, Dhruv began to walk around the farm and observe it. While he was observing the farm, the rest of the people reached the place as well.
"You called us, My lord." Navi was the first one to ask this question.
"Yes, we need to start the farm as soon as possible. As you already know, multiple people are going to evolve in the near future due to all this fighting, and thus we have to be ready as well." Dhruv explained.
"Then, should we start this thing right at this moment?" Navi asked.
While nodding, Dhruv asked a question, "So, what are we waiting for?"
"Nothing, my lord.." Navi said as he moved toward the trap door. After reaching the trap door, he pulled some type of lever. The moment the lever was pulled, the door of the trapdoor dropped.
A few moments after the opening of the door, a cute, little lime slime got out of it.
