Chapter 417: Chapter 417: Uncertainty

Three beasts versus nearly 300 others of the same level. Any sane person would naturally think they were crazy.

But the results showed something different entirely. The leader of this group faced the bear by himself or so he tried.

But her power was too immense, her massive claws ripped the ground and the sky to shreds with each swing.

Thos forced him to call his comrades for support but unfortunately he didn’t receive any.

All of his comrades were fighting each other, their eyes had turned pink with love hearts in them.

Pink mist covered the entire battlefield. The perpetrator of this sat on the side watching w everything with amusement.

The ability she had used was based mostly on will, it doesn’t matter how strong you are, if your will is weaker than hers,you were dead.

Nobody in this group had a will strong enough to rival hers and so they all fell for her spell.

Infatuated with her, they obeyed every single command she gave them without question. Even the females were no different.

" Alright stop I’ll give you the flag." He gritted his teeth and took out the flag and gave it to them.

He was the assigned leader of his universe so the flag was in his person. He took his people and they flew off.

All of them were terrified, they knew those three weren’t the absolute strongest from Pangera.

Yet they, the top fighters of their universe couldn’t even do anything to them. The four eyed man was the most confused.

He was a mythical grade beings yet he couldn’t even hold his own against a legendary grade beasts.

’ What the hell is wrong with this universe?’ he wondered.

Ved and Naledi eventually found each other after an entire week. This phase was meant to last a month.

In the past week, they had met and fought others multiple times before meeting each other again.

" Where to?" Naledi asked while resting on his back. He didn’t answer and flapped his wings.

After a few dozen hours of flying they finally reached a large mountain. Ved drilled a cave into the mountain.

" There’s no reason for us to fight anybody. Pangera is bound to win and since we don’t have the flag, they shouldn’t bother us."

Naledi nodded, " That makes sense." She waved her hand and took out a corpse of a massive beast.

Ved skinned it, lit up a fire and roasted the beast. When he was done they ate. " Your cooking is still great."

Naledi commented while devouring an entire leg that weighed over a hundred tons like it was a piece of a chicken leg.

" Where does all that food go?" He asked but she just giggled. Ved transformed and took his human form.

A walk of earth rose and blocked the cave entrance sealing it shut. Naledi git undressed.

" Ahhh this feels good." He commented while resting in boiling hot water. Naledi rested in his arms.

They had decided to take a bath together while drinking wine she had been carrying. This wine was brewed by Cat.

It was extremely strong yet very delicious, Cat had brewed it using something called the golden nectar.

Which was just honey from a certain bee. The honey had laws making it effective in getting even them drunk.

" Are we going to spend the entire month like this? Aren’t the others going to be mad we didn’t assist with anything?"

She asked with worry. " Hehehe, you worry too much, relax. Besides, why should we care if they’re mad or not?"

She sighed, " They’re already calling you a nepo baby, if you don’t care that they look down on you, that’s on you."

Ved laughed out loud his voice booming through the cave like thunder. " I don’t care about the opinions of those beneath me.

Do you think the sea cares how many fish doubt it, no it doesn’t. The only one I care about us you."

He kissed her next passionately making her giggle. " Stop it, stop playing I’m serious here."

She pushed him off, " What? I really don’t care what they think, any who thinks I’m a nepo baby can come prove it."

" Well you might not care but I do, nobody insults my man and gets away with it, I’ll make them eat their words."

" Sure sure but we’re still not leaving this place right? When was the last time you actually relaxed.

I think we’re deserve a break, we’ve been fighting for too long now, we’ve worked hard."

" Maybe we should sue the boss." She joked. Ved relaxed, it was rare to see her playful side lately.

Which is understandable, she took the destruction of earth personally. She lost most of her subordinates.

People she had swan to protect, she probably felt she needed to grow stronger so as to not lose people again.

’ Oh perhaps those are my thoughts.’ Ved thought about the people he had left behind, those he had promised to protect.

Especially the rabbit clan which had followed him from the very start. He saw in White as well.

The desire for more strength, she was hurting and tried to hide it with her usual quirks.

But Ved was able to see through her, she was in deep pain. For Ved, it was the pain of losing his loyal subjects.

But for White, it was personal, she had lost her entire family or at least most of them since a few members of her clan survived.

Ved had lost a father and that was painful enough, he couldn’t imagine what White was going through.

" Come back to me." He felt a gentle hand on his face. He looked down and saw her looking at him with worry.

" What thought took you so far my love?" She asked.

He smiled softly, " Not much, I was thinking about our past and the future that lies in front of us."

" I see, don’t worry, I’ll always be there by your side." She whispered, he kissed her forehead.

" I know, because if I ever lost you, I’m not sure what I would do next." She giggled but Ved saw something in her eyes, fear.

She leaned in to kiss him, Ved knew exactly what was coming next and it’d been a while now, he got excited.

Suddenly the entire mountain shook and before they knew it, the peak was gone revealing the cave.

Above them stood 13 people grinning. " If it ain’t the lively couple."

Ved looked up, his eyes were as cold as ice. " You’ll pay for that."
