Chapter 192: Taesan roulette

Seoha’s POV

"Come on, come on, lift those feet" Grandma calls like a personal trainer.

We are going to the riverside with our fishing tools. It’s been so long, and I’m excited.

My fingers keep dancing on the edge of my new collar.

The bad dream that woke me up from didn’t give me the chance to celebrate my new reality...I am owned, claimed and marked by my fated mate.

With every three steps I take, I can’t help but lift my hand to feel the fine leather resting on my neck.

I look over my shoulder sneakily to steal a glimpse of the alpha behind us.

"Come on" my alpha says, beckoning for me to come and as I take the first step towards him, my grandma starts to talk.

"Taesan!" I gasp with disbelief and he only shrugs at me with a suggestive smirk on his face.

"My teacher said it’s bad to bet" Sooin says, still hopping ahead of us.

"Yah..." I start to protest but they are all talking at once, even little Sooin is excited about the ’game’.

"I want to keep daddy!" my pup raises her hand, jumping up and down to involve herself in the irrelevant conversation.

"No one is playing this silly game" I roll my eyes.

"I’ll play, unless your big bad alpha is scared" grandma says over her shoulder and Taesan curses under his breath at his challenge.

"This is so fun" Jisu giggles with too much excitement.

She might need to have a DNA test, she’s acting too much like Minjae. I believe that they have more mischief than red blood cells in their bodies.

’Minjae’ my omega says my best friend’s name softly, reminding me that I haven’t spoken to him in a while.

Even yesterday morning when we left the house for this trip, I didn’t get to see him in my former room.

It doesn’t take long before we arrive at the riverside. Grandma, Taesan and Jisu start to set up the spot for our picnic while I move away to call Minjae on grandma’s phone.

"Hello?" I say into the phone as soon as Minjae accepts the call, and I’m greeted with a yawn.

"Seo-ya, you’re alive" my best friend says.

"Why wouldn’t I be?" I ask with a giggle and he yawns again, making me feel worried about him.

"Yes! I just feel like a train ran me over" he giggles.

"Did you get hit? Does your stomach hurt? Will you go to the hospital?" the panicked questions start to rush out of my mouth.

"I know, I promise I’m okay" Minjae purrs, soothing my worried omega’s nerves. "And I promise I’m not trying to use Junho to get over it" he adds and my shoulders drop with relief.

"Yes, oh and Seoha, when you get back I’d like to go to the hospital with you" Minjae says.

I bring my voice down to give my response, "no, not yet".

"I’ll do it, I’ll show him!" I say in panic at the image of Minjae barging into Taesan’s room and forcing me into the alluring lingerie we bought.
